ROLEN BROTHERS FENCE CO INC

I selected Rolen Brothers fence company from the list of installers on Angie's list. On 04/01/13 I called Rolen Bros. for an estimate. I wanted to enclose the yard to keep a small dog in by placing a short section of chain link fence with a gate to connect to a chain link fence on one side of the house and a short section of wooden fence on the other side of the house to connect to a wooden fence. A representative promptly returned my call and we made an appointment for him to come to the house to make an estimate on 4/13/13. Mr. Bill arrived at the agreed time. He was courteous, pleasant, very experienced, and knowledgeable. He sent me an itemized estimate of the work required. I called and commissioned the job. Roland Bros. ordered the fence needed, obtained the required permits, and had the utilities marked (one of the fence posts was close to buried electrical and TV cables). They called me when the parts were available and we set up 05/17/13 as the day to start the installation. They said I need to be present to approve placement of the fence - which was a good idea. On 05/17/13 Patrick and Jeff arrived at the agreed time to begin the installation. Both Pat and Jeff were highly experienced, skilled, and knowledgeable installers and were very pleasant to work with. They did an excellent job of laying out the fences and setting the posts. The city inspector came and quickly approved their work. They set the posts in concrete and said they would come back when the concrete was cured to install the fences. It wasn't required for me to be present for the fence installation. They returned on 05/21/13 and completed the fences. I was very happy with the result. I have had fences installed before and this was by far the best installation I have seen. I have no complaints at all. I would highly recommend them.

It took them over a week to get me a quote for a fence repair. Repair cost quoted was OK. But, they would not start the work without a check and they would not fax me the quote. It waited 2 weeks. Called several time and did not get a quote.

Rolen Bros Fence Co. was punctual, effecient, and cost-effective. They were quick to install my chain link fence and it looks great. I got six estimates and they were the most reasonable. They cleaned up and did not leave a mess. I will definitely use them again for the second half of my fencing project.

I had positive interactions with everyone from the receptionist, to the salesman, to the men who did the actual repair. The guys who came to do the repair work even picked up my paper and placed it on my porch for me. I would use them again (although I hope I don't have to!).

I went to another company, just because that company did all they could to come down on price, they even called the manufacture to come down the price to match them and they spend 3 hours with me. I have to chose them. But ROLEN BROTHER FENCE CO.,INC IS REALY GOOD COMPANY TO DO BUSINESS WITH.

We only got an estimate through Rolen Brothers as another company was a few hundred dollars cheaper. They did all they could to come down on price, but in the end we went with the other company. The individual who came out for the estimate was precise and excellent overall. While we didn't go with them in the end, I would encourage anyone to consider Rolen Brothers for an estimate for any work that they need done.

They pricing was very reasonable. I obtained a couple quotes and they were the most reasonable . The service was good and the workers were very knowledgable. They completed the work by the time they told me they would have it done. I also appreciated there follow up.

The men arrived on time on a Friday morning and began removing the chain link fence. This section of fence went as expected and took the crew of two workers about 5 hours to complete. They checked with my husband a few times to make sure they were installing it the way he wanted it done. (There was a question about whether he wanted the fence to be level or follow the contour of the ground. We chose to have it follow the ground's contour.) They then proceeded to dig the holes to install the privacy fence. One of the holes was complicated by tree roots from a tree that used to be in the corner of the yard. They worked on the hole for a long while and decided that they needed to leave for the day and come back in the morning with the chain saw to be able to finish digging the hole. They arrived the next morning on time completed the hole, and finished the fence. They did a great job cleaning up after themselves. The fences look great and we are very happy with the job.

Mark Walker was on time for the appointment. He listened to all my concerns about how I needed the gate to be installed.He made suggestions that met my needs perfectly. On Tuesday Patrick and Dan came and put the post in. They came back today, July 6th, and installed the gate. They made sure that the latch was put in so that I would not have any problem making sure it was out of the way when I back out of my driveway. I am very pleased with Rolen Bros. and would call them again.

The gentleman who came out to measure for the estimate arrived on time and was very knowledgable. Due to a change in their schedule, they were able to install the fence sooner than what they planned, which worked out very well for us. They did a wonderful job. They removed the old fencing and hauled away all of the debris, including some limbs from a tree that my husband had trimmed in preparation for the fence installation. We have a board-on-board fence on the other side of our yard, and are planning to have that replaced within the next year or so. I'll be calling Rolen Brothers -- I don't feel the need to go anywhere else.

They have good customer service. They are good installers. They knew what I wanted and they listened to any concerns that I had. They came out, got the job done. No delay in the process.

This company was able to build the exact type and size of gate I needed. We worked up an estimate and the work was done to my full satisfaction within 2 weeks. The price for everything was extremely reasonable. They were able to repair a section of the chain link fence that was damaged and bent by falling tree limbs. They even helped my our my installing the split rail posts I purchased myself and they also dug the hole required for installation of a flag pole we purchased.

Rolen Bros came out to install the fence a couple days after putting posts in the ground. Each time we were notified in advance so we could make arrangements to meet them. I met Jason and Matt (I hope I remembered the names correctly) when they came the morning to install the new fence. They were professional all the way around. My only advice to homeowners would be to make sure you understand EXACTLY what kind of fence you're getting. I had several estimates from different companies, and had to wait a few months for an insurance payment, and so I don't exactly recall our initial conversation with Rolen Bros. But we went from a complete privacy fence to a fence that was partially see-through, depending on the angle. I wasn't around while the fence went up, so I didn't see the result until they had finished the job. When I was disappointed that fence wasn't completely private, we called Rolen Bros. Jonelle (sp?) was very accommodating and offered a couple solutions. In the end, we and our neighbor decided that we liked the look of the new fence after all. Jason and Matt did a fantastic job and I would recommend their work to anyone.

