Mayer Plumbing & Heating

John was very professional and cleaned up after himself. We were very impressed and felt that the cost was reasonable. We called Mayer Plumbing back out a few weeks later. Jessie came out and repaired a busted water line that fed our outside spicket. The cost of this repair was 199.99 which we felt was also very reasonable. Jessie did a good job and was also very professional,. We would use Mayer Plumbing again.

They discovered the flange was incorrect. Had to go get a longer one and it works great.

They replaced the faucet hose in kitchen sink (it was stuck and we were not able to take it out ourselves).

Was successful in removing the clog. Also recommended products to remove the clogs. Was very knowledgeable in his field and experienced.

It was fine. I actually wasn't there. It was on an income property that I have. The 2 guys that came out did a good job. It didn't take them too long. The communication was brief but it was fine. They just showed up, did it and left. They showed up when they said they were going to.

Fixed the Garbage Disposal. Well I was very disappointed. he states Oh well you paid the $40.00 through angie's list and there is an additional fee. 'I did no like that. So when they got here there was an addition fee of $18.00 for the service. Here I am thinking I am getting a discount on hourly services. Well then I explain to him I had a leaking pipe in the basement due to the fact he was done In a 1/2 hour and he said you cannot use that money towards another problem in the house. That would be another additional service call. and I cannot use the balance within the next 30 days. WHAT A RIP OFF. WHAT DID I PAY FOR? I would never use this Mayer Plumbing with hidden fees and you cannot use your balance within so many days and then they will charge you another service fee with an outstanding balance on the prior. HIDDEN FEES I paid $40.00 to Angie's List then $18.00 to Mayer Plumbing for 1/2 service of taking out 2 pieces of metal and plastic out of garbage disposal. Then they want to charge me $129.00 on top of $59.00 to come back out and fix a leaking pipe in my basement NO THANKS

Everything went well, other than the appointment being pushed back twice. The first time I was told the wrong day. The second time, the technician was held up at an appointment and was later than expected. But the technician was very helpful and explained the issues I was having with the furnace. He also service my ac and was very thorough and professional. I would definitely use them again. The lateness was due to unforeseen circumstances.

We have had an occasional sewer gas smell in our garage & basement and thought the lines needed to be snaked. We contacted Mayer Plumbing & Heating to come and do the work. When they arrived we explained the problem & they said the problem was not from our lines but more likely from the city's main line. They could have easily done the snaking and charged us without us knowing any difference. It is rare to find an honest company these days and wanted to pass this information along. I will definitely be calling them again for any future problems and will be recommending them to all my friends.

Jesse and Kevin did a very good job. They explained what they were doing and why they were doing it. They completed the job in a very timely manner. I would recommend them for any plumbing job.

Drain was snaked with approx 30 feet of snake. Apparently 2 clogs were encountered but no evidence of the clog came back on the snake. Thirty minutes later I was less $158 but my sink was draining again. When speaking to Jason during the scheduling process, he informed me that the on site technician could determine the correct Angie's List coupon code to apply, based on the assessment of the problem. His on-site technician kept his word and explained the $99 snaking/drain cleaning was the best coupon. The on-site technicians were friendly, professional, and explained their approach and the results. Applied the Angie's List coupon of $99. Added the $59 service call for the $158 total. In summary, I'm happy my drain was unclogged and the professionalism of the onsite technician. In the big picture, $99 was more than enough payment for said service which took approx 30 minutes. I 'thought' the $59 service call fee was included in the $99 drain cleaning but I was incorrect. I'm just a little dissatisfied with the cost of simple plumbing service. Perhaps they could waive the service call fee if the total job takes less than an hour? How about 45 mins? 30 mins? Seems like a money grab to me. How about a coupon for a free service call on a future service? That would entice me to re-hire Mayer Plumbing for a future service.

The service worked out to be excellent. The deal was for $40, but they charged me extra. They came out two different times. One time they came out, it was $98 and in addition to the deal price. The second time, it cost me $150 in addition to the deal price. The price included just for the labor because I had all the materials.

It went very well! They were very pleasant. They did exactly as they told me they would. The technicians were very polite and professional while in my home.

