I observed them doing a concrete driveway at a neighbors house and talked with Joe Parente who came to my house and gave me a verbal estimate of $7,000. He told me that he does not advertise and his business is word of mouth. The job he did at the neighbors looked really good. I hired him. They came out to do the job in a timely fashion and when they finished the driveway looked really good. By November I saw the concrete seams were cracking and I filled them with concrete patch. By April 2009 more seam areas were opening up and cracks were appearing on the driveway in various places. I contacted a female who stated she was Joe Parentes wife and explained the problems I was having.She stated she would tell Joe. I received no response and called her back numerous times with the result being the same. Finally in August Joe and Joe Jr. came to look at the driveway and stated it was bad concrete and they were not responsible for that but they would come out and put some backer rod and caulk/leveler in the cracks. The driveway looked really bad!! They said they would never use fiberglass reinforced concrete again. They said that was all they could do for me. I called there business phone a few days later and talked with Mrs. Parante and told her they were responsible for this mess and I wanted the driveway replaced. She told me Joe would call me and I'm still waiting! The driveway now is not level and water ponds on it and the cement is cracking in new places.
