Rob was excellent to work with. He arrived early, worked efficiently and charged a very fair price for a lot of work accomplished in a few hours! As a first time home owner, I had a lot of questions about my 100 year-old home, and Rob explained everything to me and made sure I was comfortable with everything before he left. Looking forward to working with Rob again!

They did OK except for two big problems: 1) The old outlet cover in the living room had two outlets. The cover they installed had just one outlet. That means I cannot plug in my TV and room air conditioner at the same time. They did not tell me beforehand they were going to replace the outlet cover with a different type of outlet cover. Also, since they repaired the light switch in the kitchen, the outdoor motion-detector security light does not work. I called Rob three times -- three days in a row -- about these problems. That was on May 22, May 23 and May 24. He has not returned my calls.

I should up at scheduled time for estimate, emailed the customer that evening with estimate. A few days later the job was excepted by customer and scheduled. The day before are scheduled date I had a few hours in the afternoon and I called to see if we could get job done early customer could not make it and wished to keep original time and date which we honored. Showed up on time to do the work with two journey men electricians job took less than an hour. We replaced a burnt up outlet in living room with the correct rated outlet for the purpose it is serving. I then disconnected a switch that shorts the breaker when turned on,customer did not use the switch and there was tape over it. I had my employee check a flood light fixture on side of house to make sure that switch did not controll it, we tested it and the motion light did turn on in the test postion. We then cleaned up, honored are quoted price and offered to walk customer threw the job to see what we had done. The customer replied we are good and did not walk threw the house to see the work that was done. I then get phone calls from customer about a flood light not working and wanting a double outlet for a TV. If the customer took my advice and allowed me to walk him threw the job he would have seen that the flood light worked and that the outlet was a single outlet rated for the purpose that it is being used for ( window AC unit) if there was any problems it could have delt with right then and there. Now this customer wants me to come back on my time and gas to fix these issues. Let me remind you of these issues its any outlet that works and a old motion light that we did not work on but just tested to make sure a switch that I disconnected did not controll it. I am not wasting my dime when the customer was just to lazy to do a three minute walk threw. Lets look at my grades; Price C it was quoted and the customer excepted it and we charged the exact price on the quote so I dont know how you get a C on that sorry people work does cost money. Quailty C installed the correct rated items for which they are being used. So again why a C grade. Punctuality only a B should up on time for estimate, tried to get job done a day early, then showed up at scheduled time and date to do work. It would be nice to grade this customer. Lets educate are customers this job could have been done for half the price if the customer just called up and set a service call, this was not an addition on the house or a panel upgrade it was an hours worth of work not something you get estimated let alone get two estimates like this custome did. Honestly if the customer would have just walked with me the would have addressed any issues at that time. I would still love to know how some one is going to plug in a TV from an outlet that is behind the couch. People wonder why they can not get trades out to do small jobs this is a perfect example why this job was a $220 job that left a bad report on my company yet we do 8000, 10000, and 15000.00 dollar large jobs and customers rave about my company.

3We lost power to approximately 1/3 of our 80 yr old home on a Monday morning. We checked on Angies list and then called RGD Electric because he had a high rating and was located close to our home. Rob came out by the end of the day and checked out the problem. He then quoted us a price per hour and set a date to come back the following Friday at 8 AM. On Friday, we waited but Rob did not show up. We called after an hour, but got no response. We have tried to contact RGD Electric at his cell phone and his office phone plus have left e-mail messages. We have gotten absolutely no response. Meanwhile, we were left with a house that had no electricity in 1/3 of the area. We called another electrician who came late that day and tracked down the problem. He was unable to come until the following Thursday, but has solved our problem. RGD Electric extended the time we were without electric power by another 6 days because he did not honor his word to come at the day and time he told us.
Description of Work: Rob came to the house and looked for our problem. He set a date to return the following Friday at 8:00 am to repair the problem and quoted us a price /hour at that time.

Mr. Dedrick and his crew were very neat and professional. He knew just what had to be done, explained what they would be doing, and let us know what would be helpful in getting the job done most efficiently. The under cabinet lights, and pendants look and work as expected. And, the sconce lighting at the fireplace really looks good. Except for the required access holes (closed after used), which will be covered with tile, we could hardly tell they had been in the house. They cleaned up the areas where they were working. Very positive professional individual. We will certainly recommend this company to our friends needing any type of home electrical work done.

I'm very happy with the service. Rob arrived promptly at 8am as we agreed on. He had already warned me that I would be without power for roughly 6 hours and that he would be tearing up the wall where my main fuse box was (and that we would not repair the wall). He also provided other information such as things in my refrigerator should be fine as long as the refrigerator wasn't opened too often. I had a few work meetings via cell phone during the beginning of the upgrade, but then I left for the office for several hours. When I returned, Rob was nearly finished. There was minimal damage to my wall and he thoroughly tested everything before leaving. I have already recommended him to a colleague.

