Nice job, arrived on time, did professional work. Months later, it's all good.

I was very afraid to take down the porch, (The house doctors had originally built it about 5 years ago.) The workers were very nice, respectful, humored me as I agonized over the event. They also worked around and in those many days of rain. The waterproofers removed a cement slab under the porch, dug down, discovered broken pipes and a foundation wall full of holes. New pipes were put in,city inspectors came, cement was put on wall and pipes were replaced to make access easier in the future if there is a leak, (as in we won't have to remove porch.) They put everything back, made improvements and stained deck in and around more rainy days. House Doctor supervisors came every day to check with the workers and me.

More recently a young man came to clean my gutters and he did an excellent job too. He cleaned up after himself well and bagged up all of the debris.

My experience was positive. The weather was the biggest hinderance to this portion of my project. The only drawback concerned my upper porch floorboards. The work crew only did roofs, so I will have to look elsewhere to get the floorboards replaced. I did receive some good advice about what to do about the upper porch. In the Spring I probably will need their services again.

We got them from Angie’s List. They were excellent. They had an estimate that was lower than what the job entailed. The job ended up needing a lot more work, but because they were doing the job they were doing it very very well. I told them to go ahead and finish it up, so it always ended up being a little more than they estimated going into it. It was okay. They did a really great job. They cleaned up every night after they were done. Everything was put away beside the garage. There were no nails in the driveway and no paint splatters all over the place. Their price was $2500. It included replacing some soffits in the back, which were rotted out. They were very professional. The job is holding up excellent. We can get the same price from others and get crap, so their price was good like their work. They didn’t do anything bad. When I called them and said that there was a mismatched paint on one side, they were out the next day. We would use them again in the future.

Problem # 1 was a sink with leaking handles "spraying" output nozzle. Special parts were needed because the Kohler brand parts are unique. The job was done within a couple of days, and the sink works just like new. The plumber cleaned up everything, and was very courteous. Problem # 2 was water dripping from a door frame in an upstairs bedroom. The solution was fixing a crumbling chimney that was pouring water into the attic. The fix included a new chimeny cap, brick tuck-pointing, and better flashing. Huge amount of rainfall recently and everything is nice and dry. The work was done in one day. Nice clean-up of all the debris. Problem # 3 was a number of leaks in the living room ceiling, all around a big skylight. The fix included new flashing, new ice guard sealing material, new shingles, better caulking around the skylight, and new plywood under the shingles. Lots of rain recently and all of the leaks have stopped. The workmen were polite, and worked very hard. The new shingles match the old ones perfectly, nice attention to detail on this repair.

They did a good job on the power washing but they came out twice with out notice.

Overall happy with my experience. All calls were promptly returned and they were easy to work with --accommodated my changing schedule in stting up a wok date. Happy with the wok that was done and the attention to detail ---- making sure the mirrors were hung exactly where and how I wanted them. We agreed to an hourly rate since the job was small which worked out well.

You will see many reports from me because they always do an excellent job. They are quick, courteous, respectful and always helpful. They are my number 1 choice for anything in my house.

We are preparing the house for sale and needed a leaking toilet repaired, a shower head replaced, a vanity installed, and two faucets and two light fixtures installed. I was very pleased with their work, with the time it took, and with the price.

They did an excellent job! He was very punctual and was very fast in getting the work done. When they worked on the shrubs, they did a great job and came right out. I will definitely use them again in the future. I highly recommend this company!

Excellent. I called in the morning and by early afternoon someone was there to figure out the problem and fix it. The House Doctors are responsive and kind, even apologizing for the problem. I will keep using them.

The son of the owner came out to do an estimate about a week after I called. Pretty reasonable, though I suppose I was hoping it was going to be sooner since water leaks can do significant damage if left unrepaired. He came out and did the estimate, and said he would replace the flashing. He said someone would contact me that night with the dollar estimate (he never gave me a price at the time of inspection). He also said they would be able to come out the next week. Never called with the estimate, and in fact never came out to do the work the next week. I called them throughout, perhaps once a week, and only once, about a month later, did they return my call. I talked to the owner, who said he would have his son (the one who did the estimate) give me a call. That never happened. It is now about 2 months since I first called them about an active water leak, and they have yet to even give me the price estimate, much less start the work. I will say that I should perhaps thank them; about a month and a half after I first called I decided to do it myself. I got up on my extension ladder and just tuckpointed and replaced some mortar, only about a half hour of work, and it is not leaking anymore. So I suppose if I had gone with a company who was more responsible I would be out at least a couple hundred dollars. Still, in any other situation I would be a lot more upset, so the fact it worked out despite House Doctors does not make it better. Also, upon getting up there myself, it was pretty clearly a hole in the mortar letting water into the chimney, so that also makes me wonder why he wanted to do the much more expensive and time-consuming flashing reinstallation (the flashing was redone recently and looked to be in good shape). There are mitigating factors, to be sure. This was an incredibly bad year in terms of rain, so any contractors who had to do work outside were extremely behind. Even indoor contractors were pretty busy. Also, it seems like people generally like this company, and I have nothing against them except my experience with them this time. So I imagine this was an outlier in terms of experiences with this company. Still, being reliable doesn't mean being good most of the time, it means being good all of the time, or at least trying to correct any issues once they occur.

The service was ok. It was a little bit higher that I would like. I'm not sure if he had subcontractors come out to do the service, but that is the only thing that I questioned.

Bob Vecchio responded to me via email and phone to let me know the cost, and that my gutters would be cleaned as soon as rain let up. That was on 10/15/2011 and our gutters were cleaned on 10/262011.

We are very pleased with the work Christian did.

We had leakage on a flat roof and it needed to be replaced. Now, just over two years we are having the whole roof replaced, including what House Doctors . Now, we haven't had any issues with their work, but all three roofers who came in to submit a bid on that house noted that the work House Doctors did was incorrect (they should have torn off the metal roof underneath, not just laid shingle on top). Basically we are paying to have that flat roof replaced twice in two years time. Again, while we haven't had a problem with their work, I wouldn't hire them again because I feel they took advantage of our situation and did "good enough" work.

A couple weeks ago, my husband noticed that plywood was missing near the bottom of our garage walls in five places. There were also holes where the sides of the garage meet the foundation. A few days later, I discovered a skunk in the garage. Putting two and two together, we realized that the skunk had been in the garage for a while and was anxiously trying to claw its way out. We managed to chase the skunk out (using garden tools). Then we called the House Doctors. They cemented up the holes and replaced the missing plywood and caulked. They did a nice job, and it's nice to have the garage repaired again.

Not much to say - I called, he estimated, he did the work. Very little involvement for me.

The company came out to check my basement and the problems I was having. I never received and estimate from the company. The problem was that of the employees asked to use the restroom which he just used ten minutes before. He waited until the nicer employee had left the job. The very second he left is when he asked to use the bathroom again. My purse was on the floor in the living room next to the couch. Shortly after he left I discovered that $200 was missing from my purse. Also the new cigarette case I just bought went missing. He also took some screw that were left on my table. I called the company and they haven't called back to give a helping hand. The only thing that was returned were the screws.

Everything exceeded my expectations. Showed up on time, got the job done, and it looks great! Glad I spent the money to have a professional install the locks for me. Will definitely be using The House Doctors more in the future.
