Marty was great. I called this morning and he was over within two hours, and had the machine diagnosed and fixed in under an hour. He was very personable, prompt, and pricing was really good. I would definitely hire him again.

Awesome! It took Marty about an hour to get the parts he needed. Once he picked them up and brought them back, it didn't take long for him to fix the dishwasher - about 45 minutes? Then, because I had just moved into the house, he spent a little time putting in a lightbulb I couldn't reach and even attached new feed lines to the washing machine. Didn't even charge extra (but I did tip him for his trouble!)

We called on a Friday afternoon, and bless his heart, Marty came out that same evening. He had the part we needed - a computer board - on hand - which was SO AWESOME! We thought we were going to be without the entire weekend and then some but Marty took time out of his Friday evening to make sure we had a working refrigerator & freezer. He was nice, and quick and professional.

When my oven's heating element blew, I figured it would take a week to get a repair person to my house and another week to get a replacement part ordered and installed. I called Marty around 9 a.m. He said he would come out in about two hours and, if I could give him the oven's model number, he would bring the part. He told me where to find the number and I read it to him over the phone. Ninety minutes later, he showed up and installed the part. Instead of two weeks, my oven was working again in two hours. From now on, he will be my go-to appliance guy.

`Marty was great. He came the day after I called. I needed parts and he also took apart the dryer and cleaned everything. Dryer runs great now. Very nice man. I would certainly call him again.

I called Marty's Appliance for a service call and Marty was at my home within three hours. He was professional and quickly repaired the refrigerator. He even gave me suggestions on maintenance to keep the refrigerator running smoothly. I was impressed with Marty's Appliance and would not hesitate to call him again.

Our appointment was scheduled within days. He arrived at the exact time he stated he would. He spent time to determine what repair was needed & if the repair was worth the money - (if a new washing machine was needed). Marty was willing to fix the machine - however, the repair would cost too much to fix - and it was determined by all that it would be better to invest in a new machine. I appreciate his honesty and his expertise in that he could have put a Band-Aid on a problem that would have only lasted for a very short time and merely wasted our money. Its nice to deal with a truly honest and experienced repair man. Thanks. Will hire for all my appliance repair from now on.

It was great. Marty was so available come out the day after I called and I had read reviews where if he had refurbished machines he would sell. As it turned out later that day one became available and he installed the next business day and took away my old one at no additional charge! I spent less than half what would have been a new machine and I love the one I bought from Marty.

Very well. Technician was able to determine the issue and provide the fix with estimated cost quickly. The final repair was done same day.

Marty was wonderful!!! I had fears of having to replace the entire machine, but Marty insisted that it would be fixed. Even though diagnosing the problem was a bit tricky, Marty would not give up. He was there several hours and even though it was probably frustrating, Marty remained calm, cool and collected. He even let me clean the inside of the machine while it was apart. I will definitely call him again!!!

He did as well as he could. The knob was not available any more, it's that old, but he tried to fix it and it did work for a little while. He figured out the problem right away. There was no unexpected issues, except that the knob was so old he couldn't replace it, he had to try to repair it. I got a discount. It was a temperature knob. The little device inside came apart and it was not replaceable. He hunted for it and he couldn't find it. So that was good, in his favor. But, he tried to use some kind of special glue, which held for a while.

Marty was great! He was able to schedule & repair the dryer on the same day! His prices were better & very reasonable compared to the others. He applied the Angie's discount with no issues. I will use Marty in the future. Thank you Angie's list!

He was prompt, came on a Saturday, was polite and knowledgeable. He explained to my husband that the motor would need replacing and it would cost $500.00 and we decided to not have it fixed. He gave us a discount because we got his name from Angie's list and we wrote him a check.

Our washing machine broke on December 23rd right before we were leaving for vacation. In desperation I called Marty. He answered the phone right away and agreed to come out on CHRISTMAS EVE to fix our washing machine!!! He arrived promptly, did a great job, and charged a reasonable price. Please hire him!

I am conflicted about this review because while he did the repair promptly for, what seems, a reasonable price I did have one issue. After he made his repairs, to the washing machine at my rental property, I paid him via paypal, which is what we agreed on. 5 days later he calls me and leaves me 2 voicemails, where he was clearly irritated, and said that I did not pay him and that if I didn't pay him he would go back over there and take the part out. Turns out I sent the payment to the wrong email address. I was working that day and did not receive his voicemail until later that night. I found out later he waited about an hour for me to return his calls and when I did not he went back over there and put the old part back in. Eventually it was all worked out: he got his payment and the new part was put back in. Even though it all worked out, due to the completely unprofessional behavior, I can not recommend Marty's Appliance repair.

