Was impressed by the simple things. When he removed artificial logs to look at the unit, he used a bucket that was wiped down before it was brought in the house and put down on my new carpet.

When I call Ron answered the phone. He walked me through the process and explained how everything worked step-by-step. I was able to relight the pilot and now know how to manage it should this happen again. He was awesome through the entire experience and everything was handled with two phone calls so the service was free. I think that with what we were dealing with it would have been very easy for someone to have come out, charged us for looking at it, and putting in a bogus fix. Ron didn't do that. I would use him every time.

Ron and his worker spent a long tome and, as Ron was telling me it was toast, the worker got it working. Ron explained that there was a small chance of finding the worn out part and would I want it if he ever ran across one. You betcha was my immediate response. The following week, Ron called and wanted to know if it would be okay if he stopped by to install the part! He wanted no further payment either. The grill works perfectly now.

Ron came the same day I called him. Checked my grill out thoroughly for 1 1/2 hours only to discover that the problem was with faulty safety switches on the Blue Rhino propane tanks.....not my grill. For all of his time and use of his equipment he only charged me for a simple service call! I will call him and use his services for any repairs I need.

He spent over an hour to determine if they could install a new gas line for a new cook top. While they were here they were able to fix some other things. He was extremely professional, went the extra mile, and just did great work.

I was having some problems and concerns regarding my fireplace with the pilot, gas mechanisms, and operation. I called Ron and he came out the next day after calling me the night before as promised! Not only did he do a superb job with the fireplace and another problem he discovered while checking the gas lines in the basement, he took his time to educate me about the fireplace and everything concerning proper and safe operation. He is truly very professional, courteous, knowledgable, and helpful in his approach and work. I would not hesitate to call him again. Job well done in all respects!

Contact with Ron was great. I called him Monday morning and the job was finished by noon on Tuesday. I gave him my job requirements and he had some good suggestions. From the start I could tell that Ron cared about the quality of his work. I wanted two lines run a terminated to places where I want to have a portable emergency vent-free heater. At each point he needed input he asked to make sure I was OK with it. The plumbing work was clean and sturdy. Ron and his workmate were very professional and punctual. They were even careful to do the messy pipe fitting in the grass vs on my new driveway. I even asked him to check on a rusty valve and line that was attached to my meter and no longer used. He fixed it up nicely right before he left. Ron offered to also be consulted if I had any issue hooking up the heater once I got all the connecting parts. Would definitely use him again.

It turns out I was outside the range of the provider but he was very helpful on the phone and was able to recommend a company closer to my house. If I lived in his area I would have definitely used his services.

we had an inground grill that would not heat high enough. Called Gaslite who had just left berea or they would have come right away, said it might be a couple of days but was the next day. He noticed that the gas inlet was too small, not letting enough gas in. He changed the pipe size, changed the temp gauge and we now get over 400 degrees easily and quickly where previously we could only get 300.

He came out and took about a half hour to check things out. I received an estimate that was more than I could afford (I do not know the going rates for this type of work, so I can't assess if the estimate was high or average). Therefore, I decided not to have the work done.

I called Gaslite after reading reviews on Angie's List. Ron was very pleasant, asked me about the problems, and told me he would call me once they had their schedule set. Within a few days, Ron called to say they would be in my area the following day. Ron and his associate arrived right on time. They were very friendly and professional. They took apart the grill efficiently, identified and repaired two leaking areas, and reassembled the grill. They informed me that the grill became damaged due to getting to hot and gave me advice on minimizing the overheating of the grill. They inspected our gas light which we had turned off over 10 years ago when we moved in. They found that there were some problems with the way it was installed and it would have been a major repair to make it operational. Since we did not care for the light anyway we decided to just remove it, which they did. They cleaned up the work area perfectly, and the fee for their work was very reasonable. I cannot emphasize enough how professional and pleasant they were to deal with, and I would feel confident in using them again for any of the services they provide.

Like most hot water heaters, they can break down and flood your home in the middle of the night and you have no hot water in the morning. Ron immediately answered the phone when we called at 8:30AM. He asked questions about size of tank, model type, etc and then showed up within just a few hours with a new tank. The work was done quickly. Afterwards, we mentioned having a problem with the right side of the gas grill. We did not mention this problem when we called that morning. He had the tools on hand and was happy to make some necessary adjustments so that we could cook on both the right and left side of the grill again. All of this work was done and he was on his way home by noon! Like before, I was extremely impresssed with Ron's promptness and level of service. This guy is a pro and I would highly recommend his services.

I really can't say enough good things about Ron. He is terrific! He came out to our area (a ways away from his home base), on a moment's notice, fixed our leaky gas line, and ordered and installed a new gas log set for us in time for Thanksgiving - which was beyond my expecations and we were really extremely pleased. He went above and beyond to get this done for us, even though I told him it wasn't necessary and we'd lived without a fireplace this long, we could do it for longer! When he first came out, I was a little late and he was already out there in the cold taking a look and seeing what needed to be done, and already had all his tools out to start the repairs. He had to dig holes to get those valves replaced, because they were underground. Brrrr. (I always appreciate people whose jobs require working outside in the cold or heat!) He then made recommendations on what we could do about our existing log set (which was ugly, and not very functional) at my request. He gave us some options to look at online (or said we could go to some local dealers to see) for new log sets, but there was no pressure to buy anything from him at all. He really is the kind of guy you can ask for an opinion and be assured that you are getting a straight answer without any bias. We did some comparing of prices that night, and decided on a really nice new log set, and decided that a little extra money for the nicer one was worth it. He ordered the new set on Friday, and it came in on Monday - he called and was out that day to install the new set. He explained everything in detail, and answered all of my many questions - he is just a pleasure to deal with, and I feel is a very honest, trustworthy and hard-working person. It was a wonderful experience.

He came for an estimate for what we were wanting to do. He researched and advised that it would be much more expensive and we might not be happy with the end result. He was very honest and trustworthy. If we ever decide to do the job, I'm going to have him do it.

Ron and Tom were excellent. They knew their trade and were very professional. They called to confirm and arrived early. They showed me where the shut off valves were located in my basement for safety and the main gas shut off for the home. I would highly recommend them any time and will use them again.

In less than 24 hours from my call to Gaslite, the total experience was very satisfactorily completed. Following my first and only call to Gaslite (Ron Pickering), I received a response (within 1 hour), and after speaking with Mr. Pickering describing the malfunction, he stated he knew exactly what was wrong with the grill. I received a second call from him (within another hour) what time he would be at my home the next morning. He and his co-worker arrived on time and got right to work, fixing problems with in-ground natural gas grill. Assembly was dismantled, parts replaced (burner) and related repairs and cleaning as needed.
