Very professional plumbers who went above and beyond to discover the source of the problem. Polite and punctual. We would absolutely use them again.

Outstanding! They arrived on time and I was called prior to their arrival. They were polite. They were upfront about what it will cost. They told me what they were concerned about given our house was built 1924. The job went smoothly, and our pipes held up nicely. They told me what I can and should do to keep all our old drains from clogging. This was a dirty job, but they were neat and cleaned up the mess leaving my house looking better then when they arrived. They checked both under the sink and down in the basement for any possible leaks.

All work performed as requested. Looking at Angie List specials, might be able to do toilet replacement at the lower cost than this provider, However, everything is working well with no followup problems to date.

I bought a "Big Deal" from Mayer Plumbing for $90 worth of plumbing work for $40. I told the clerk over the phone the work I wanted performed. They said no problem. Worker came out, looked at the sink, and then called his boss. Worker then stated it would cost $159.00 more to perform the work. At that point it is my fault that I let him move forward and did not cancel. I realize now they were trying to make up for the money they lost in the "Big Deal" instead of just providing a good service. All in all the worker did a decent job but $199.00 total to have a kitchen sink re-caulked is ridiculous. I'm sure I would have canceled the appointment had the worker told me over the phone it would be an additional $159.00.

I found the coupon code after they left. Neither I nor Mayer could find it while he was here. Had to pay again for service, but they were great.

Original date of service the snake used by the serviceman was tangled and could not go beyond 6'. It was an equipment failure and the serviceman was not willing to sign off on it, which we appreciated. A second visit was scheduled for the 13th, the serviceman was on time, and the drain was cleared to 25'. We rated the experience as "good" instead of excellent, only because it took 2 visits to get the drain cleared. However, the service itself was excellent.

During the January "Arctic blast" in Cleveland, one of our pipes froze on the 3rd floor. The plumber discovered it hadn't cracked, the frozen water just blew off a metal cap, which he replaced properly. This took about 15 minutes and he advised us on how to prevent this from happening again in the future Then, we only had about 20% of the hot water we should have in our 2nd floor shower. He disassembled the entire shower mechanism in the wall, inspected every part, and finally told us to turn the water back on full force in the basement. When we did, the hot water shot out of the wall like a fire hose, along with a big metal screw. This screw had somehow fallen into the pipe during our bathroom remodel and had gotten wedged behind the fixture, blocking most of our hot water! We are so grateful this plumber didn't choose to start tearing out our walls to find the source of the problem. He was on time, very courteous, a great problem solver, and gave us some good plumbing advice we can handle ourselves. We would definitely hire this company again for any challenging plumbing problems. The only surprise was the price - over $400, after the coupon discount, when he was at our house for less than two hours.

Kitchen faucet replacement. We have used Mayer numerous times in the past and knew the technician from previous jobs. He is always terrific. The only reason I gave a "C" in punctuality is not the fault of the technician but whoever works in the office regarding appointments. Original time of appointment was between 2 & 5 that day. We reworked our schedules so we would be available in the afternoon. We received a call at around 9:45 am saying the tech. could be there within a 1/2 hour or 45 minutes. So we reworked our schedules again. A few minutes later we received another call saying that he would be there in about an hour as something was extended from his current appointment. We waited and finally received another call around 11:30 saying that he would not be able to get to us until 3 pm.

I had a leaky faucet that they identified the leak and fixed it

Dispatcher was able to rearrange schedules to get a service technician out today due to the fact it was a gas leak. Highly knowledgeable technician Chris arrived on time and performed the repair quickly. I'll use Mayer Plumbing & Heating again and would recommend this company to others.

They did a fantastic job, two technicians(John and Jesse) came in and cleared the drain quickly, they were polite, professional and helpful. I was very happy with the price and the service. They completed the job and cleaned up the shower and were finished within about a half hour. great Job

I had back flow in a drain. I purchased the coupon because I thought it was going to apply to my problem. Called Mayer P&H , they came promptly but they told me the coupon didn't apply for the service I needed. They gave me an estimate around $400 to repair the problem. A friend recommended me blind and sons, they did an excellent job for $200. Thanks.

Cleaned out blocked drain and repaired toilet. They were responsive and helpful in correcting the problems.

I purchased a big deal coupon for this company. It turned out to be a bigger job so it cost me a lot more. They did the job and they did it well. It was pretty expensive however. I think I would not buy one of those deals in the future, it was pretty non-specific. I used the deal soon after I purchased it. I actually did use them for a rental property, I did use them for something at my own house. They did what they said they had to do. They did a good job and everything has been fine. I did hire them to do other work for me.

It was all good. They did everything they needed to do. They did a good job. They were very easy to schedule. When you call they have a human being that answers the phone and sets up the appointment and everything. It was nice to deal with a company that was in the office, he has an office and answers the phone and sets everything up and keeps in contact with you about the timing and everything. It was very good.

I was in desperate need of a hot water tank and I saw a promotion on Angies list through Mayer Plumbing. I went with my gut and put my trust in Angies list and all their clients and contractors and purchased the hot water tank. I set up the installation over the phone and arranged for a friend to be there during that time because I couldn't take off work. I spoke with the plumber briefly over the phone on the day of installation and by the time I got home from work, I had a brand new hot water tank. That was a year ago and I am very thankful that I could put my trust in Angie's list.

I will not be calling again.

Very professional and knowledgeable. Cliff had a very good understanding of the plumbing needs of an old home - mine was built around 1920. He is the first plumber to identify and inquire about a water pressure issue that I've known about for years. Impressive.
