Everything was great overall

It started off ok but the installers said that they had the wrong liner. They got another and installed it. One of the main selling points was the butyl rubber strip adhesive to be used would bond the plastic liner firmly to the old tub. It doesn't! Also the installers removed another vertical row of ceramic tile and placed a trim piece along the wall section. When they did this, they took off one side of the toilet roll retainer and now it seems lost forever so now we have nothing. Additionally they left silicone glue on the glass panels of the shower door. We never had a sign off with the lead installer. Also, there was a plumbing problem with the tub drain that took the weekend to resolve, but seems OK now.

I'm pleased with the carpet and the installation went very well. What I didn't like was having to negotiate a price for everything, which was a little high pressure for my liking.

I finally broke down and called the phone number in the ad. My wife and I have been very happy with Home Depot in the past but figured that I should at least get an estimate. (FYI Home Depot is the largest flooring co in the country)I called and spoke to what had to be the nastiest, most obnoxious, little witch I have ever had to tolerate. After about the 100th question I realized that this is nothing more then another one of ''those'' incredibly high-pressure in home sales companies. I could not believe how rude this woman was. I should have checked Angie's List 1st but as soon as I did I got a very clear picture how Empire works. You have to apply for their credit card if you want the promoted pricing. We went to Home Depot and happened to walk in on a 20% off sale on flooring! I went to Giant Eagle and got gift cards (Fuel Perks) saved a TON of money and we are very happy once again. The moral: Try Home Depot for flooring. Good Luck!

The sales experience was wonderful. The sales staff and estimate service from the first call I made to setting up our financing was efficient and painless. My father stayed at the house for the install while my husband and I were at work, and my father said that the installers did a great job (the carpet looks great). The only part that I was not happy with was the inability of the install coordinators to give me a better time frame (they said between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.)of what time they would arrive. It all worked out OK, but that large window caused some rushing around and stress that I really did not need to be dealing with.

The carpet looks good, but I felt that I was rushed into deciding on a carpet too quickly. Because I was rushed, I'm not comfortable with the carpet I have. There is one little section that I can see the staples used to install it.

Installers were professional, but friendly and very competent. The sales process did leave me a tad confused. Not sure how much we paid per square foot, plus once salesman knew we didn't want to get the promotional pricing/credit told us the only way to pay was by certified check. The list here says all CC's are accepted, so I am questioning that now. Carpet itself looks wonderful and was indeed installed next day as promised. Would definitely hire again, but this time get a clearer picture of price/yard and payment options.

I wouldn't use them again. The attitude of the installer was awful. There was no communication between the sales and installation aspects of the business. They never told us we had to move the furniture, they had told us they would do it. I would never use them again.

The salesman was very nice and easy to work with, as was the installer. The overall experience was very positive.

DESPITE SEVERAL PHONE CALLS AND MESSAGES, THEY NEVER CALLED ME BACK. I ONLY KEPT CALLING BECAUSE I WAS INTERESTED IN THEM COMING TO MY HOUSE TO VIEW SAMPLES AND THEIR NEXT DAY INSTALLATION. NO SAMPLES AND NO INSTALLATION BECAUSE THEY NEVER CALLED BACK!

EMPIRE WAS PROMPT AND REASONABLE. THE CARPET LOOKS GREAT. WE HAD TO DO A BIT OF NEGOTIATING ON THE PRICE, BUT IT CAME TO BE NOT MUCH MORE THAN WE WERE HOPING TO PAY. I HIRED THEM PRIMARILY BECAUSE OF THE SPEED AT WHICH WE COULD GET THE NEW CARPET IN THE HOUSE AND THEY DELIVERED AS PROMISED.

VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE. THE SALESMAN WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL, BROUGHT SAMPLES. I THOUGHT THEY WERE WONDERFUL. THE ONE PROBLEM THAT OCCURRED WAS TAKEN CARE OF RIGHT AWAY WITH NO HASSLE.

PECULIAR BUT LIKEABLE SALES GUY, THEY REALLY DO COME THE NEXT DAY AND INSTALL THIS. INSTALLATION GUYS WERE EXCEPTIONALLY NICE AND CLEAN AND THEY MOVED 3 BEDS, DRESSERS, TABLES ETC AND PUT IT ALL BACK. IT REALLY WAS KIND OF IMPRESSIVE. NOT THE GREATEST SELECTION BUT THEY COME TO YOUR HOUSE AND IT REALLY IS IDIOT PROOF DOING IT THIS WAY. WILL USE AGAIN SOMEDAY.

VERY HAPPY WITH THE JOB. WOULD SUGGEST DISCUSSING THE STYLE OF CARPET YOU WANT WHEN SCHEDULING THE CONSULTATION SO THAT SALESPERSON CAN BRING OUT A GOOD SELECTION OF CARPETING TO CHOOSE FROM. THOUGHT THAT THE INITIAL PRICING WAS QUITE HIGH AND NEGOTIATED A LOWER PRICE WITH SALESPERSON. FEEL THAT I PAID A LITTLE MORE THAN I WANTED TO BUT QUITE SATISFIED OVERALL. WOULD RECOMMEND TO OTHERS!

THE SALESMAN WHO CAME TO THE HOUSE WAS ARROGANT, COCKY AND OFFENDED THAT I ASKED SO MANY QUESTIONS. HE WAS OBVIOUSLY HURRYING THROUGH THE PROCESS AND SEEMED DISINTERESTED AT EVEN BEING AT MY HOUSE. THE QUOTE HE GAVE ME WAS CALCULATED IN HIS HEAD BEFORE I EVEN CHOSE MY CARPET! WHEN I ASKED HOW HE KNEW WHICH CARPET I WOULD CHOOSE, HE CHALKED IT UP TO EXPERIENCE. I ASKED FOR A WRITTEN ESTIMATE AND HE SAID ''NO, WE DON'T DO THAT'', SO I BECAME SUSPICIOUS. EMPIRE ADVERTISES NEXT DAY INSTALLATION AND WHEN I ASKED IF THE CARPET WAS AVAILABLE FOR NEXT DAY INSTALLATION, THE HIGH PRESSURE SALES PITCH STARTED. HE SAID I HAD 15 MINUTES TO MAKE MY DECISION. ALSO KNOWING THAT OTHERS HAD NEGOTIATED PRICES, HE INSISTED THAT I COMMIT TO AN ORDER IMMEDIATELY BEFORE HE WOULD DISCUSS OTHER PRICES. I TOLD HIM I DIDN'T CARE FOR HIS BUSINESS PRACTICES AND ASKED HIM TO LEAVE! I FOUND IT INTERESTING THAT I COULDN'T GET A WRITTEN ESTIMATE, BUT HE WAS READY TO WRITE UP MY ORDER RIGHT AWAY!

THEY BROUGHT SAMPLES TO US. THEY BUNDLED EVERYTHING UP AND TOOK IT OUTSIDE FOR US. I HAD A VERY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE WITH THEM. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND CAME WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD.

EXCELLENT WORK, SATINY, BEAUTIFUL, VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE, PERFECTIONIST, I THOUGHT HE WAS A LITTLE HIGH, BUT WORK WAS EXCELLENT

TORE OUT CARPET - CLEANED UP AND PUT OUT TO BE PICKED UP - STRIPPED, SANDED AND RE-FININSHED LIVING RM, DINNING, BEDROOMS, HALLWAY - EXCELLENT! PROFESSIONAL, PROMPT! DID WHAT HE SAID HE WAS GOING TO DO! VERY PLEASED!

HE DID A TERRIFIC JOB REFINISHING OUR HARDWOOD FLOORS!
