Quality Irrigation

I knew ahead of time that there were problems with some of the circuits of my irrigation system so I requested that I be present when the workers arrived. The scheduler prvided me with a 10 AM - 12 PM window. I also asked that the workers call me when they finished their previous appointment so that I could be sure not to waste their time (again the scheduler indicated this would be no problem). Well my wife called me when they arrived at 12:15 (15 minutes past the window provided). When I arrived they indicated they were never told to contact me prior to arrival, nor that I wanted to be present. They indicated to me that one of the problems with the system was that one circuit would not turn on. I asked them if they had made sure that the valve was not manually closed- they were not aware that the valve could be manually closed. Once I showed them how to open the valve, they did so and the system worked. I'm glad I read up on the system before they arrived. They then told me that my system did not need to be adjsuted because all of the heads were apraying correctly. When I pointed out that several of them were oversraying onto the driveway they did agree to adjust the heads. I'm not quite sure what I was getting for my money? To their credit they said that since they did little work, that they wouldn't charge me. They weren't aware that I had prepaid through Angie's list. Finally they suggested that I replace my controller. I was going to pursue that until I found that the price was going to be at least 4x what I would pay for a unit on the internet. Finally they indicated that they thought that one of my valves was wearing out, but then said that they did not ususually service valves of the tyoe that I have. In fact they said they thought my valves were no longer sold. After they left I order two identiacl replacement valves online. In summary I think they were not fully versed in different systems and so would not likely use them unless I had no other choice and also only if I were present during the work.

They never returned my call.

I had them winterize my system last 2 years and turned on this year again. Took 2 weeks to finally have them come out but I understand they are very busy in this peak season. Though the performance was lack luster, I am always of the idea of giving a 2nd and a 3rd chance. Needless to say, this company has used up their chances. Chuck, the head honcho and captain of the ship is excellent and is extremely efficient. His hands and mind are well coordinated to get the job done with quality. However, the workers are very inexperienced. If Chuck is not around, I would not let them touch your system. Tell them to go home and come back with Chuck. Our last experience was a blow up of my irrigation system because it wasn't properly winterized. IT BLEW UP TWICE. Honestly, I can't say if the first time was entirely their fault. Plus, we are all humans and do make mistakes. There was a charge for the initial blown system but the 2nd time was gracefully honored by the company. I requested that I wanted Chuck to be present for the final repairs. One worker in particular had his head/mind in other places, and didn't care one bit about the job, respecting the home, or even the company QUALITY IRRIGATION. I got a soft call from a person at the monitoring security system of rowdy behavior outside the house. Apparently, I had forgotten to tell them workers were coming to the home. The security surveillance cameras equipped with audio had one worker saying, "F_ _ _ these flowers. We should uproot this s_ _ _ out" A bit of misfortune, but a stroke of luck occured because my landscaper inadvertedly ran over 2 heads that didn't pop back in the ground. Not wanting this irrigation company back to my home, I called another company. They replaced the broken heads. Like night and day, the experienced workers went through the entire system and adjusted all the heads (not sure if this was part of the dewinterization deal with QUALITY IRRIGATION), raised one, and found separate busted lines welling up with flowing water. On further investigation, these were longitudinal cracks in the system straight up the sprinkler showing that they were probably not dewinterized properly. Surprisingly, this was also missed. I have never been so happy for my misfortune, as it made me discover another company with workers of great experience that can come to my home without me breathing over their necks or being alerted while at work.

EVERYTHING WENT FINE. THE TECHNICIANS WERE PROMPT AND COMPETENT AND FOLLOWED THROUGH WITH WHAT I WANTED TO BE DONE.

Chuck was great to work with. Very straight forward and professional.

They were very good. I was happy with the service.

They were very responsive the first time I called, and they came out very quickly. This last time, they were actually in the area and it was just very convenient. They called me and came out like that day. Their pricing is fair.

It's fine and the work was good. They did a wonderful irrigation.

Chuck is great - he is very fair, upfront, and knowledgeable about sprinkler systems. He fixed our system earlier in the season and then maintained and winterized it. His prices are very fair.

Chuck and his crew were very efficient in finding and fixing problems with several kinds of heads and a major junction break.

It was fine. They did the job and it was a good price.

We received only one call from the office staff. Based on the questions I asked, the staff indicated they would have the owner call me tho he had some meetings to attend. I said that we'd like the estimate as soon as possible so that we could decide on provider and have the work done soon since several of the zones were not working this year. To date, I have received no subsequent call, and have since contracted with another service provider to do the work. I do understand that summer is the prime season for having irrigation work done. I do not understand the lack of responsiveness.

They adjusted the sprinkler heads quickly and replaced a valve. They also fixed a leak coming out of the valve and did not charge me for that. Not sure about exact time and cost

Basically it worked out okay. I did have an extra bill for replacing a lot of sprinkler heads but that could be as snow plows may have destroyed some of them. The guys that came out did a good job.

No problem. The owner was very knowledgeable.

He was pleasant. He showed up on time.

Called Quality Irrigation to have repair done and winterization of system. Came out quickly to repair the system and later to do the winterization. Repair was $175, winterization was $75.

My experience is that Quality Irrigation were prompt, professional, and provided excellent value. I have had difficulty finding reliable services for my irrigation. I needed someone to winterize my sprinklers and soakers. I had difficulty with my previous irrigation provider so I consulted Angie's list. I sent an email to Quality. The email was answered quickly. A follow up appointment was made via email. I had some scheduling conflicts on my end, so I had to ask them to change the appointment a couple of times. They came did their work. To be fair, I have had only this one experience so I this is an event, not a trend, but I must say best first engagement with a landscape/irrigation service I have experienced. I will use them again next season.

Everything was done very efficiently and professionall. I was very satisfied. Of course I won't know until spring if there are any problems with freezing of sprinkler heads.

I waited to hear from them for a couple weeks. I then called and Angie's list cancelled it.

The service used Rapid Connect. I got email withing few hours from Chuck with instructions. After I turned the water off and emailed Chuck back, his people came withing 2 days and winterized my sprinkler system. I loved the efficiency and would use Quality Irrigation again.

After paying for a Big Deal, I received an email from the owner instructing me to turn off our water shutoff valve. I responded by asking them to call us to schedule a time to come out because I didn't know where the water shutoff valve was. They showed up unannounced at my home without calling for an appointment. They performed their work, but left without communicating that the work was completed. I contacted the owner after this issue. He apologized, told me that his employees would not have left unless the work was done correctly, then and offered to repeat the winterization at no charge. Owner seems responsive, but poor communication created concerns.

They called to confirm the appointment, and indicated it was OK that I was not there. All I needed to do was make sure I shut off the water to the sprinkler system. Everything went as planned.