They came out and gave my son an estimate. They ended up doing the work themselves. He showed up on time and was thorough

The furnace would not turn on when it should. It would run for awhile then stop, I would have to turn it on and off until it would start again. After inspecting and cleaning the switches, he told me that he could not say how long this would last. He was very polite and honest. I told him that I was looking for a new furnace. He told me to call his office and they would see what we could work out.I was very pleased with the service .It was not rushed, I didn't feel like I was being pushed into buying anything. I recommend them highly.

Had them out for our 2nd tune up on the central air unit. Had to refill coolant again as we have a small leak in the 20 year old system somewhere. He was polite and courteous and gave us helpful info on buying and installing a new a/c unit from them.

The drain cleaning went very well. However, the plumber said that a pipe in the basement was leaking and it would cost me about $2,500.00 to repair. I had another provider out to get a second opinion and we turned on the shower, the sink, and flushed the toilet all at the same time and found no leak whatsoever. This is somewhat disconcerting to say the least as I was not able to repeat the issue Mayer claimed to have found. The work that was done, was done very well. I have docked him Overall based on the false claim that was made on the pipe in the basement. I was not able to repeat the issue, which makes me worry that he may have been trying to upcharge me for unnecessary work.

We bought an Angie's List Special Deal and paid $40 for an hour of plumbing work. In the fine print, there was a $59 trip charge, but the deal listed services including unclogging drains. We had a few drains that were running slowly, so we bought the deal. When the technician arrived, he told us that he would try to clean the drains, but if he had to snake any of the drains, there would be an extra charge. This irritated me because I thought the work I needed was covered in the deal. As it happens, we did not need to have any of the drains snaked so it all worked out, but I think Mayer might want to be clearer about the services that are covered by their special deals if they run this offer again. The technician was on time, worked quickly and did a good job, so the overall experience was positive.

they arrived 3 hours late they fixed the leaking pipe. I wanted them to install a faucet but he said he had a emergency and could not do it. I was very dissapointed with the fact that I waited all day and he does a portion of the job then tells me he has to go to another job classifed as a emergency. They were very professional and nice guys, but I still had a faucet to be installed when they left and I had taken off work and waited all day

Office team was always very polite and accommodating. Team had to come back another day as an additional leak was missed but was flexible and came back to complete the job. Professional and neat work team.

I have used them a couple of times before.. I use them for drain clearing in kitchen. Technicians are courteous and professional, scheduling is responsive mostly.. BUT, this time I waited for 2 days, on the 1st scheduled day they were to come out they stated that the techs truck broke down and they could not dispatch another tech until a day and 1/2 later. So, I waited. Tech showed when they stated they would 2nd time around. The coupon I purchased stated $99 Drain Cleaning. **BE CAREFULL !! ** there is an additional $59.00 Truck or service CHARGE! I explained that I was unaware and they reduced by $59.00 .. Overall I would use them again and feel they are worth building a relationship with as a residential customer..

Great. They came back a second time as part of the original cost to install the part sent by the manufacturer.

My brother and his wife were visiting us, and of course, we started having trouble with the drain in our bath tub and toilet downstairs would not flush. Looked up plumbers on Angie's List and gave them a call (about 1 pm) and explained the situation, she said they could come out next day but I asked if it was possible if they could come out the same day. She said she would check on it, she called back about 1/2 hour later and said that the guy was on his way. John, the young serviceman arrived and quickly got to work on the toilet. He snaked out the sewer line, had to remove the toilet and snaked that out. He worked almost 4 hours on it and the bathtub, toilet started draining and working. He wasn't satisfied with how the water was going down, he said it should be going down faster, anyway he recommended that he come back the next day and let him run a camera through the line out to the street. We agreed and he came back at exactly the time he said he would. Got up on our roof and fed the camera down the vent pipe. The camera knocked the last of the build up in the line and water drainage was 100%. Also, John said it was clear all the way to the street. John, was great, explained everything that was happening and recommended solutions for the problems. He also spelled out the costs involved. He was a hard worker and very knowledgeable about plumbing. He was also very courteous and answered all of our questions.

A1 Service! They are very accommodating, polite, and punctual!

I bought three of these deals and I feel like the deal description was confusing. I was told that I could only use one of these deals and that there would be an extra $60 to have the services done.
