I chose him because of his ratings on Angieslist. He was on time, professional and nice. He took a long time to come.

They first provided a quote and then did the job. It was masonry work. They were prompt and came out when they were supposed to. They did good work and also cleaned up after themselves. They were reasonably priced too. I would recommend them.

Very well. We had to wait awhile to get the work done, due to the weather. But, as soon as the weather cooperated, they did the work, and it was done very well and exactly as estimated. They cleaned up all of the debris as well. Job well done.

I had some bricks left over from a previous job so I had Huckabee use them to do the repair. He was on time and they were steadily working hard despite the cold. They kept to the task and were friendly and informative throughout. They got the job done in a timely manner and cleaned up well upon completion.

Things went very smoothly. They came out when they said, worked hard the whole day and completed everything. They cleaned up well afterward. I was impressed that Vince was realistic about what he could do. We have cracks in the garage floor and he said that any repairs that he would do would not last long at all, so we decided that we would not have this done.

They were good. They were professional. He did the work to our satisfaction and he was reasonably priced. I would use him again if I still lived there.

I called them up about the tuck work needing to be done on my home. He responded "How much do you want to spend? Would you go $5,000 dollars?" and he kept asking how much I'd be willing to spend. Well I wanted him to come out and give me an estimate and he said it would be $25 fee so I stopped the conversation. I contacted another provider and their estimate after coming out to my house was $700.

Original estimate was for fireplace chimney. Took them one day. Had asked them to look at the other one. They stated that it was just as bad as the other, so they gave me an estimate and came back the next day to complete the work. They are so quiet and professional and did a beautiful job of matching mortars.

Spoke with Mr Huckabee and he came out the same day and repaired my stairs. He completed the job very quickly and was very friendly and professional. The repairs turned out great and my husband and I were very pleased.

From start to finish service was prompt, efficient, courteous, neat and professional. The estimate was clear; the work was done well and as promised. I was especially concerned that with the many small areas to be tuck pointed that it would look like a hodepodge. In fact, they match the mortar color so that I cannot see where the work was done. I was very pleased with the service and will call them if we need additional work done.

Upon initial discussion they determined they wouldn't be lowest price so they declined providing quote. Assumed I was looking for lowest and not quality.

I had used Huckabee before to fix my porch slab. They came to see the work required on Mar 2 and said that they would call later with a quote. Despite calling them back and leaving messages, we did not get a call back. Finally when I managed to speak with Vince on Mar 19, he informed me that they were not interested in doing the work without giving any reason beyond that we did not seem interested in them doing the work. This despite the fact that my wife provided them with a copy of the inspection report which detailed out the 2-3 jobs required. When I asked why he did not call before so that I could find another party, he claimed that we had not left any follow up messages. When I informed him that he should have still called to decline the work, he finally apologized. Given this experience I would not use or recommend Huckabee in the future.

After a flat roof replacement, we were still having problems with moisture swelling an exit door/door frame. I was concerned that our brick parapet wall needed mortar repairs and that possibly the lintel over the problem door needed to be replaced and the brickwork surrounding it rebuilt. Vince came out, looked everything over and said that he just didn't see any problems with the brickwork, mortar or lintel and that my problems were likely from splash-up or a small roof leak. Gave a careful, considered opinion, examined the areas in question carefully and spent quite a while looking things over and addressing my concerns. Did not charge me for his travel or consultation time. I was very impressed with his professionalism. He could have done a little bit of work and charged me without telling me that it wouldn't solve my problem. I will definitely call him again and recommend him to anyone who needs a mason.

They were good and it went once excellent. I would grade them high across the board.

It seems to be a good job (just recently done). Once it truly dried out there was a "frosting" of mortar on the faces of some of the bricks. Mr. Huckabee came back promptly and removed it. He was courteous and professional.

Estimate given on April 16 for the foundation and possible tuckpointing of chimney. Decided to put off tuckpointing the chimney until next season--after I have the trees trimmed back. They said that they would return in a couple of weeks to complete the work, and honored that commitment. I paid$100 down on the work up front and balance upon completion. I thought they did a very good job of attempting to match the mortar, considering this house was built in 1920. I will most likely use them next season to do the chimney.

They did a great job. They were fantastic. They were prompt.

Mr. Huckabee promptly came to provide an estimate. His quote was a little less than another company I had called. The work was done promptly and in 1 day. The area was completely clean afterwards. Mr. Huckabee called to follow up for our opinion of the work.

I would not hire this contractor. If they cannot be trusted to leave a quote, I wouldn't trust them to get the job done.

Mr. Huckabee responded promptly to my call requesting an estimate. I appreciated his honesty in telling me that the masonry in my basement was fine and did not need tuckpointing. His assessment of the exterior areas was also very straight forward. He performed the work in a timely manner and it appears to be of high quality.

Vince was very courteous and professional. He answered all of my questions. He and his crew did an excellent job! When I arrived home, my steps looked great and they had cleaned up the area. They completed the job sooner than estimated. :-)
