Ground Breakers Landscaping and Demolition

We are in our 80’s and decided we needed to make our flower beds smaller and more manageable. At this time, we had at least 15 large beds and they were all full of weeds. Since we could no longer maintain these beds, we started searching for a landscaping company that could take care of all this for us. We went through a website called Angi and found several names to choose from. We selected Ground Breakers Landscaping & Demolition. The owner of this business is Sean Griffin. Sean responded immediately, gave us an estimate, we accepted, and he went straight to work. Not only did he and his crew do what we paid for (edging, mulching, weeding, planting grass where needed), they went above and beyond (to make everything look good), mulching around our trees, cleaning out an area of our backyard and putting in mulch and gravel, and made our fire pit area very nice. After showing us what he could do, we hired him to clean out an overgrown area along our driveway and he did an exceptional job with that as well. We are very pleased with Ground Breakers Landscaping & Demolition, especially with Sean. He is a very knowledgeable and caring individual who goes above and beyond what is expected of him. We purchased flowers from Sean, at a discount, Everything is just what we expected, and more. We will be having him, and his crew come back monthly to do the upkeep on our gardens.

The front yard looks great-- well landscaped. The mulch in the back yard also looks good. The yard looks very well manicured.

Sean is a predator and a con artist who doesn't possess an ounce of integrity. He never shows up when he says he will, just when he feels like it. He didn't do the work he was contracted to do after he bullied me into paying up front and then disappeared with my money. Still hasn't refunded me. Stay as far away from this crook as you can.

Prompt service and completed the job right away

DO NOT HIRE. Sean is extremely unprofessional and lazy. He was to remove some bushes, weeds, and place fabric down to prevent the weed growth. First off he began working on removing a stump in our front yard that we had not agreed to get removed. We had not signed a contract or anything. He began working without informing anyone that he was on our property. My husband just so happened to hear a noise outside and went out to see that there was a huge hole in the front of our yard. He removed only a portion of the weeds in the backyard and put down lousy fabric and did not smooth out the dirt beneath (as seen in the photos). While working on the yard, he failed to communicate with my husband or I which led to him using our neighbor’s driveway without permission. He left our home for hours before coming back to complete his job. We had no idea where he went or if/when he was to return. He tried to knock down a branch from one of our trees to “help” and instead of completing the task he left the limb dangerously hanging off the tree. My husband had to run out the door to catch him and see what he was going to do about it while he was packing his equipment up ready to pull off our property. (In our minds he would’ve left without saying anything.) As he and my husband proceeded in conversation about a solution he continued to make excuses “well I don’t have a ladder on me” “it’ll take too long for me to go get one” and a bunch of other things to prevent from committing to finishing the job. Later, he texted us to say that he could contribute $100 towards getting the job complete and failed to act on his word. He continued to make excuses and eventually stated he doesn’t owe us anything. (The darker messages are between he and I, then the lighter messages are between he and my husband). There are many other things that occurred within this unprofessional transaction. PLEASE REFER TO PICTURES FOR EVIDENCE!!! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! They should be removed from this site. They are completely fraudulent.

It was great. They have a good service. They were very professional. They checked whether everything was okay.

Work was done on time, within my budget. Very happy with results.