They were very responsive. I received the estimate, which was lower than other bids I obtained, and they were able to do the work a few days after they provided the estimate. Repairs look great. I would use them again for other fencing needs.

We used Rolen Brothers in 2009 and they were excellent. HOWEVER, our 2010 experience was one of the most frustrating experiences we have ever had with a service provider. Their problems all began with the employee who came out to measure and give us an estimate. He was very pleasant and seemed like he knew what he was doing. Since we had used the company one year before and things had gone well, we never dreamed that his estimate and job layout didn't work with the front office and installation crew that was performing the work. Problems: -I had to request see the permit five or six times (which leads me to believe they never would have gone to get one if I hadn't complained). -A normal fence installation takes one day for setting posts, you wait about three days, and then the crew comes to build/install the fence which takes another day or two tops. The installers were pleasant, but there were constant excuses as to why they couldn't work a full day on our job. The job stretched out over weeks instead of days and we were constantly on the phone trying to get problems resolved. We couldn't even believe this was the same company we had used before. -The installers came out to set the posts and worked so slowly and took so many breaks that they couldn't get all the posts set the first day (there were approximately 10-12 posts). -The installers showed up another day and told me they couldn't install a section of the fence on the diagram because my neighbor's chain link fence was in the way. They said they'd have to go back to the shop, build the fence in sections, and then charge us $200 extra for brackets to secure it to their posts. When I asked why the guy who estimated the job didn't recognize the chain link fence problem when he came out, they just scratched their heads and said I would have to call Jonell (owner). -Another day or two was wasted because they had to remove one of the cemented posts that was supposed to enable the fence to wrap around an existing mature tree that we didn't want to disturb. Apparently, the estimator who originally worked on the layout once again didn't understand the installation process when it came to structuring around a mature tree. At this point the installers were frustrated/angry and spent so much time complaining and talking on their cell phones that it was ridiculous. -At last they installed the boards and we thought this nightmare was coming to an end. However, we came home from work to find that they had installed the wrong number of boards per section, and so they had to tear down the fence board by board and start over again!!! We wanted to cry. The final outcome is that the fence looks good and we received the product we asked for. In addition, Jonell was pleasant throughout the process. However, all the problems we experienced could have been avoided if the owner had come out to the house and supervised the crew herself. As customers we shouldn't have to supervise the workers and waste time calling to have the problems resolved remotely.

They came out because I found a few loose boards. They put these back in place and installed new boards on the old fence posts. I would use them again if needed.

I needed a privacy fence around the vacant lot we had just purchased next to our house, and the very old and battered chain link fence that was there removed. They came out and gave me a professional estimate that spelled out what they would do exactly, and I also needed the job completed before the end of the month. They even came out two evenings and saturday to be sure that happened, and did everything as they contracted to do. The fence is gorgeous, and they cut the six foot section that goes next to the gate so it slants right in to the four foot gate across the drive. This gate has the same look of the fence, but is on steel supports. All in all a wonderful job and great company.

They charge $30 just to have someone to come out. You have to use their fencing product to waive that fee. We opted to go with another company.

Yesterday when opening my driveway gate, two of the corner brackets cracked. I had to wait until today to call. They came within an hour of when I called and finished in about half an hour. Doran explained he could repair the gate w/o removing it. He was prepared for more extensive repairs had they been necessary. Thankfully that was not needed. He gave a few pointers to avoid any future problems with opening and closing . The charge for the repair seemed a bit high; yet considering the weather and how promptly the matter was handled, I was quite aitisfied and will continue to use and recommend them. They originally installed the gate.

I'm very happy with my finished fence. The employees were polite, professional, clean and extremely hard workers. My gates just needed some adjusting after 3 months and they came out and took care it, no problem.

Had trouble communicating what I wanted done since I work an hour from my house. The work was good but I had to be insistent on several points of the work performed when I thought it would be done as regular practice.

I was pleased with them. I received estimates that were lower than them but I could not trust the other companies. The fence was very expensive but the workmanship on it was excellent. There was a dip in the back yard but they leveled it. They took their time for leveling it. It now adds a lot to the house. Though it was expensive I don?t regret it as it?s a beautiful fence and they did a beautiful work on it. They showed up when they should and they were very professional. I have no complaints about them. I have in fact received many compliments for it.

The man who came to give the estimate was on time and very knowledgeable. He showed us samples and told us exactly how the process would work. Jonell called me back when I had questions and kept me posted about the time frame for the permit and installation. The installers were very professional and even hauled away two rotten sections of the old fence. They set the posts and came back three days later as promised and put up a perfectly straight and balanced beautiful fence.

I called two companies Rolen Brothers and House Doctors. House Doctors called me but never showed up for a estimate. So I went with Rolen Brothers. James Rolen, came out on March 6,2009 and gave me an estimate. I wanted a total of 128 feet of fencing costing me $2200.00 plus 125.00 for the permit but that was a little out of my price range. So I went with just the 40 feet across the back line costing me $800.00 plus $125.00 for the permit. On March 9, 2009 they set the poles and I asked for a copy of the permit. The permit from City Hall cost $66.00 so I called the office and ask why they charge $125.00 for the permit and Jonell explained to me the time it take to pull the permit time to park and wait at City Hall I was okay with that because I know all about the wait at Cleveland City Hall.On March 17th they laid the panels and now I have a beautiful fence.
