Roth Construction & Cleaning

Started out ok, but very slow to get things going. Then company was sold and things really went down the tubes. Most of key employees left. They damaged a couple of things during the move-in phase and, 2 1/2 months later still haven't done anything about it. The people who did the construction work all very nice and helpful, though they left cigarette butts on the ground. The people who handled the contents cleaned most things well, but others came back sooty. They cleaned and returned some items that the previously told me could never be used again, like plastic food storage containers.

Horribly! Roth Constrution crew disrespected me, and my home by leaving feces in, on and around both of my toilets. They left the toilets running, which of course affected my water bill. They damaged the frame of my garage with their dumpster, used my microwave, leaving it a nasty mess. They plugged in a huge generator into my outlet, causing it to surge, and last, but certainly not least, they left my doors unlocked.

Demo work was started days before obtaining a permit, workers were issued no protective gear, sub contractor refused to pay overtime and has yet to pay some workers 2 months later.

They worked smoothly and took their time, even working past 7pm to finish the job. Very satisfied.

The company came and gave us a reasonable estimate that we accepted. We signed their contract and then when the team came out to do the work they tried to bump the contract up by another $5,000. dollars. Completely sleazy and unprofessional! Use this company at your own risk!

They are the most wonderful people we ever had work in our home. They were wonderfully compassionate and always on time. They are so helpful. They really go above and beyond. They always get 100% of everything out. They are so considerate of our allergies and they bring a fragrance free and eco-friendly formula. If there is an emergency, they have a 24 hour line to call at any time. I cannot say enough about them.

Everything that they did was perfect and on time. I would recommend them to anyone. They were Awesome!

A well run operation. Estimator was prompt and responsive. Project manager was on site a number of times checking completion work and quality. Excellent quality for the work performed. Work was fast and timely once they started.

I have mixed feelings about them. They really work two different companies. There is a construction company and there's another, if you have a flood, water reclamation or something. Anyway, what I had was a real, real problem with Lowe's and they sent so many incompetent people out to install a washing machine and I ended up with a flood all over the house, the kitchen, the laundry room, basement and everything else. I had a real good experience with the reclamation people. I am waiting to see what happens but I had a rather bad experience with the people that are supposed to do the second part, which is to repair all the stuff they ripped out and so on and so forth. It took them a week to get somebody out to make it, they are supposed to do an estimate for insurance purposes and then I had a call and ask them to do it and finally they did out. They came out but it's another week and I haven't received the estimate. I called once. So I would say when it comes to their ability to follow through they are not real good. That's a long story but that's what I've got to say.

The initial contact went well and the secretary collected a long list of info due to the insurance claim. They appear to have lots of experience working with AllState. An appointment was schedule for the estimate and the person arrived on time. The estimator was nice and professional. After they were through measuring for the estimate, things just fell apart. A week or more went by and no estimate was delivered. I contact Roth and spoke to the secretary. She said they sent it and I confirmed it never arrived. I asked what the total was, but she would not tell me. I had to speak to the estimator, who was out on business. Another two days went by. Finally the estimator emailed me the complete estimate. Contrary to my initial request, the work was not separated into two estimates (one for insurance work, one for other). I asked for it to be separated. They refused because their system couldn't handle it. Finally, out of frustration, I asked them politely to remove the non-insurance work. I was prepared to move forward immediately, but they stopped responding. At least tell me the job is too small. Just walking away is so inappropriate. I run a small business too and I don't treat people that way when I am booked.

Everything went better than expected

Roth Construction's quote was fairly close to the estimate my insurance agency had. They were very professional. They were pretty prompt. Due to the damage everyone was pretty swamped. I had companies who wouldn't even come and give an estimate. He showed up right on time. They were here when they said they would be.

I called Roth to provide an estimate for fire damage. Out of the three estimates I received, Roth was the lowest and appeared to provide the most services for the repair. Unfortunately, once the estimates were submitted to the insurance company, another company had a lower adjusted estimate. The insurance company based the payment on the lowest adjusted estimate and Roth indicated that they could not do the work for the amount issued.

Very well. They did a very fine job in all aspects. Whole process was very professional and efficient. Very personable guys also.

Being a condo Board member I was deeply involved in every aspect of the entire rebuilding process. Bob Rothacker is very professional and a joy to work with. He worked days, evenings and weekends to make sure all unit owners were taken care of and their homes repaired as quickly and professionally possible. Bob also worked closely with the city and our insurance company (Travelers) allowing for no problems with the handling of the rebuilding and claim. Roth employees are also very talented, kind and professional people. Dealing with persons who have suffered a major trauma is not easy but they took the time to kindly handle all residents concerns and requests whether they were realistic or not. We wouldn't hesitate to work with Roth Construction again and highly recommend them to others.

This company was recommended by our insurance. They were not aware that the company would "forget" to schedule our work until we said we needed to get a different contractor. So after 7 weeks, we were scheduled. Then the 4-day job stretched to three weeks. They hadn't ordered enough tile to complete the job and had to wait for it. I'm not sure if ordering the tile took that long or rescheduling the tile man was the reason for the long delay. The work itself was wonderful. The new shower pan drained better than the old one and the new tile of floors and wall looked great.

I was very pleased with their work. I was out of my home while the work was being done and they installed a lock box in order to do all their work. They were very professional, responsive, and even told me about mold issues in my basement to look out for. I would definitely use them again.

Besides taking longer than they told me it would take it went well. The painting looks way better than the painting I did in my kitchen, and the workers were professional.

They were great. They did a great job. I had had some water damage. I spent $6000 on the work. They showed up on time everyday. They did their work and cleaned up after themselves. There were minimal problems with them. They did a beautiful job. They had an excellent painter. I can’t comment on their price because the insurance paid for the work. I had no complaints with this company and I will use them again in the future.

They have been FANTASTIC. Everyone here is raving about how wonderful they are. They are professional in their work and their manner. They worked very hard and their employees are wonderful to deal with. They keep you informed every step of the way.

BEST CONTRACTOR I'VE EVER DEALT WITH

THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL, THE RESPONCE TO MESSAGES WAS SLOW BUT WORK WAS GOOD

EVEN THOUGH THIS WAS A SMALL JOB, THEY BENT OVER BACKWARDS TO SATISFY US, WORKED TO MATCH COLORS, CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES WORKERS AND OFFICE STAFF EXTREMELY HELPFUL

ROTH DIDN'T LIKE THE QUALITY OF THE WOOD THEY RECEIVED SO IT WAS SENT BACK AND IT DELAYED THE WORK BUT THAT WAS FINE WITH THE MEMBER. VERY PLEASANT AND CLEAN. WONDERFUL.
