It was very good. There was nothing wrong with it.

.The company had too many specials going on to the point where they couldn't give good timely service. They would give a 3 hour window in which the plumber would arrive but the time would come and go with no one showing up The first plumber who arrived was over 2 hours late. Since it was already late in the day he couldn't do anything but check out what was wrong, He was to return the next day around noon but never showed up or called. My husband finally called around 4PM wanting to know what was going on and found that the plumber was tied up on another job. The office person said she could re schedule us for Monday( 3 days later) which was totally unacceptable when you need that bathroom, she then said she could have someone here by 6PM and would call to let us know when he was on his way. She never called! When the second plumber arrived, after 6 PM he snaked the sewer and discovered a broken sewer pipe, but again it was too late in the day to do anything that needed done So another day went by without the use of the bathroom my husband needed because of having a broken leg that was surgically repaired and being unable to put any weight on that leg, he had to hop on one foot with a walker to the bathroom at the end of a long hall, which is no easy feat for a senior citizen with other medical problems .I do have to say that both plumbers who arrived were very friendly and good at their job and we would highly recommend them if they were independent,but unfortunately we weren't at all impressed with the company and the way they do things For all the aggravation and delays we were given a $50 discount on a $1600 job and have no idea where the $40 special came in if at all. Not sure if we will use the company again if we do we will make sure they have no specials going on.

I bought a $40 coupon from Angie's List for $90 worth of plumbing work from Mayer Plumbing -- my first experience with this company, but which is highly recommended on Angie's List. I submitted a tentative work list, asking that he snake a clogged sink drain and repair a broken stopper mechanism. I also asked him to check out a malfunctioning toilet. The plumber recommended we buy a new toilet or pay $300 for repairs. Then he snaked our sink drain -- failed to fix the drain stopper -- and charged us $158. (Total was actually $208, minus the cost of the coupon. I should have checked good old reliable Killeen Heating & Plumbing, which had a $95 coupon for a $120 drain snaking job. Never again. Let this be a warning to other Angie's List bargain hunters.

Even with this deal they wanted to charge me $160 to replace a faucet. Their prices are ridiculous. I tried to let them come down on the price but they wouldn't so I just purchased a new deal from a different company for $99 that will cover the work I need.

It went well, the tech was very professional and did a nice job. He wore covers on his shoes and expained everything to me. The only thing that I was dissappointed in was the Angie's List coupon. We bought a $99.00 coupon that said it would cover unclogging the sink and more. When the tech came out he told me there was a $59.00 service fee on top of the $99.00. This was not clear and rather dissappointing finding it out as he stood in my kitchen. Overall, he did a nice job but the vendor should be more up front on the cost. I am not sure that I would purchase another coupon, or at the least I would be skeptical and find out about hidden charges before I set the appointment.

They came out, and looked at the situation. He looked at the light and the tub and surrounding areas. He said I did not have access to the tub so we couldn't look for sure. But based upon the drywall condition and the fact the linoleum was warped assumed that water had gone from the bath indicating my son had allowed water to leave the tub (not put the shower curtain in). We ran the water and no additional water came through the ceiling light. In the end, we have not had any issues and that had to be the cause of the problem. I was very grateful for his professionalism and honesty!. He didn't charge me anything although I was willing to pay! Excellent! They were easy and very accommodating to work with. The plumber was thorough and efficient. He explained exactly what he was doing and answered all my questions. I was very pleased and will be sure to recommend and use in the future.

I purchased a Angie's List deal for $40, I had recently entered contract to sell my home and the inspector believed an elbow joint above the water heater may have been leaking. At first they had scheduled an appointment that was later in the day, but had to cancel because of an emergency. They waived the service fee and rescheduled for a few days later. The plumber inspected the supposed leak, and found some small rust, he tightened a screw on the joint. He was professional and showed up on time for the second scheduled visit.

It was fine but the only thing is I was waiting and waiting and waiting and they were given wrong address. I didn't have my cell phone and had to use my tenants phone They finally showed up and were very nice. But it was frustrating that I had to borrow the tenant's phone. I would use them again.

I was called.prior to the tech arriving. Jessie introduced himself and went right to work on the repair. He was very courteous and put booties over his shoes when he got inside.

He fixed it ok.His attitude is not right very rough.He cahrged 59.99 for service call plus part plus 40 dollars coupon.When i asked him about there is no mention of service charges when i bought angies coupon for 1 hr of labor, he said he does not know angies list and i have to read small print.I feel that when they made an appointment ,they should have mentioned about extra service charges apart from 40 dollars coupon.In essence we are paying 99.99 dollars for 1 hour of labor.

it went very well. T hey were prompt and helpful. Explained problem. Kept calling me dear which I didn't like, but didn't tell him.

No service was rendered. I noticed a $59 service fee in the fine print ("Deal does not cover $59 service call fee; additional fee due at time of service") that needed to be paid in addition to what was paid for the coupon. I do not feel I should have to pay an additional fee to be able to utilize the service I paid for already via coupon. If the company feels the need to charge this fee on top of their coupon, then they should just charge more on the face value of the coupon, instead of trying to hide the additional fee in the fine print.

They cannot get to me until Monday and my downstairs will be flooded if I wanted that long

The appointment went very well. Very professional. Explained everything that was being done.

He was early and prompt. They replaced the faucet and fixed a leaking pipe in the basement. They were going to tune up the hot water tank but they said it was out dated. They came back on a separate occasion to replace the tank. My only issue was they didn’t keep me informed of when they were coming out the second day like they did the first time. The deal worked out great.

I cancelled. I don't have problem if contractors charge trip charges but state it in the add.

OK - used a "deal", had no contact from them until I emailed AL. Will not use again, as they are hour and half from the house. AL had responsibility here, I was charged a 60.00 fee of which I was not aware prior to committment. And... (my fault) I didn't have a clue that the cost would be more than the 90.00, that was advertised. I don't fault the company as much as I fault AL; perhaps there was something I just didn't read and should have. Really upset when I learned the cost was 218 not 90, and that 60 was for the service call. Yes, they deducted 90. So I was credited with 90, (paid 40 for that), and had to pay the difference of 118. Total cost 158.00 for a 40.00 fixture to be installed I purposefully bought on sale. For this reason I won't be using the 200 electrical deals, I'm fixing my own lights in the kitchen . AL needs to HELP the customer, not just be a routing service for vendors.

On both occasions that I have used Mayer Plumbing I have found them to be very professional. They responded to my request for service in a very timely manner. Both times I found the individuals performing the service to very knowledgeable about both the products and service being provided. I also found them to be pleasant and friendly. Additionally, the cost charged for both services was reasonable based upon industry averages. I would absolutely use them again and would definitely recommend them.

Service was not performed because Plumber wanted more funds to replaced faucet and an additional service charge of $59. Apparently, this additional charge is listed in the fine print.
