HENNESSY'S INTERIOR PAINTING SERVICE

This was my favorite "find" on Angie's List. There was just something so great about Gary & Maria Hennessy. They are so friendly and nice and very helpful with advice. They did an awful lot of extras for me which I appreciated because I had a lot going on that particular week and if not for them speaking up, I would have overlooked a few things. It was so convenient that I could just give them an entry code and not have to be there. I don't really have any areas left for them to paint but I surely will recommend them. The quality of their work is excellent and they clearly have a routine which makes them efficient.

Mr. Gary Hennessey and his wife were the people that I dealt with. They were good. They cleaned up everything and they did a good job. They patched a couple of spots for me. It was just him and his wife. They were both very nice and very good. There were no complications. I will definitely use them again in the future.

I called Gary to get an estimate. He came over the same day. While there, he even helped me pick the paint color out of the two I had selected. He provided an estimate the very same evening. I got another estimate, which was lower in price, but Gary's professionalism won me over. I had a good feeling about Gary and I was right. He promised, he'd get the work done before Christmas and he did. The room looks great. The walls are smooth. AND they cleaned up all of their mess. I had nothing to clean up. Just a great experience. I will definitely use Gary again.

Gary worked with his wife, Maria, during the entire project and was accompanied by another painter, Al, for a few days. They were all skilled painters and meticulous with details. They worked in our home for two weeks and we found them to be pleasant and courteous house guests. They were conscientious about cleaning up at the end of the day and at the completion of the project. We were very pleased with the final results and would not hesitate to contract them again.

Gary was very responsive, both in getting here to look at the job and give an estimate shortly after I initially called, and in doing the work once we gave them to go ahead. Gary and Maria were here when they said they would be, did a beautiful job, and cleaned up each night as if they had not been here working. I would definitely recommend Hennessy's painting service.

They're punctual, reliable, and clean. When they leave you can't even tell you had contractors in the house except that you have freshly painted walls.

Gary returned phone calls promptly, he and his wife did an excellent job. They finished the job in a timely manner. My home was left very clean when they left. He did a very nice job and I am very, very happy with the result

I typically do my own painting projects. However, we decided to have most of our interior painted and it was just too much to take on. This was the first time I hired a professional painter and it was worth every penny. Gary is reliable, professional, and honest. His workmanship is top notch. He was very nice and fixed a lot of minor wall repairs without charging. We also had a couple of more involved repairs that were reasonably priced. I would definitely use Gary again.

A friend at work recommended Gary. He was very prompt in returning my initial call and accomodated my work schedule to meet with me. He described in detail what the job would entail and gave me his estimate. At our second meeting we discussed color choice; he made some excellent recommendations. The job was completed in three days. Gary's work is excellent - very precise and clean. The entire work area was cleaned up and all materials were removed. Only the leftover paint remained, each can being labeled by Gary as to which paint it was and the color. Beautiful work!

We were very pleased with the work of Gary and his wife. We had a total of three different painting companies come to the house and put together bids for the job. Gary?s bid was the most competitive and he did the best job explaining the full scope of what was included in the bid. We picked paint colors for the dining room and kitchen and gave the ID number of the colors to Gary to pick up from the paint supplier. We did not want to change the color of the kitchen and there was a can of paint in the basement of what we thought was the kitchen. The can was from the previous owner of the house, and assuming it was the same color we ordered it. After the first wall was painted my wife noticed this color was considerably brighter and did not look like we wanted. Thinking we were just going to have to ?live with it,? she left the house for some therapeutic shopping. When she returned she noticed the paint didn?t look that bad and was actually pretty close to the original color of the walls. Gary then said that he went back to the paint supplier and had the paint darkened while she was out. We were very appreciative of Gary?s help and for taking it upon himself to fix the problem.

Mr. Hennessy and his partner did a superlative job. I tested dark paints on the walls in two rooms and the moment Bill walked in he told me that was a big mistake and wished people would stop doing that. The reason being is that unless it is primed over, which they did, I think, the chosen paint color may have degrees of different colors showing through. They fixed my errors and the painting job throughout is beautiful. They were prompt and extremely neat. Bill was honest as to the quality of the paint that I purchased and the results that it might have on different areas of the woodwork. I work all day and would stop by only at night. I would call and we would discuss my concerns and questions. Since I was not there, Bill would call me before he painted anything of consequence that he had questions about. Since Bill is the professional painter, he took the initiative and made decisions in small matters which worked out extremely and surprisingly well for me. I have already suggested Hennessy Painting to others and will have them return and finish the painting throughout when I choose the colors for the rest of the condo.

