Description of Work: Called for an estimate to have sink, dishwasher, and disposal hooked up to finish remodel. Everyone was very polite and seemed very professional until he gave us our estimate 820, 733 after coupon, this is outrageous. After calling two other places one being Lowes and another just a random plumber chosen off the list both estimates were 300 from lowes and 250 +parts for the other plumber. I called the company and asked how they justified this price and was told they couldnt now but if i left my number they might be able to. Will never do any business with this company ever.

Description of Work: We bought a discount certificate for 90 dollars’ worth of plumbing work for 40.00 advertised on Angies List and paid on PayPal. Ok, that was easy enough. I told the plumber when he arrived that this would be a quick fix (leaking tub faucet) and let him see my receipt for the certificate. He had to call that in to get his boss’s ok, because he had never seen an Angies list pre-paid coupon before, I guess. It took a few minutes to get his supervisor’s ok on that one, which made me kind of uncomfortable. He then told me before coming into the home, it would be a minimum of 390.00 to fix the faucet, minus the 90.00 leaves me with a 300.00 dollar bill. (They must think that everyone in Strongsville is either rich or gullible) I told him to forget it, I wasn’t interested at that price just to install a washer or grommet. He called his supervisor again and after talking about it they agreed to get it done for 150..00 out the door. After looking at the tub faucet, he had to remove the center diverter (Eljer faucet) and send pictures of it to his supervisor. He then told me it was so old that parts were going to be hard to come by and it would not be fixed today. (later I found the parts after a 10 minute search on the internet and a phone call – TAPCO plumbing now these guys were helpful..they even emailed me diagrams of parts and part numbers). Mayer plumbing then told me to be prepared for having to install a new unit. I told him, I would do that but only as a last resort. The plumber left and called back the next week and wanted to remove one of the valves and send that picture to his supervisor also. That was 4 weeks ago and when I inquire as to the progress, they respond “I will text you when my boss gets the parts in”. You guessed it, the parts never came in. Mayer plumbing was courteous and friendly enough face-to-face, although they did not give satisfactory service and tried to up-charge me (do a new install) when parts were a little hard to come by. Like I said, I found the parts myself in 10 minutes with a quick search on the internet and gave Meyer plumbing the details. They answered “the boss is ordering the parts, he'll let you know when they come in. (Again) This was going to be a simple job, but they seemed uninterested in “the little guy”.

Description of Work: I have used Mayer Plumbing for many years and called them for a hot water heater when my old one needed to be replaced. I had no idea they would take such advantage of me since I had been a faithful customer for years. I could have bought and had the same hot water heater installed for about $700 cheaper by another dealer. Will I do business with them again--absolutely not!!!!!!

Description of Work: Kitchen drain stopped up. PLumber showed up very late in the day because of work problems else where. Was not able to do work that day because he did not have right kind os snake because of misunderstanding with office and myself. plumber came next day and gave me my $50.00 off from Angie"s list coupon plua another 10 % off bill for inconvienence in getting work done on appointed time.. Plmber snaked drain fo close to an hour and did an excellent job. I have usedMayer plumbing before and the same plumber ( ROGER ). I hope to use Mayer plumbing for any future plumbing needs.

Description of Work: Called for emergency service for a water leak on the feed line to a water heater. Problems do not occur at convenient times. This was Christmas night. It was an emergency as the only way to avoid a major water event was to shut off the water to the entire house, which was filled with visiting family members. They were not able to provide the emergency service as noted in the Angie's List company description.
