Several companies, both roofing and mold remediation, came out to make recommendations for removing mold and increasing ventilation in our attic. Most companies did only one part--mold remediation companies would remove mold, after which the roofing companies would come in to do the ventilation, thereby necessitating hiring separate companies to get everything done. Estimates from each company varied considerably. We chose SteriTec, not only because they are extremely knowledgeable about all issues, but because they do all of the work--kind of like one-stop shopping. Everyone involved in the process, from initial inspection to the finished product, is highly qualified in their respective fields. Brandon inspected the attic and explained how the mold remediation process removes mold and prevents future growth. He also explained what was needed to improve ventilation. Mike and Brian did the mold remediation and they did a stellar job--not only does the wood look brand-new, there was absolutely nothing to clean up after they left. SteriTec's roofer, Dan, cut vents in the soffits and replaced the solid panels with perforated ones, and installed the power fan. He also returned on a cold, windy day to put custom-made edges over the smaller edges. He does excellent work. Dima, their electrician, hooked up the power fan and set the humidistat and thermostat. He's very knowledgeable and gave me good advice about electrical issues. Last but not least, Brandon came back to inspect the work and had Mike and Brian come back to move more insulation from the soffit vents to insure greater air flow. He also responded quickly to a few questions I had about the power fan. What really impressed me about this company besides the great work they do is that everyone who works with the company has known each other for years, and they all share the same work ethic. Everyone does their best to provide good service and deliver a good finished product-- in this case, resulting in a highly satisfied customer.

I have used them and the company is very good. Jim Roby is very knowledgeable in helping deal with problems in mold or fungal nature or anything that should not be part of the natural environment of your home. They stand by their reputation and they do very good work.

They guys at Steritech were wonderful. First, where others cam in and told me I needed a new roof, the Tech from Steritech said I did not and the wood was fine, just a removal. They came in when they said they would and did their work and now my attic looks brand new again. I also had a humidity fan installed and their electrician was very good.

I spoke with several contractors about their process for mold remediation and SteriTec was hands-down the most complete. The guys that performed the work were very professional and thorough. The lower level of my home, which used to be our family room prior to the flood in 2006, had become a basement and there was a lot of "stuff" down there. They were very careful with all of the items and painstakingly cleaned everything. Jim's responsiveness and overall customer service was excellent and really put me at ease.

They were pleasant and courteous and certainly knew their work. The job was done on time and on budget.

They were quick and efficient and cleaned up after themselves.

Everyone at SteriTec was FABULOUS! Jim was incredibly helpful when the buyers of our home had very specific questions and he incorporated their concerns in the quote. Brandon was very friendly and Anna was very prompt whenever I had a request for paperwork that we needed for the sale of the house. Their crew on the day of the work was efficient and polite. I would recommend them hands down!

I will NOT hire this company again for ANY type of work! The price for the roofing was slightly higher than the competition, but I selected them because I planned to hire them for remediation work as well, that I now REGRET! They completed the roof quickly, but after additional experience with this company, I question the quality of their work and the supervision of their "rehab" workers (their term) and work sites, in general. The ratings above apply ONLY to my experience related to the roofing job. They do NOT reflect my overall experience with this company (which is much worse).

Horrible. Jim expected me to pay him to give me an estimate. When I pushed him for a rough estimate, he came up with $15,000. He further described how his company was better than all others and that he pays his people very well because they're the best. He also said that I couldn't do any of the work myself because I needed an education in mold. He also said that he was going out of town and couldn't get to it for a while. I ended up using a different company and got it done the next week for $4000. The work came with a 5-year warranty.

OVERALL THEY DID A GOOD JOB. THEY WERE LATE ONCE, BUT OTHER THAN THAT THEY ARRIVED WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD.
