Description of Work: Bought coupon for deck maintenance. Decided to have our fence pressured washed and stained as well. We upgraded the stain package. Our basement walls were also scraped and waterproofed. Price I felt was very reasonable. Benjamin and his crew were very professional and punctual. They did a great job cleaning up the work site.

+ -1 moreI appreciated the way Ben showed us the negative effects of putting latex over stained cedar, and how he was very clear on what was required, and what could expect for the results both on the immediate (&) long term sides. His prep was comprehensive, and included full tarp coverage for the bushes and scrubs around the house, the roof, driveway, and front porch. I was knocked out by the amount of effort that was put into the hand scrape & sanding of the house. The final coat was flawless, and we have not seen any additional flaking through fall & winter. We are completely happy with the results, and would recommend Ben's company to anyone.
Description of Work: The job we had required a fix on what had become a full blown disaster regarding the exterior paint on our home. The owner previous to us, had applied a latex coat over stained cedar siding (cheap "quick fix" making for a long term headache ). The exterior finish was showing 80% "alligatoring", and in many places you could pull off flakes that ended up being 2 to 3 inches long. To provide the best finish, Ben did a 100% hand scrape, followed by a complete sand & power wash. In addition, the entire house was caulked, including overhangs, eves & any major voids in the cedar siding. Final coat was sprayed on, and looked amazing upon completion.

+ -1 moreWe were impressed with Ben's quick response, and the fact that he spent a half an hour with us detailing the fix and what it would entail. We really appreciated the way Ben laid out not only the detail's of the job, but the suggestions he brought to the table (addition of crown molding). We went with Ben based on a very positive experience we had prior (exterior), and were delighted at the results of this project. All cracks were sanded, sealed and painted to the point where they disappeared. The crown molding was installed seamlessly, and the cleanup was flawless. With all the sanding Ben had to do, I was amazed at how clean the room was (we have black leather furniture - no dust).Could not be happier with these results.
Description of Work: This project covered 3 bedrooms, a main hallway, utility room and main living room. The house was built in 1972, and had suffered major wall cracking from a truss lift problem in all rooms involved. We were looking for a quality fix, and asked Ben Kiss to format a proposal. He came back the next day with a formal bid (as promised) and spent a half hour detailing the fix, including heavy sanding, major crack seal and repair, and crown molding installation.

Description of Work: I own a ranch home and Ben painted the entire interior of my home. He painted the ceilings, walls, and trim. Every room was properly prepared before painting began. I think every square inch of my carpet was covered with tarps. All of the furniture was moved to the center of each room and covered with plastic. At the end of each day he even helped me and my wife move the furniture back. Ben was very courteous and here when he said he would be. It was a very trying week for us with our daughter getting married on saturday, and Ben was finished on thursday ahead of schedule. He stayed later 2 days just to help us out. I see why he stays so busy, and we thank him for squeezing us in.

+ 1 moreOn the exterior he had to scrape all of the peeling paint, and he was very thorough in his prep work. He was flawless with his painting skills too. He re painted all of my doors, trim, baseboards, walls & ceilings. His paint lines are all flawless along the ceilings. He was also on time & reliable and I plan on using him in the near future to paint my rental properties. His pricing was also more competitive than other painters I got estimates from.
