 + -1 moreMember update: Mr. Gilmore gave us a good faith estimate that he assured us would be within $100 dollars of the actual payment. This estimate was INCLUDING the taxes. I would think that being in that business he would know how to get the tax rate for a given city. Later when my wife told him he lied to us he said he would at bare minimum get our PMI dropped. Additionally when they sent their ?appraiser? he did nothing but walk from the foyer through the hallway to the kitchen. When I asked if he would like to see some of the rooms we had re-done he said ?no? and left. Obviously the appraisal was nothing but a charade to try to appease us. Our house definitely did not lose value since we moved in. The fact is, Mr. Gilmore lied to us repeatedly and would not return phone calls. Interesting that he responded to Angie?s List so quickly but hadn't returned our phone calls for months. It?s companies like his that are causing home foreclosures.
Description of Work: I received a good faith estimate and was told that my mortgage should not exceed that. It was $400 more per month. He told us our house was appraised higher than we bought, so we would be able to refinance. Had to go to the office to get my appraisal, and it was about 40 thousand lower than he had told us. Couldn't refinance, He said he would help with it. He said minimum, we will get rid of our PMI. He then stopped returning phone calls. It seems like he said whatever he needed to to get us off the phone. After trying the corporate office, they would not return my call either.
