The House Doctors

The timing for us was a little tricky because we were trying to have the work performed and billed before the end of the year for tax purposes. Bob was very responsive to our request, and even with a little communication difficulty with Mike, we were able to get the work scheduled and performed in time. I unfortunately did not write down the carpenter's name, but he was right on time, was very professional with his work, and cleaned up after himself. He even suggested that we replace the stair facings for a cleaner end result, and said that it would not take any more time to do that since the careful demolition of the treads would take longer. He was right, and the result looks great! The estimated time was what it took for him to complete the job, so my estimate was the final cost. This was a very good experience for us, and we will be using The House Doctors again in the near future.

I wasn't home when they came. If I was, I wouldn't have had them just put more screws in the shutters.

The work was performed very professionally. They arrived when they said they would and finished quickly.The final cost was much lower than I expected.

He hired his own professional to perform the actual work, but he chose very wisely and the individual was very professional and skillful.

The House Doctors sent carpenter Jim Turo to my house to deal with some loud creaking sounds in the main floor. We spent a fair amount of time trying to locate noises by having me walk the floor while Jim listened from below. It turned out that the worst ones were in hard-to-reach places, but Jim managed to silence the very worst offender with a couple two-by-fours and screws and glue. He made heroic efforts to reach the next-worst but was able only to squirt glue into seams from a distance. In the end, we let the rest go in order to see how the work so far would hold up over the next few days. The area he secured with two-by-fours has been perfectly silent, so I consider that attempt to have been a success. The remaining spots are numerous but much less annoying, and we have tentatively decided to just live with them for a while.

I got them from Angie’s list. They have a variety of crafts people available. So if you need a carpenter or an electrician, they have them. Everyone is very competent. They were nice and kind. They did the job they were supposed to do and did it well. I would use them in the future.

I was given a time estimate of when they would be in the area. Came home one day and noticed the work had been completed. Some debris was left on the ground around the garage but everywhere else was clean. Invoice for services arrived a few days later.

It was a Big Deal that I purchased. It was $100 for several hours of work. They were able to complete the work in the allotted time. The price was fine for the work they did. I would use them again.

I called the House Doctors and was impressed by how quickly my call was returned. Appointment for estimate was made and House Doctor was very punctual; estimate forthcoming.

They were prompt, efficient and reasonably priced. They did a quality job. Note: job was completed last November 2010 and the gutter has held up very well in the past year, espcially since we had a lot of build up of ice and snow last winter. We would highly recommend them.

They were quick to call me back and accomodated me to get me on their schedule.

They did a good job of doing the repairs. I was still worried that water was pooling around the back of the house and they came back without any problems and added more dirt and filler. I was pleased with the result

They worked within my crazy schedule around the Thanksgiving holiday and family coming and going. They arrived as scheduled, completed the work in less time than I anticipated. I called afterwards about some minor clean up issues -- it was very, very windy when they were doing the rip off and install -- but came back promptly and took care of the clean up and were very, very apologetic. I will definitely call them again!

Based on the ratings in Angie's List, I called Bob to have my gutters cleaned. He gave me a price over the phone based on my description of the house. It was a little on the higher side, but given that he was taking the risk of giving me a firm quote sight unseen, I thought it was reasonable. His crew called to let me know when they were coming, just as he said they would, and they did the job as promised. I needed a minor repair on an upper-story gutter (reattaching a supporting piece) and they did that for me with no extra charge. I was very pleased with the service, and would absolutely use them again.

They did a quick and thorough job and charged a fair price. I liked that one of the employees rang the doorbell to show me the bucket of muck he had removed, per my request, from a clogged downspout. That gave me confidence that my request had been granted.

Bob responded to my e-mail the next day. He took the time to listen to my needs. One of his employees called me and arranged a time for an inspection. Bob called that night with an estimate. Since I could not find another person willing or able to do the work, I had no way of comparing the price. The work was done very professionally. I was especially pleased that the work was done before the winter cold and snow.

The workmen were very efficient, and they put drop cloths everywhere the work was being done. They moved furniture out of the way, and put it back when they were done, and they cleaned up afterwards 100%. The were in and out in one day, and did a very high quality job. The foreman followed up the next day to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction. Very good work, quick, clean, and professional.

They didn't call or show up in the time period specified (2 weeks) after the first call. A reminder call (3.5 weeks) made me think they had forgotten about me. I was beginning to think they had forgotten about me a second time when they called. In their defense we had a record year of rain, it was late in the year, and I'm sure they were trying to get caught up (finished) with projects before the snow came. It probably didn't help that mine was a very small job. When they did show up they did a great job at a cost less than quoted.

Job was never scheduled. Bob Vecchio or his son never called back to make an appointment for a estimate.

New service. Highly recommended, and did not disappoint. So far just 2 visits, and future looks bright. Punctual, professional, efficient, reliable......GOOD WORK!

Things went very well from my initial e-mail to follow up calls. Prompt response to my request,scheduled at a time that was convienient for our family. Bob was curtious and accomdiating. I appreciated that he called to confirm that he had the order exactly right.

As always, the work was done professionally and without problems. I am always pleased with The House Doctors' work.

Three men showed up (surprisingly) on the day after Thanksgiving, and only maybe three days after initially calling House Doctors. They were very courteous and professional, quickly getting to work to clean the gutters. They didn't leave a mess, and disposed of the gutter collection themselves. They even suggested ways to improve the gutter on my garage for better flow. A bill arrived in the mail a few days later. The cost was just a little more than I had expected (I believe I paid $110.00 for the same service the previous year), but not bad.

Job went well. Contact with company very timely and responsible, including necessary out of area contact. Workmanship appears solid. Definitely would recommend them and will use them again in the future.

Because it was a small job, the plumber came late in the evening. He was professional, knew exactly what to do and had the right parts. The new gasket was installed quickly and my dripping tub was ready for more use once again.