My first interaction with Marty was for a noisy dryer. He came out the same day I called and fixed it by replacing worn bearings and belt. He showed me all the parts he replaced. They were in need. I believe this visit was under $200.00 He was in my home for 2 hours. CLEAN operation. Next time I called Marty it was for my washer pump. Instead of replacing the entire pump, he determined it was the magnetic strip that controls the spin cycle. He replace only the magnet. He came out the same day I called and was in my home about an hour. This visit was under $200 Last visit was when my Samsung refrigerator fan was making noise. AGAIN, Marty came out the same day I called. He pulled the fan out and showed me it had been iced up and rubbing. He swapped out the new fan and nothing else since nothing else was needed. He pulled the motor cover about 6 times to be sure the fridge was cooling properly. He wanted to be VERY sure the new part was working. He was in my home over 2 hours and charged under $300 Look no further for your appliance repair.

I called Marty over the weekend during non-business hours. He promptly returned my call Monday morning and was out to our home within a few hours. He replaced our transmission and was very honest about the condition of our machine as we were contemplating buying a new one. He completed the job quickly and the price I believe, was very fair. Would use him again.

Marty fixed the oven much more quickly than I expected. No need to order the part, he had it on hand. Good job.

After waiting three days to hear from another appliance repair service, I figured that I had nothing to loss by trying to contact another. I called Martys repair at 11:15am that morning in hopes of getting an appointment. Our refrigerator had water filling up under the vegetable bins and we were wiping it out every three days.To my surprise, he was on his way to a call close by and said he would stop in to check out the situation. He was at my house within the half hour of our phone call. As it turned out we had a blocked drain line and what seemed to be 15 years of dirt build up around the motor and condenser. He was able to clean everything out of the back and unblock the drain line. He also helped us out with our door seal. The main seal around the door, from years of use, was cracked and splitting apart. He put apoxy on and around the seal to give it some stability. The door stays closed much easier now. He told us that the motor and condenser were both fine and we had a good charge coming from both. I was very impressed with the quick service we received and we will definetaly be using him again.

Phoned Marty's appliance Repair on July 16. Although He could not come out that day that was okay. He later phone me again the same day in the evening and confirmed he would be out on the 17th between 10 and 12. He had not arrived by 12:30, so I phoned him because I wanted to be sure he was coming. He had forgotten that he had called me the evening before and told me he was planning to come at the end of his day. Once we got this cleared up, he did show up after he finished the job he was on. I had an icemaker that had stopped dispensing water, then stopped dispensing ice cubes. I could live without the water, but was worried to just let it go, since everything had then also stopped. My suspicions from looking on-line was that there was ice in the lines, which I mentioned to him. He checked the lines behind the refrigerator and did some reconnecting to see if the water was coming through, and it was. There was no plumbing issue. Still the water would not dispense. After some more switching back and forth he thought it was corrected as he got the water to come from the lines. He put the refrigerator back in place, but still no water came out of the dispenser. Ultimately, there was ice in the lines, and he got a heat dryer of some sort and directed it as some of the lines around the dispensing unit and under the refrigerator. Which is exactly what I had found in my research on line, but my concern was there was something else was wrong when the ice stopped dispensing. He mentioned when he had been there about 10 minutes and still behind the refrigerator checking the lines that it already was $120.00, I can only think this is what he charged for this kind of job. I believe he noticed that it was very dusty behind and inside the back of the refrigerator and I asked him what it would cost to vacuum it out. He had said it would be another $60 so $180 plus tax. I did have him vacuum this out, because I knew it had never been done. and he was already there. There were no parts involved, and he had also told me in my initial conversation that if I called one of the "big" repair stores it would be a lot more. How much more could it be? I did call another service repair company the next day because I felt ripped off, and received a quote of 90.00 plus $30 for the vacuuming of the unit. I had used them before, and should have used them again. No Angie's list discount was even suggested. He seems to be a very nice, pleasant man, and is knowledgeable at what he does, but I would not use him again because of cost. My mechanical skills are nil so I could not have done the jiggling around behind the refrigerator, and I do not mind paying for services, I just do not want to feel taken. This is the second time I have been unhappy with an Angie's list recommendation.

Marty returned my message right away (during business hours) and was able to come on the same day. He arrived easily within the window of time; he got right to work asking questions and diagnosing the problem. Marty worked efficiently, was clearly knowledgeable, and finished the work the same day. Marty is very professional and we recommend him to anyone needing service. Thanks, Marty!
