PETITTI GARDEN CTR

Wanted to buy some new shrubs at a place where I could get reliable, experienced advice/recommendations. Went to Petitti's Garden Center by the Sears Automotive building in the 130th & Pearl (Southland) shopping center. After browsing a bit, I approached an employee and explained I was looking for some shrubs that would not get too overly tall, that would do well in a mostly shaded area that only gets a very few hours of direct sun, and that is deer resistant. And, if possible, would add a bit of color to my yard. The employee showed me several possibilities, explaining to me some of the features of each. I wound up buying three "Mountain Fire Japanese Pieris" (Pieris Japonicca "Mountain Fire"). They are normally $34.99 each, but Petitti's was knocking off $15 if you bought three of anything; and I needed exactly three anyway to fill a space at my home. So the price was reduced to $29.99 each, plus tax. The shrubs I bought - as well as all the other flowers/shrubs/trees etc on site looked very healthy and hardy. Employee was very helpful and friendly.
