We didn't use him because a family member of ours was going to be in town and is a roofer. Mr. Varga was professional, honest, does quality work. His standards were high and he said he would either do the work the right way or not at all. His price matched the quality of the work. We would use him again if our cousin isn't in town!

It went very well - Sandor followed up my call promptly, looked over the whole area ( we were having leaks around both chimneys) and gave me a written quote. He called to schedule the work and showed up when he said he would. We also had issues with carpenter ants in one chimney and he worked with our exterminator to take care of the issue. We continued to have a leak around one chimney and Sandor came back and worked with us to determine that the issue was the chimney top mortar condition rather than the roofing. He covered the chimney with a tarp for us until we could get the mortar re-done. He was great - recommend him highly.

The price was right on our budget. We received a call from them one week later and they finished the job four days after the phone call. This was the third roofer to come out and give us an estimate. The first guy said, we needed a whole new roof with new skylights($9,000), the second guy said he could put a large patch ($750), but Mr. Varga showed me where the cracks were and said I could probably do it on my own. He showed me the products in his truck that he uses (two items and a trowel), and told me to call him back if it didn't work. I bought the materials for under $20, patched the roof myself and I'm thrilled! It was no harder than frosting a cake. There hasn't been any leaking. I appreciate his honesty and would use him for future problems in a heartbeat.

He specializes in tile and slate roofs. We are in a historic district so we have to use an architectural shingle roof. He sent us to a house that he had done with exactly the same roof I wanted, but his estimate was a lot higher than anybody else s. The way he wanted to do our flashing wasn t up to my husband s standards. I would use him if his quote wasn t so high, except we would have had him do the ice guards the way we wanted. He did a whole drawing of the house with all the measurements and left that in with his estimate. He was very prompt, courteous and nice. He was very good, very thorough. He was very professional. They were on vacation when the proposal came to them, so he called and said he didn t know if he could get the estimates in time for our deadline, but he d love to still come out and give one to us. They called us as soon as they were back from vacation.

Scheduled date and he came out too early and missed him. Left a note that he would send an estimate in the mail. Never received it. Then called to say was in an accident and suggested to call someone else because he was unable to do so.

I called Exact Roofing as soon as I was noticed the leak, in mid May. Exact Roofing, Mr Varga, returned my call that evening and the next week I had a written estimate. When I contacted him to tell him he had the job, he gave me an early June start date, weather permitting. He called me at work the second Thursday in June to say he was at my home, beginning the job, if that was okay. I gave him permission and he gave me his cell phone number if I wanted to contact him. When I got home, I noticed a ladder on my ridgeline...and that Mr. Varga had indeed began flashing a chimney-but the wrong one! (I have 2 chimneys-the smaller one is for my heating system.) I called his cell immediately and 10 minutes later, he called back. He said there was a misunderstanding and he would begin work on the other chimney, for the same price he originally quoted me. I was willing to pay him, as my budget allowed, for the work/materials on the other chimney, but he was adamant it was not necessary. When he'd finished the job, he told me to call him any time if there was a problem. There have been no leaks since his repairs. He is a craftsman; the copper flashing is almost a work of art!!

I left Sandor a message Monday afternoon because a fallen branch broke some tiles on our clay tile roof. He called back within a couple hours and said he'd be out early Wednesday morning. I was very pleased with the quick response time. Because Sandor and his partner have worked on our roof before, they brought materials with them and replaced the tiles Wed morning. They made a quick trip to the supply store to get a few more and the job was done. The price was excellent. When we needed work done on the roof previously, we got several bids and Exact Roofing's price per tile for tile replacement was the lowest by a good stretch. It hasn't gone up since then. I can't say enough about this company. Older clay and slate tile roofs are so lovely, functional, and environmentally friendly, but you do need someone with specialized knowledge to work on them. Exact Roofing really knows their way around tile and copper and the workmanship is top-notch. That combination of specialized expertise and a reasonable price is unbeatable. I love knowing exactly who to call if we need roof maintenance or repairs. We couldn't be happier with this company and recommend Exact Roofing most highly, both for major replacement of copper roofs and valleys (which we had done before) and minor replacement of cracked clay tiles. They can do it all and they do it beautifully.

Had a roof problem that no one has been able to solve. This company responded immediately and showed up at my house within 3 hours of the initial call. They were very professional and honest in their assessment of what would need to be done to fix the leak on our roof - absolutely no slick sales pitch. They made some initial repairs and told me to check back with them once we have another heavy downpour before going ahead with a more extensive (and expensive) repair. I recommend them highly.

They are doing a marvelous job. They are one of the few companies that actually did tile roofing. They have reasonable prices. They were the lowest bidder. They were on time.

Consistent with my prior experience, Sandor was very prompt, pleasant, and professional. He did a quick inspection and confirmed my suspicions. He then showed up a couple of weeks later to do the work, as he said he would. By total coincidence, I came home from work early that day, and he was working on the roof. I didn't ask him to do it, but he came down to greet me, gave me an update on things, and showed me the materials he was using (the membrane, in particular). He was finished by the end of the day and cleaned up entirely. Had I not stopped home unexpectedly, I wouldn't have known he was there. I have had a couple of hard rains since, and I haven't noticed any leak. Sandor told me he would come back at any sign of trouble, and I believe him. I'm presuming we won't have to do go down that road.

Followed up promptly after initial call. Was able to schedule appointment for estimate quickly, accommodating my limited schedule. My main reason for contacting them was to repair the roof, which was leaking in spots. It is very difficult to find someone who is knowledgeable and works on this type of roof. While discussing the repairs, I expressed interest in replacing the gutters and downspouts with copper (their business focuses on slate & tile roofs and installation of copper). He said he would repair the roof at no charge if I had the copper work done. When I received the estimate a couple days later, I was pleasantly surprised. The quote was similar to one I had several years ago, before the escalating price of copper. I agreed to have the work done and he was able to schedule the work the following week. He was courteous in every way - returning calls quickly and answering any questions. The job only took a couple of days. They arrived on time, worked neatly and quietly and hauled away old materials. He even replaced other broken tiles at no charge. He offered to inspect the roof at no charge in the future for any problems and called a few weeks later to see if I was satisfied. Would highly recommend.

During the estimate, Sandor was good enough to patch a leak in the roof with some flashing before we had hired him. His estimate was very reasonable and he worked to accommodate our roof in his schedule as quickly as possible because of the leaks. Throughout the process, Sandor and the other workmen were professional, personable and efficient. They returned calls despite the busy season, came when they said they would and clearly knew their craft. They matched the replacement slate tiles to the existing roof and the job was completed very quickly despite the interference of weather and the varying sizes of slate tiles on our roof. We intend to use them for on-going maintenance now that they have fixed the major issues on our roof because they were so wonderful to work with and because our roof is winter-ready and looks great!
