+ -1 moreA liar and thief. Said he could install entry doors. Hired him and paid a large deposit. He ordered the wrong doors and never had them stained according to the contract. Installed the wrong lock sets. After a meeting, he promised to correct all the issues. Another lie, nothing has been corrected, except changing the locksets. He doesn't live on E Carroll Blvd for years. He's not a BBB A+ member and his LLC is listed as out of business.
Description of Work: New Entry doors, front and side doors.

+ -1 moreMatthew and his crew of three were to arrive each day @ 8:30 and they never arrived before 9:00. While Matthew was in the house the painting went well. But when Matthew was sitting in his truck taking care of his medical issues, his crew did not attend to detail and the work was less than professional. The drywall job didn't match the other part of the ceiling. When painting the beam from the dining to the kitchen the painter got paint on the wallpaper in the kitchen and didn't clean it up. When I pointed this out to Matthew, an attempt was made to clean the wallpaper but the paint , while lighter, still remains on the wallpaper. When cleaning up, one of the painters used dirty water to clean dust off of my furniture. The walls are painted smoothly and look professsionally done but small areas have bubbles and look like the paint was just slopped on. The ceilings were painted well. The painters were polite and courteous but the work could have been better.

+ -1 moreI contacted Matt for an estimate for a bathroom remodel. He consistently failed to return phone calls or keep appointments as set. He failed to call on several occasions within the time period he identified for a response. He emailed an estimate of the projected costs a week later than he promised. I decided I could not proceed with him due to the erratic pattern of our contacts prior to the work even beginning. On his flier he claims "fabulous reviews on Angie'sList.com" but I could only locate one review and it was an "F".
Description of Work: Never got past the estimate for service stage.

+ -1 moreHis installation increased my water bill and cost me 4 working business days of lost business by meeting and retaining new vendors to address the issues caused by your installation. The total value of a new hot water tank installation is now $1,294.15. He never came to review and assess the job prior to ordering the tall highboy tank. He caused more work by not assessing the job. He is not certified as a plumber and he did not have certified plumber install the new tallboy. He directly caused plumbing leaks to the new hot water tank installation and the pipes directly connected to the tank due to his poor installation. He lied and began accusing my boyfriend of manipulating the piping, and he uses the Twelve Step Program to rationalize his behavior.
Description of Work: The exhaust piping was not fitted to code. No permit was filed to install hot tank system. Expansion tank needed to be replaced and was not included in your initial installation. The bladder had collapsed and needed to replaced per Cleveland Heights Code. The main supply line leak was caused by jimmying the piping to install the highboy causing and affecting the surrounding piping. The valve installed was not the correct size for the main supply valve. Because of the jimmying of the piping, there remained leaks in the piping above the hot water tank and the hot water tank seal and near the expansion tank. The top piping was not straight and linear causing the water flow pressure. The main valve now needed to be replaced since the piping was jimmied. The piping that you held up by a wire and nailed into the wood beam had to be removed and pipe straightened. The flux was not properly placed in connection between the tank and piping. We would now need to freeze the main supply line to replace the main supply line valve which would also be additional costs.
