Description of Work: The following is an email I sent to Cole at Affordable Lawncare. I did not receive a reply. It fairly well sums up what transpired. The arborvitaes mentioned were at least seven to eight feet or more high along our inclined drive. The land on the neighbors' side declines a foot or two, so it's difficult to reach the arbs. As I mentioned in the email, he should have never attempted the job considering he didn't have the equipment or skills to do so. It was a complete waste of his time and my money. | |Cole, |I received your message in response to mine that I left earlier this week. I am more than sorry that you're unable to complete the job you started. | |You arrived at our house late with no apology for the lateness, just an excuse that the traffic was bad and your GPS sent you on a long journey. I understood that the construction in our area has caused slow traffic and GPS systems are notorious for mapping out strange routes. However, what you should have done was call from the road and explain that you'd be late, or at least you should have apologized or given an explanation for your lateness before I made a call to you, and commented on the call and the time when you arrived. It makes for better business relations to acknowledge lateness even if you have no control over circumstances. |I will give you credit for attempting to trim the arborvitaes, but knowing you've never trimmed anything at that height before, and not having the proper equipment, you should have thought through on the situation and simply told us you wouldn't be able to do it. We would have accepted that. I appreciate your attempt, but now I am still left with an unfinished job and ridiculous looking hedges that I will have to hire someone else to do. So much for trying to save myself some money and using a recommended business from Angie's List. |You were here on August 20th, and when you left you told my husband that you'd try to find some long trimmers and would get back to us. On September 10th, I had to call you. If you knew you couldn't finish the job, you should have called me. I shouldn't have had to call and ask you if you would be returning. Once again, a bit of thoughtfulness makes for better business relations and a good business reputation. And if South Euclid is too far away and therefore, not cost efficient for you to travel from the West Side, you should have specified in the Angie's List advertisement, "West Side Only". You seem personable and friendly. A suggestion is to work on some business tactics. Without a doubt, I'm sorry this did not work out. |

Description of Work: Fertilization/weed control. Not good. Grab grass took over the front yard, worse then any year since we owned the house (which was 2005 til now).

Description of Work: Not responsive to my time frame. Rented the equipment and did not own the equipment to be used. Could only do the work on Monday not on Friday because they were returning the equipment.

Description of Work: Affordable Lawncare got rid of the weeds I had growing in my driveway and backyard, and planted grass in its place. They did a great job; it looks like a new backyard! They even trimmed trees and stumps that were in the way. It was an all day job for them and worth the price.

Description of Work: I placed the order-order form allowed me to request various dates (which I did for a month out), they said they could not accommodate that request, I am asking for a refund.

Description of Work: They did a nice job of cleaning out our beds. However, they blew dried grass all over our garage door and the siding on our house. All of that should have been cleaned up before they left.
