I explained to Mr. Maitland that a single vent was not performing properly on the top floor of my townhouse (all the other vents on this level of the house were operating normally). Mr. Maitland suggested that I close all the vents on the main floor to see if this would make a difference. It did not. I had to call the builder to complain and Maitland was sent back a second time. Again, he suggested that I close the vents on the main floor. He insisted that all the vents were blowing air at the same level. I asked that he inspect the ducts with a camera. When he did, A large piece of insulation was found in the duct blocking air flow as well as builder debris. Had I not insisted that he use a camera, the piece of insulation would still be in my duct work. I feel Maitland was looking for a quick fix rather than trying to fix the actual problem. The vent works better but there is still not an equal amount of air coming from this vent.
