Orkin LLC - Parma

We have had Orkin pest control services since 2015 at two residences. Services have always originated from this branch, not from any other, so my review is specific to this branch. During the past ~3 years, service costs have risen 50 percent and the level of service has decreased markedly. These two issues in tandem finally pushed me to cancel my service contract with this company. The Orkin representative who comes to the house is unpleasant, sometimes downright rude, and reluctant to spray inside the house rather than just outside. He also fills his giant water tank from my backyard spigot without my permission when he (apparently) thinks I'm not home--because he tries to drive away right afterward instead of knocking on the door--and that only stopped after I went outside once and asked him about it. Both he and the customer service reps are dismissive if I voice a concern, and he doesn't properly treat for seasonal pests such as pavement ants, which require two types of bait, savory/protein and sweet, to be controlled. His seeming lack of knowledge and attention has required an additional service call between scheduled visits, when the ants started making their way into my dining room from the back porch and another time into the bathroom on the first floor. The company advertises that the treatments are good for two months each and that it will not charge for service calls between treatments, but it does--if the company even sends someone out. Each time I have called for an additional service call--when the technician hasn't used the appropriate treatments, as evidenced by my itemized receipt and a Google search of the pesticides--my bill has risen appreciably and without notice. When asked why the cost of services has increased, the customer service rep's answer, just last week, was exactly and only this: "because." This is awful service all the way around. I'm disappointed. I used to rely on Orkin, and I felt relied to have the service and not have to worry about pests. That changed about a year and a half ago. Now I'm just another dissatisfied former customer. Note: The cost of service listed is for one basic maintenance service call to prevent, not treat already present, pests.

He sprayed well, he got rid of the carpenter ants. I would use them again but not if they they're gonna force me into a contract thing.

It was okay. I was satisfied with the service. They were okay. They sent out one person who was qualified. They were courteous.

They did a good job

They are very personable. They come on time and they don't keep me hanging out here waiting. They seem to be very proficient and they don’t hang around. They get straight to what they are supposed to do and I would highly recommend them.

We had ants so they sprayed around our carpet and set mouse traps.