They do excellent work and cleanup. Project took 2 full days with three painters. Would recommend highly.

The service was very good. We had no complaints and no problems.

Mr. Hennessy appeared promptly for the estimate and called me back the same evening with a price; began work promptly when I decided to use him; was neat and tidy; moved all furniture without incident; took care not to allow pets to escape as he came and went. He called almost every evening to update me on progress and where work would commence next. I am very pleased with the quality of the work and have already referred him to 2 friends.

Gary, the owner, is very thorough and honest about what needs to be done. His estimates are reasonable and he holds true to it. He works well with his crew, which includes his wife Maria, and together they do quality work. They were always punctual and thorough in cleaning up. It is obvious that Gary enjoys his profession and he's good at what he does. Customer service is a high priority for him and he extends himself to keep his customer satisfied. I called him on a Saturday after discovering some areas that needed touching up and he was out promptly to take care of them.

We contacted Gary on Saturday October 10th and he came out immediately for an estimate. He was very professional and we contracted with him mid-week. He began the project On Tuesday 10/20 and completed on Friday 10-/23. He works with his wife and they are very NEAT. I would recommend them and we will use them to paint our family room after the holidays.

When I called, Hennessey got back to me very soon and we scheduled work for our master bedroom. They were on time and everything they said they were going to do got finished. They cleaned up and even vacuumed my air ducts and under the bed! I will be scheduling them for more work soon. Don't hesitate to use Gary and Marie. I have been in this house 33 years and they have been the best painting contractor I have ever contracted.

Gary and his wife Maria worked for 6 days in my home. Gary has a friend, Al that helps partime in painting and moving furniture around. They were prompt to report everyday at 9:00am. They were very friendly and professional. Always covered critical areas: floors, furniture, cabinets. Maria, taped woodwork and removed and replace electrical faceplates and cleaned up all messes made during the day's activity. Day one, they started in the familyroom painting and Gary started the repairs and patching in the kitchen. The familyroom ceiling and walls were finished and furniture was put back in place. Day two, they painted the ceiling and walls of the familyroom hallway and painted the ceiling in the kitchen along with finish work on the repair in the kitchen. Day three, painted the kitchen walls and stripped the wallpaper in the foyer. Day four, painted the master bedroom ceiling and walls. Washed down the stripped walls. Day five, started to repair the walls of the foyer and painted the 14' ceiling. Day 6 finished the repairs of the foyer wall, primed and painted the walls. With all that was done, my home was not turned upside down. There was minimal distruption of my home during the painting.

He did an excellent job and completed it within a couple days. Gary even said he would come back to patch up some work after we got our electrical work done in the bathroom. We need to call him to come back to this still. We would hire him again and will be doing so very soon.

My wife and I are very pleased with the work done by Gary, Maria and Al. This is the third time Gary has done work for us. In my opinion Gary is a master painter. He takes personal pride in the work he does. His prep work is flawless and the finished job is always clean-lined and professional. Both Gary's estimate of the time needed to complete the work and the cost of the work were "right on." Gary and his team were focused, respectful and considerate. I've worked with other painting contractors and can say from experience that the Hennessy's are head and shoulders above the competition.

You can't even tell we had wallpaper on the one wall. Gary did a terrific job. He got the entire job done in three days. He was very clean. You could not even tell he was there at the end of the day.

I was very indecisive on what paint color I wanted and Gary was very patient and even changed the color mid-way through when I changed my mind. Gary was so accommodating when it came to working around my schedule, and called me often to make sure I was happy with the progress. Gary's work was impeccable and he always cleaned up after himself. Gary made it so easy to get this project done. He coached me through the type of paint I should use, he bought the paint on my behalf, completed the painting in a timely manner and even helped me fix a closet door that was broken! I highly recommend Gary for any painting project you may have. I plan on hiring Gary soon for another painting project I have.

Called Gary while we were in the middle of our kitchen remodel to come out and take a look. Gave us an estimate for painting (no wall repair) of $1,200 plus materials. Called Gary back probably 3 months later and he still had all our information. Asked him if he could take on the repairing of the bathroom wall from wallpaper being removed. He said yes. Ran into issues with the stairwell (wallpaper that had been covered with paint that need to be fixed). Gary spackled and sanded and it came out great. It obviously turned into a big job. I am thankful we just spent the extra money to have Gary handle it as we would have made a mess. Gary did a great job. Worth every penny.

He did an EXCELLENT job repairing many old dents and dings, as well as preparing walls after removing wallpaper. They were a mess when he started. The job was very well done and exceeded my expectations. All repair work is undetectable. They cleaned up each day and finished the job on time, as estimated. I would call them again if any work needed to be done.
