Excellent job. Ron was extremely prompt in his return call. He came out quickly to given an estimate and performed all work very professionally. Most importantly, he knows what he is doing with gas lines. I quickly learned from him that gas lines and gas fireplaces require someone that is an expert and Ron is just that. Safety is first and foremost on his mind and not selling you something you do not need or cannot have.

Multiple services were handled professionally.

I needed to replace the gas log set in my fireplace. Ron gave me helpful information, found a used set and installed it. He arrived early, worked quickly and educated me about gas fireplaces.

Called Ron mid afternoon and he was at our home by 5 pm. He was able to repair a heater that was not staying lit. It works perfectly now. Price was right, he was professional and we would utilize his services again. The kind of service you appreciate because it's no muss, no fuss.

Ron looked at the job and determed that it was best to walk away due the logistics of the conversion. We appreciated his honesty and time as well as his advice on the water heater and existing gas lines.

I contacted Ron regarding work to my fireplace. Ron was kind of annoyed that I did not have answers to some of his questions.In any event , I advised Ron where I lived and he stated it would be a few days before he could come out due to my location.Ron stated he would call me back that evening. As of this date approximately two weeks later he has not called me as he said he would. If my location was too far for him to travel ...all he had to do was say so.

First off, I have had a to deal with many contractors over the last several years as we have updated our home and know a good one when I see it. There have been many that I have had to call several times just to get them out, to finish a job, or correct a job. I called Gaslite on 10/19 and had to leave a message. They promptly got back to me and listened to my issue with our fireplace (flames were shooting out way too much at the back). Several reasons for my problem were explained, as well as some solutions and cost. I was told he could get out to my area in the next couple of days at my convenience. He called the next morning and came within 1/2 hour. He was courteous, neat, thorough and explained things clearly. It turned out I had nothing major and he was able to fix the issue quickly. The logs needed to be reset and some sand added. I would most defintely call Gaslite in the future should the need arise. I was very pleased with their responsiveness and quality of service.

We spent $69 on that service. We have a double gas grill and it wasn't working and they completely redid everything and got both sides working perfectly. Their service was absolutely phenomenal. They came exactly when they said they were going to come and were on time. They were amazing and we just loved them and would call them back in a heartbeat for anything. We thought that it was going to cost us about $300 or $400 to fix it, but when it came up to $69 I was in a state of shock, a very pleasant state of shock. We would absolutely recommend them to others. They were just dynamite.

He went through the house to find the gas line and was able to tell me things about the house that I would have never known. He was very knowledgable and helpful.

Ron is dependable and professional. We've always been happy with his work and would definitely recommend him.

I had a leaking water heater, a 50 gallon, natural gas heater which needed replaced. Called atleast 10 companies including Home Depot, Lowe's, Sears, and local vendors too. All of them gave a price for a comparable water heater atleast $ 150-250 more than this company. Spoke to Ron, he was very kind, polite, honest and professional. It is amazing how others are charging so much more for the same product and service! Scheduled appointment with him for the next day, he was right on time, and got the job done efficiently and professionally, he cleaned up after installation and the new heater looks great! Highly recommended.

He and his assistant removed their shoes and corrected the difficulty in short order. He then inspected other areas that I requested and they provided valuable insight and information. Great people to work with and the price was fair. David L. Hein

They did a great job on putting everything needed and changed some for us. The process was quick and they were pleasant to work with. They cleaned everything too, which is a big plus in my opinion.

Was amazed at how Ron could be so patient and help me out for free. i dont meet to many people like this when it comes to business. I almost exicted for when my water heater breaks so I can repay Ron by hiring him to replace or fix it. I would refer anyone to Ron for the services he provides. Good person.

Very pleased with the new grill which Ron recommended and which I researched on line where there were many positive comments. Impressed by his helpful recommendations about our gas lantern and interior gas lines. Pleasant, professional and knowledgeable.

