I put a lot of effort into my decision of whom to trust my home with. They promised the best price and a guarantee so going in I was optimistic. Well I was very wrong. First rainfall showed all they did was relocated flooding to front of the house. They came back to re-route discharge. Fast-forward to next rain, still standing water in my crawlspace in an area they had not worked on. I m told by boss they will cover under warranty where they did not work. Yet I specifically asked the salesman during estimate, and he said it would be covered and fixed but also said that area should not be a concern since it was a high point and the pump should collect water before it can accumulate in that area. So my 8600 dollar investment was a waste, and they need another 6000 to fix it even though the salesman claimed they do not up charge price once work begins no matter what they find. Apparently that also is not true. The entire experience was nothing but miscommunications and had to have them back 3 times for the areas they did work on. So why would I invest another 6000 for them to do the rest of the home. I wish I could go back and choose one of the other companies. It turns out there too good to be true price was exactly that. Then you almost feel trapped into getting the rest done by them since you are already financed with them. Horrible experience and worst investment I have ever made. My crawlspace is nowhere near waterproof. I have done my best to refrain from reviewing but at this point I m 8600 dollars into a non-waterproofed crawlspace and the way to make it right is to charge me 6k more to do what should ve been done originally. Go elsewhere and save yourself the stress. I truly wish I had.

Let me begin by saying that Highlander was professional, courteous and easy to work with. Phil and his crew were great, they were friendly, informative and professional. The only problem I have with the whole process is the estimate the actual work needing to be done. I don't know if the estimate was based on a scope that was far more difficult than what was actually encountered but here is what happened. Phil and crew were at another job that lost power, they called me to see if they could come and do my job so they would not lose the whole day. They arrived at noon at my house and by 330 my wife was signing off that they had completed the job. Let's say 4 hours to make it easy. There were 4 guys totaling 16 man hours. There was no special equipment - pick up, trailer and hand tools. No specialty equipment. The foundation was only 18" deep as opposed to 36 or more that a foundation is usually set to. The materials were basically 4 wire re-bar cages and concrete bags. I am being generous at 500 for materials but let's go with that. The job was estimated and contracted at 4500. Less 500 for the materials that is 4000 for 16 man hours or 250 per man hour. Now I am an accountant, I work with overhead, costs, benefits, insurance, etc. everyday. I was formerly a contractor that designed homes for handicapped accessibility. I am currently remodeling my bathrooms working with other tradesmen (plumbers, carpenters, electricians, drywallers, flooring installers, etc). The point is I know a thing or two from my experiences. I get padding an estimate to be sure there is a contingency built in for unexpected things. So $250 per man hour is greater than anything anyone has ever charged me except an excavator operator and that included the excavator and semi truck delivery for $350 per hour. So I was needless to say a bit disappointed in the estimate. At 125 per hour (which is more than fair) and 500 for material that job should have been valued at $2500. I paid 4500, now I signed the contract and am liable for the charges. I just want people to know what they are getting into with these estimates. I called the company and complained a week or so ago. A very nice girl and I spoke and she said she would take it to her supervisors. To date I have not heard back. I want them to reconsider the scope of the work done what I was charged because the price was not commensurate with the scope of the work done. But I signed off on it and I paid it. I just feel I have to say something so others do not over pay for such services. I believe Gary (the estimator) thought the job was going to be more than double what it turned out to be. That is why I would like to give them an opportunity to reconsider and I will be happy to write an update to this review with whatever the outcome is. I leave it for you to decide, is 250 a man hour a fair price to pay for hand tool labor? That is what I paid. Other than that major beef I have, the experi

From the estimate with Contractor Gary to the immaculate, efficient and incredible work by the Phil Ingerck team, we were definitely pleased. The cost for the professional and extremely clean work was definitely a fair and reasonable price. The team completed the job in 2 days! Amazing! We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a professional, respectful and efficient basement waterproofing company. Thank you!

I am very dissatisfied with the job Highlander did for me. Jules the owner, told me everything I wanted to hear, and did none of what was promised. The concrete work was subpar, left a total mess in my yard and in my house. The Forman ,Brandon had a horrible attitude. I have called since February to get a return visit to clean up my yard, and never could get Jules to answer my calls. Once he got his money, he had no more interest in solving my issues. This company should be put out of business!

Professional answering all questions and very efficient getting the job done. Explaining in details why the problem occurred. We were surprised how everything was clean and hardly no dusk and also swept outdoors.

The customer service and salesman Gary were great from getting the appointment set up to explaining the work processes to getting the job scheduled in a quick manner. The workers were there all day and worked to get the job done.. The only thing I wish was done differently was better dust control... The plastic they hung was not done well and they left a big open area which caused all of the concrete dust to filtrate my entire home... The cleanup from this job will take a long time.. It went everywhere. Its only been a few days, so I can't say how well the quality of the work is, it looks like it should hold up and the lifetime warranty helps ease any worry that I might have about the job... Overall, happy with the service and job.
