Came out immediately. Polite and friendly. It ended up being a minor repair, but hie was very thorough.

He came out twice. He knew exactly what the problem was in both cases.

We prefer to patronize smaller businesses in our community, so Angie's List is perfect because it is a reliable place to find qualified service people. That's what I thought until I ran into Marty. He charged me $206.00 for the part and labor. When I told him that seemed to be excessive. He said, "Call Maytag, and see what they charge. It would be a lot more." Well, I did exactly that. A service call from Maytag is $75.00, they said the part would be $20.00. Total $95.00! Further more, they offered me a service plan for $194.00 that would cover the current repair, plus give me a 1 year service plan! Marty overcharged me by $111.00. During the discussion about price, I told him that I got his name from Angie's list and asked for a discount. He said, "I'm doing this to make money." He certainly is! I told him that I was going to write a review of exactly what happened and how he overcharged me, to protect others from him. He replied, "You better not write me a bad review!" Really, Marty. Take Marty's advice call Sears, first! While he was there, I asked Marty to take a look at my washer, which was leaking water around the seal. He quoted me a price of $260.00 to fix it. I called Sears. Price for the parts, $118.00, shipped to my home for free. The guy at Sears told be that I could replace it myself, because it is so easy. That is what I'm going to do.

Both times he came out the day we called him (or the next day)and our appliances needed new parts. He had the parts we needed and had the appliances fixed the same day he was here.

Marty can to my home in a tinely manner and installed my new dishwasher -

This guy is the best. He asked me a few questions over the telephone which I could not answer. Marty scheduled an appointment with me and arrived on time. My washer stopped working and he knew just what was wrong with it. The machine was disassembled and a new clutch and pump was installed. The replaced clutch was of better quality then the one was that was supplied with the machine. The washer was reassembled and has been working perfectly. My icemaker produced a cube with black particles in it. Marty ordered a replacement icemaker for me. When the part arrived, he scheduled an appointment and completed the job. I own a plumbing company and offer the very best of quality and customer service to my customers. As a consumer, I ask for the same from the contractors I hire. Marty exceeded my expectations, I would hire him again.

He was absolutely wonderful, and his prices were great.

I called around 10am and he was at the house by 12. It was exceptional turn around and he did a nice job in a short amount of time. The machine was making a loud banging noise in the spin cycle and also there was a screech every time it stopped. These problems are now gone. I have no idea on price, whether it was good or not, but it didnt seem terrible.

Showed up on-time. Diagnosed problem (which was an engineering defect). Ordered the correct parts. Installed the parts. Washing machine has been working like a champ ever since.

Marty came out first thing the next day. He offered to come same day, but our schedule did not allow that. In addition to the freezer issue that we called him on, he took extra time to fix both the ice maker and our double oven. He also showed us how to troubleshoot the ice maker should the problem reoccur (although it has not). He was very friendly and his prices were more than reasonable. We would not hesitate to call him in the future.

Drier still works. He left it and the area better looking than before. He also came on short notice, which was appreciated.

Someone came quickly after I called. The technician was very knowledgeable, identified the problem and communicated clearly to me what the situation was. He indicated that he could fix the washer, but that it would likely that we would be throwing good money after bad. He said we should buy a newer washer with a better track record of service and suggested a few brands. When I asked him how much I owed him for the half hour or so he spent, he said no charge. This meant a lot to me as I was out of work at the time and financially strapped. He said the money would be better spent going towards a quality washer. I am delayed in posting this report, but my drier is now acting up as well now, and I figured it would be good to post a review for the previous work before I call them again for this problem!

I was seeking a used dishwasher, and was able to find one through Marty. It was the same price as the other locations I checked, and delivery charge was reasonable ($30). He was punctual (even offered to bring it out the same afternoon, although the next morning was better for us, so that's what we scheduled), and while he was out he was also willing to look at a problem with our ancient stove. He did a bit of research and gave us a call within a few hours with news about the cost/availability of repair parts. He's a one-man business, as far as I understand, and is very responsive to phone calls (returns them very quickly). I was pleased.