They came out within 2 hours after I called them. Ron and his assistant were very nice. They went straight to work, and they fixed the problem within an hour. Their price was excellent. They left everything in good order. I would recommend this service to anyone. I will call them before I let my husband try to fix a grill problem again.

I discovered our hot water heater had blown at 8:30 this morning (a Sunday!). Called Ron immediately. On the phone he calmly talked me through the steps of turning off the gas and the water (it was leaking all over) and collected information about what our hot water needs are in order to determine what new tank would suit us best. He was here before 11:00am and our new 50 gallon Rheem water tank was in place and working before 12:30 (total = 4 hours!) What can I say? Ron turned a Sunday morning tragedy into a (almost) beautiful experience! Ron knows his business. He asked all the right questions, responded to our needs and did the job in record time! Remember, this was an emergency job on Sunday morning! He didn't charge any extra either. If your hot water tank goes, you MUST call Ron at Gaslite!

My water tank was 20 years old, and I was overdue for a new one. I was able to schedule the work with Ron at Gaslite within a couple of days. This was not an emergency, but Ron was willing to come out the day I called, which was good to know. Ron was very knowledgeable, and I trusted him to do what was needed in order to get some things up to date. They were done with the job in a little over an hour. I wouldn't hesitate to call Gaslite in the future!

They came out SUPER fast (literally one hour after I called since they were in the area). The two guys were very polite and quick workers. They had to install a shutoff value in addition to installing the logs since our fireplace didn't have one, so it cost us a little more. This wasn't a problem, and they handled it very nicely. The install went a little rough since they said that some of the parts didn't come with the unit that I bought. So they had to get gas line pipe pieces from their truck to make the unit work in our (very small) fireplace. That was helpful. But, they couldn't get the variable remote control to work. They identified that the remote battery was basically dead. And they called the remote control company to work out the problem. They decided that we had a faulty unit, and should ask the company I bought it from (on the Internet with no tax and no shipping costs by the way) to just replace it. After the Gaslite guys left (and yes, they did an excellent job of cleaning up afterward), I called the company later that night to ask for a replacement part based on the recommendation I got. BUT...just for fun, I went up to Walgreen and got the special battery the remote needed, and replaced it, along with other AA batteries that another part needed (which I assumed were probably also dead). I spent another hour reading all the instructions, and found out that the wires were hooked up incorrectly (which Gaslite said might be the case, but they didn't have experience with that kind of variable flame-height remote controller). So after replacing all the batteries, and electronically linking the remote with the fireplace electronic controller, and rewiring the connection (and two hours later after all was said and done), I got it all working fine. So this is a long story that might help someone else in the future. Gaslite guys are fast and courteous, have great prices for labor and parts that you won't get anywhere else (we checked), and they are very honest. So although we had a little mishap, overall I would use them again for more standard things that they handle - like water heaters, or gas grills, etc. Or maybe even buy an entire gas log set from them in the first place, that they already know about in detail from the start, then you'd probably have a perfect-10.

Had pretty high expectations based upon other member comments, but Ron and his crew (Ron and 1 other worker) met or exceeded all of them. I was able to schedule them with just a few days notice, they arrived on time, were polite, worked efficiently, and, despite a more difficult installation than they had planned, stuck to the original estimate. I would use them again and recommend them to all of my friends.

Since I was calling around to find someone to repair a gas leak and the gas company had shut off our gas because of the leak, I needed Ron to tell me whether or not he could come over that day. He said that he was really busy and was unsure if he could make it. When I pressed him to tell me yes or no, he hung up on me.

It went very well. I comparison shopped - and Ron Pickering (owner of Gaslite) sold me the same MHP grill installed for a price approximately $250 less than a local specialty store I received a quote from. Ron and another gentleman came out within a week of my order [exactly on schedule] and did the job. Quality of installation was excellent and they left the work area spotless when they left. I am very happy with the grill itself, and of course, with Ron for the great price and service. Would definately do business with Gaslite again.