Rob was very professional from start to finish. He returned my call the same day I called him and set an appt to inspect the current situation the following day. He was on time for the appt and came up with some good suggestions to fix the problem. He faxed me an estimate that evening and scheduled the work for the same week. Even though the Cleveland area had experienced some heavy snowfall that evening, he arrived on time with an assistant and finished the work as expected.
Description of Work: Added a sub-panel from the basement to the first floor common area so that second floor tenant would have access to reset breakers if needed. Two existing hallway lights removed from the first floor tenant's panel to the rear efficiency's panel. Added GFI outlet to existing laundry circuit and then put this onto its own breaker.

From start to finish Rob was very professional and it was a very pleasant experience having him work for us. He explained things to us and what to watch out for.
Description of Work: Rob replaced the light in my mothers basement and then came to my home to fix the outside electrical wiring. The light in the basement was fixed by a handyman and he let us know it was a temp fix. Well right before Thanksgiving it gave out. Rob came out, inspected it, replaced it and was on his way to my home within half hour. He inspected the outside wiring at my home and put new tape on the wires as that is all it needed.

I contacted Robert to obtain an estimate. We played phone tag, but finally scheduled an appointment to go over the work that I wanted done. We scheduled the appointment for the next business day following Memorial Day. Unfortunately, he never showed or called to request a change in time. After the missed appointment, I left Robert serveral voicemails without a response. When I was finally able to reach Robert, two months later, his response was that he thought I hired another electrician for the job (I am not sure where he got that information from). He also informed me that he was 30 days out to any new work, "so i should find someone else." Very unprofessional.

They haven’t yet done the work. The filter isn’t working since there is a short in the line from the house to the pool filter. They were very great from the minute I called them. They were very responsive in coming out. They took their time at looking into the problem so that they would be able to tell me exactly what was going to be necessary. They gave me a couple of different options as to how we could solve the problem and even offered some ways wherein we could save money. They have to dig a trench for the wire to go through and it would be cheaper for me to have someone else dig the trench or do it myself rather than to pay them to do it. So the electrician was very conscious about the constraints and being able to fit into our budget. He was very prompt about getting a written estimate to me and making phone calls to make sure that I got it. I wanted to go ahead with the work, but I was sick right after he had come. So I hadn’t been able to get the necessary stuff and I told him that it was on hold. So he was fine with that and asked me to let him know when I was ready. He was very conscious about safety issues with my kids here while doing the electrical work. He was nice with my dog and I was very pleased with him. I would use his services in the future too.

I was very satisfied with their service. They worked quickly and got done what I wanted done. They gave me a quote on some work which I haven't decided whether I am going to do or not. The guy got his ladder out and I ran out and bought bulbs from a nearby store because it would be cheaper than the ones that he had. He was a nice guy. He was there for an hour or an hour and a half. The price was reasonable. Part of it was my own fault because I didn't realize that part of the original problem was that the ground fault indicator had popped. I hadn't even noticed that and I had gone through my whole circuit breaker board. I couldn't find what had popped and just as he arrived I looked down and saw that the ground fault was out. Part of the expense was my fault. I thought he was reasonable with what he did. His responsiveness was very good. The owner called me back two or three times on my cell phone, the final time to say that the guy could be there an hour and a half earlier than he originally said and if that was alright. There was no problem at all on their punctuality. I asked about doing some possible future work and he said that he would check it by the boss and get me an estimate. I had an email estimate within an hour and a half. I would use them for that work if I decide to get it done. If I have any other electrical work, I know who to call.
Description of Work: RGD Electric replaced a couple of outdoor receptacles that had been having problems. The guy put some gutter waterproof covers on the receptacles and he did some rewiring of a hanging fan which had wires sticking out. He got up on a ladder and checked out some spot lights that were put too high for me to reach and were all burned out.

It makes me feel that they just arrived at that total to match the estimate, rather than show each line item. It would be nice to know exactly what I paid for. It just seems odd, as the final bill rarely matches the original estimate. It just left me feeling a little cold about this company. I'm sure the work was fine, I haven't had any issues with it, I just want to know each item that I paid for. I would prefer to answer "Maybe" on would you use this company again because I have nohting to compare this price to. I don't know that they were high, it just feels high to me.
Description of Work: They put a GFCI outlet underneath a new walk-in tub I just had installed. Their initial bid was high; I thought. They estimated 10 hours to do the work. They were very neat and very polite. They wore booties on their shoes, which I appreciate, so they wouldn’t track anything on my carpeting. I did not like the fact that the final bill is not itemized. It just lists labor and material. I always ask if there is a discount for cash and they did give me one.
