Description of Work: Earlier this year, I had my wedding band enlarged because my knuckles have become larger. You can't really tell that it was enlarged. He also cleaned it so that it was nice and shiny. I don't remember the exact date or price. The price was under $100.00.

Description of Work: Reset an expensive engagement ring and designed and made a matching wedding band. The work was first class, but like many things the price reflected it. I want to be clear that I did not feel that the cost was unfair, and if you want a very good quality custom jeweler I would recommend him.

 + -1 moreOriginally I went to Saxon's for a ring repair. The ring had been repaired twice before at another jeweler and I needed to find someone that would have a permanent solution. That was over a year ago and the ring is still in perfect condition. While I was there though and saw some of the fantastic work that Mike has done, I decided to bring in an old cocktail ring with multiple gemstones that wasn't something I ever wore to see what ideas he might have. He designed the most spectacular, unique bracelet with scalloped edges and incorporates all the gemstones. He was so easy to work with, would work around my schedule to meet with me and it was just such a pleasure to work with someone so creative that produced a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry that is timeless and can be treasured in the family for generations.

 + -1 moreI had a vision for an engagement ring that would be unique because of my vision and because of the career of my now fiance' and Michael helped me design the ring with stunning renderings to help me see what it would look like and then produced a ring using some of my own gold....provided stones for me to choose from .....and then created a ring that looked exactly like the renderings he had created from our vision. The process and results were fantastic and my fiance's reaction to the ring tells the whole tale.....she loves it. Thanks Michael for your attention to detail and for walking me through the process. I would recommend Michael to anybody looking for custom jewelry or even jewelery modification or check out his showroom.

Description of Work: Repaired a platinum ring by laser welding additional platinum around the thinned edges and replaced a lost diamond from a double channel wedding band. It looks great and his level of knowledge about potential pitfalls working with platinum was reassuring. The diamond he replaced is indistinguishable from the remaining original diamonds. I felt very confident in his services when I left my ring for repair and was very happy with the results when I picked it up! His showroom is a bit off the beaten path but I think his level of skill made it worth the effort. He was also able to work with my irregular schedule to allow me to meet with him where I hadn't been able to get to other jeweler in a timely fashion. Price was a bit high, but seemed reasonable given the materials and labor required for this job.

Description of Work: My husband and I celebrated out 10th wedding anniversary in September. He bought me another "love letter" to go in my gold envelope.This is how my husband proposed to me 11 years ago. These letters are custom made...Mike gives you a form that will allow so many characters on the gold letter.(on both sides) he will inscribe(on the gold letter) whatever message you put on the form. The gold envelopes hold several gold "love letters". You will not see this anywhere else. He has a patent on this! Very nice gift!

 + -1 moreI called Michael Saxon to schedule an appointment for resizing a gold ring that was to large on August 13th. Michael looked at the ring and mentioned that he will be able to complete the work in 2 days. He completed the work in one day and it exceeded my expectations. On the day of August 13th, he cleaned my wedding rings and tighten up the stones on the ring. I used the Angie's list coupon for this service and the ring looked brand new. My experience with Saxon was very positive and I will use them again.

 + -1 morehe is a very fine artist. has some very good suggestions. explains everything and is willing to show you the diamonds under the machine that enlarges them. ( not sure if that is called a microscope! ) we were very pleased with everything. even the timeline. i believe he is a very honest person. he showed us a flaw on a diamond that my husband had purchased approx. 20 years ago ( by another jeweler) . my husband was told back then that this was a very good diamond and paid alot of money for it. so you have to be careful who you pick as a jeweler! mu husband and i HIGHLY recommend saxton jewelers!
Description of Work: we purchased a half caret diamond to go in a platinum ring that had a cz in it. he resized that ring which was too small and cleaned and polished. he also resized another wedding band that i had that was too small. we had some old rings with smaller diamonds that we did't want anymore and he suggested that we use them in the wedding band. It was a great idea! he added some addiitonal gold and set eight new diamonds accross the band. also cleaned and polished that ring. both rings look amazing! he does very nice work! we went to saxon jewelers because eleven years ago my husband went to him to purchase one of his gold letters with the envelope on a chain.( i believe he has a patent on these gold letters.) that is how my husband proposed to me was with the gold letter! i have worn it everyday since. it is something very unusual and something you don't see around. a couple of years ago he also fixed a ring my parents bought for me in 1968. i also wear this ring every day.

This recent work was again, done perfectly and in a very short time, one only has to visit the shop to see his craftsmanship. Also, the prices are quite reasonable for the high quality work.
Description of Work: This is my second visit to Saxon Jewelers, some years ago he designed two rings for me, 1) a Tanzanite and 2) 3 Diamonds. This time I took a ring for repair (not purchased at Saxons), that another jeweler couldn't fix. Mr. Saxon, repaired the ring, secured the stone and repaired another to secure the three diamonds.
