First, I was promised one day, then installation was moved to the following day -- I am putting my house up for sale and had a little wiggle room -- so no big deal. That day, however, the installers saw piles of dirt about a block from my house, determined the street was closed and did not install. I was verbally promised the job would be done, "Monday or Tuesday." At about 3 pm Monday, my realtor reported no installation so I called to see what time Tuesday so I could coordinate with cleaners. I was met with a refusal to explain why the job was now pushed to "maybe Friday," yelling and hostility. I said I felt I was getting bad customer service and that I would share my feelings. I was asked if I was threatening them. I was basically given the run around -- no clear answers were given. When I inquired about canceling, I was told that a deposit had been charged to my credit card, even though I never received a receipt. But when I checked my card, there was no record of a charge. Shortly after I left a message on their phone service that I was canceling, the owner of the company called. For a second time within an hour, I was yelled at, called a "pain in the a_s" told that my road was closed and reports from the city that contradicted the installer's word were "bullsh_t." I was told I'd see what would happen if I threatened to ruin their reputation. I was repeatedly badgered about whether I wanted to cancel, not given an opportunity to answer or talk and then told that they didn't want my business. After this 4-5 minute tirade, I explained that I had already canceled.
Description of Work: The provider measured for carpet and say they ordered the carpet. Actually getting it installed was another matter. That never happened.
