The service was excellent and the workers were professional. Everything was done on time and they were very prompt. They performed the work on schedule, on cost, and it was done well. They kept everything clean and treated us and our property with respect.

We received an estimate soon after we contacted Jim at North Coast Insulation and Ventilation.. The estimate was detailed and covered all the work required. The work was completed efficiently and professionally on the day it was scheduled. We have noticed a big difference in our heating efficiency and would recommend this company highly. We did not get a second estimate so have nothing to compare pricing but feel it was well worth the money that we spent.

They were perfect company. They were responsive. They completed the work on time and it was quality work.

My mother and I live together, we loved their service and the high quality of work. We would recommend them to everyone. The price was right. The men were always on time and worked hard the entire day. We are in the midst of winter almost a year later and couldn't be happier with the company!! Our home is nice and toasty.

Jim Myers came to give estimate , he was professional , he informed me about Dominion/GoodCents Program which ended up saving us around $650 everyone should look into that. The work was completed as quoted , they left no mess and they did an incredible job.

After 3 years the fan started to make noise. While I did not expect work to be covered under warranty, I thought that the motor could be replaced rather than replace the entire unit. I contacted the vendor on 10/18/14. There was no response. I contacted the vendor again on 10/22/14. The vendor left a voice mail on 10/25/14 stating that they were very busy but that they would contact me on Mon or Tue (10/27/14 or 10/28/14). The vendor did not call back so I contacted them again of 11/02/14. Still no return call and I left one last message on 11/09/14. While I understand that vendors are busy, the least that they could do is return calls. I used another vendor and would not recommend this vendor to anyone.

Most everything went well - they had to come back because some insulation had gotten into an air return. Other than that, they did a good job.

Because of personal and family issues, I could not accept the estimate Mr. Bruell gave me in June until late August/early September. I did not have other estimates because he was recommended to me by a friend so I cannot attest to the price but it seemed reasonable. I had no problems communicating with him in June as we discussed the job. I accepted the given price but did ask for a more specific contract in my e-,mails to him so I could submit it to East Dominion for a rebate and also to make sure there would be no questions as to what the price covered. In late August or early September I decided that I could finally get the job done, Mr. Bruell did not return numerous phone messages I left for him (both on his business and his cell phone numbers) and he did not respond to an e-mail I sent him on September 14. I finally got through once and he told me to call back later as he had labor problems. Again, no return calls to my messages after that response. On or about November 3 I saw his employees at another job and they called him so I could speak to him. Mr. Bruell's response to me was that there was no reason to answer my calls as he still did not have the labor to do my job and to call him on August 6. I called him, he didn't answer, and he didn't return my call. I talked with his sales manager Jim Myers on November 10 and he told me he would call me back no later than November 11. No return call even to tell me that they didn't want to do my job. My friend had told me that he was worth waiting for and maybe there was a reason for his non-response, but this has gone beyond being reasonable or professional.

Had Jim come out to give me an estimate and hid did a very thorough job. Called him a few months later to have the insulation and ventilation needs addressed. Jim and his crew were very professional, trust worthy and they did a great job with the installation. Jim walked me through the work when they were finished and the price ended up being less than what he originally quoted me. I can not say enough about Jim and the company. It is very hard to find great companies who show up on time, are professional and deliver a great product, so I always like to praise the companies that do, Jim and his crew were all of the above, professional and provided great customer service. I would highly recommend North Coast Insulation and Ventilation, you will not be disappointed. Thanks for the great work and a warm house.

I felt provider did not do an adequate inspection and did not inspect all areas of attic. I did request a refund for this Angie's List deal.

He was prompt, efficient and helpful. He went through our the attic and found everything was ok. . He didn't try to get me to buy additional services/goods. Definitely worth it. If I needed their services, I would use this company again.

Spoke with Jim Myers who kept in constant contact about day and time of arrival for insulation. They called 2hrs ahead before arriving to let me know they were on the way. Upon arriving at the front door the first of 3 men introduced himself and the others and shook my hand. Before walking into my home the two other men had drop cloths in hand to line my floors up to the insulation access area. The three worked very well together with no glitches. The blown insulation tube was ran through the upstairs window closest to the room of access to the attic instead of keeping my front door open. After insulation was put in, they asked me to take a look at their work for approval and answered my questions before closing up the access panel. The men stated they were going to close up the panel and clean up then they'd be finished. Estimate and price after work was exactly the same, no surprises. Very polite workers going in and out of the house, very polite to my 4yr who wanted to show them his video games. Very professional with the work, myself and my child, and my home. Would definitely recommend them for more work on my house and others homes. They had no questions for me about what they were supposed to be doing and the work matched the estimate and what Jim and I had talked about.

An attic inspection was performed by Jim M. He explained what the inspection would entail before beginning the inspection. After the inspection, he showed us some pictures he took during the inspection of the attic insulation and bathroom fan venting (two areas that he recommend we address). We had a flying squirrel take up residence in our attic about a year ago and the pics showed evidence of how the squirrel entered our home and where she nested. He looked for wiring damage from the "visitor" and said he did not see evidence of wire chewing. He explained the difference in insulation r-ratings between when our home was built (mid-80s) and what it is today and recommended we have more insulation blown-in. We followed-up our attic inspection by North Coast Insulation with a complete home energy audit by GoodCents, a contractor with Dominion East Ohio Gas. The subsequent GoodCents inspection confirmed that our attic insulation was deficient by current r-rating standards; however, the overall efficiency rating of our home was within the "good" range. As the GoodCents inspection was an overall home energy audit, the GoodCents inspector also assessed our basement and found that a crawl space under a newer addition to our home or did not have any wall insulation. He recommended that we have the crawl space insulated as that would improve our overall home energy efficiency.

It turned out OK. I didn't end up using them for any work but they came to look at my attic. The first guy that came was very concerned and wanted his boss to come out and look at it. So they came out a second time and determined that I had a lot of moisture in the attic and that I needed some remedy but I haven't pursued anything as yet. From a positive perspective I thought it was good that he was honest and wanted a second opinion. They came out a month after a month of my purchasing the deal.

It went well for the most part. The audit was particularly helpful.

They were phenomenal and very good. They were punctual and they knew what they were doing. We had to file paperwork with the government and they took care of all of it. We literally got a refund. It was very well done. They were great. The price was good and very competitive.

The insulation was replaced on the underside of a family room and a barrier was added over the insulation to protect it from the elements and animals. The crew arrived as planned, very professional and completed the work the same day. I would have liked all the previous debris to have been removed. Excellent job.!!

It was great, good service. Everything was good. They came in right away and finished that afternoon.

It went well with the workers arriving when expected and cleaning up when done. It took them 2 days. They did a great job and were cheaper than another one of our estimates. We decided to get some insulation following a report from Dominion's Home Energy Audit Program called GoodCents which told us that our over 100 year old home had almost no insulation. North Coast Insulation is a company recommended by Angie's List and one that often works with GoodCents. GoodCents came out after the insulation was installed and inspected it. We were told that the air leakage from the house had gone down 40%. We also will get over $1000 back from a rebate.

Came in, gave an estimate, and saw we needed more work than the Big Deal covered. Credited me for it, and added the remaining Labor and materials on. He broke down his quote into sections, so I wouldn't have to do them all at once. Finally, he recommeded getting a Home Energy Assessment from Dominion East Ohio before and after he did the work, and I just got a Rebate check from them for $400.00! Took the time to explain everything to me, the impact and benefit of everything, and helped me make an educated decision on what to do right away. I wasn't there during the installation, but my wife said they were very professional. I definitely plan to use them again, to do the rest of the work.
