Elie's Plumbing

We had some water hammering going on in our house for a few weeks. I called Elie up on a Sunday evening; he was over the next day and called before he came. He was able to quickly solve the problem with just a turn of his wrench. Although I probably should have been able to solve the problem myself it was really nice to have Elie come. Because he was here so short he did not even charge us for the visit; instead he simply asked that we write a nice review on Angie's List. We will be using Elie in the future and I hope other people use him as well.

This is the first time Elie has done any work for me. I called Elie's Plumbing to unstop a toilet and fix 2 outdoor faucets because his business is close to where I live, and he had an A+ score on Angie's list. He took the call and called back when he said he would in order to set up a day and time. He came when he said he would. A few days before, I had accidentally dropped a sponge in the toilet and couldn't retrieve it. The toilet overflowed when flushed. First he snaked the toilet but couldn't retrieve it. (There were no scratches from the snaking!) Next he removed the toilet and turned it upside down and retrieved the sponge with a wire hanger from the bottom. He re-set the toilet and tightened it down. He left the bathroom clean, and the toilet flushes fine now. Elie also checked the outdoor faucets and said parts of one should be replaced, and the hose on the other one just needed a washer which he gave me. I will definitely call him when I need more plumbing work done and will recommend him to my friends and Angie List members.

Wow! What service! Elie showed up less than an hour after I called him on a Monday morning. After showing him the drain he got to work. After snaking it once he found no obstruction and we asked me other questions about the drain. Finding the drain was better but still slow, he snaked with a bigger coil, used his vacuum, and stuck his hand down the waste pipe to remove debris. He was here for at least an hour and the cost was $120 less the $10 Angie's discount. Elie is very friendly, clearly competent, and addressed my issues quickly. He will be my go-to plumber.

We had two clogged drains: a bathroom sink and tub drain. He came out the same day I called, and snaked both drains. Now the drains work. It took him between 45 minutes and an hour to get them both done. We have used Elie before, and he has been a pleasure to work with. We'll use him again.

Elie came out to give me a quote on splitting out some plumbing lies to separate the cold water service for the two units in my duplex. Elie's quote came in under everyone else. His work was top notch and he even included the installation of a frost free sill c*** at no extra charge because he thought it would make things easier for the tenants! Elie is the only plumber I will use going forward.

This is the second time I have called on Elie for service in a couple years. When I needed help this time, I called him immediately. He hits the three points we all hope for when we need service: 1) On time and available when I needed him 2) Fast, expert service 3) Really reasonable prices I called him last night and he was able to meet me today after I got home from work. He not only fixed my incredibly leaky pipe, he installed a missing part that will make my life easier. He accomplished it literally in about 10 minutes.....and for about half of what I was expecting to pay. And just being a nice guy to chat with doesn't hurt either : )

It went great! No fuss no mess. It went quite smoothly. I did not have to go out and buy a new faucet. His honesty and knowledge of the product allowed me to get parts under warranty.

Mr. Elie cleaned my bathroom clogged sink drain and next to it - the shower drain just in case. He called to be a little late but I'll not hold it against him, man has obviously lot of satisfied customers. Work was done fast, professionally, Mr. Elie is very pleasant person to deal with, I'll definitely call him in the future with all my plumbing problems and advise all clogged drain sufferers to do the same. After my old plummer I used for 25 years retired, from now on I'll have Mr. Elie as my permanent contractor. Thanks for great job.

I have a bathroom in a 1920s home with a drain problem that was fixed promptly and efficiently. In addition a previous plumber had taken out the old drain stopper that had gotten stuck but stated that he could not fix the broken piece that allows the stopper to move up and down. Elie stated he would be able to fix this but would need to order a part. In addition I had him take a look at a drain problem in the basement which Elie said was likely due to my main sewage line which he was quite helpful in helping me solve the problem at the best cost for me. As he was leaving the basement he noticed my radiator valve was leaking which I told him was a replacement another plumber had done that didn't work for very long he offered to try one of his free of charge just to see if would work. Definitely a great experience, its refreshing to have someone show up on time, help solve the problem, and not try to overcharge or add unnecessary costs. I will definitely use his company again.

I was getting a gas order in the home from the basement. I had contacted the gas company prior to do an inspection and they found the area of concern was the gas line leading to the dryer and recommended calling a plumber; the gas line to the dryer was turned off at that time. I called Elie and he was available 30 minutes from when I called (that quickly). He came in and inspected the lines: applied liquid to areas to see if leaks were visible and used a gas leak detector. He also checked to see if there was a leak at the shut off for the gas line for the dryer. After the inspection, he found that the line/pipe connection between the bottom elbow and the flexible dryer line was corroded. He also inspected the line from the dryer more closely and found a crack in it as well from age. He needed to leave for an hour to obtain a new dryer line. He returned and both items were replaced. The gas line was turned back on and there was no smell or indication of a leak. Excellent demeanor; great to talk with and worked quickly. Would definitely call again.

He was able to diagnose the part that was broken and fix it. He was very prompt and personable.

I called Elie Monday morning and he said he'd come sometime in the afternoon. He came around the 4 pm hour. With 2 quick trips to his truck, he had the parts to fix my toilet. He removed his shoes each time we went up the carpeted stairs. He did a great job! I love having a plumber I can really rely on that is a good value for my budget. Thank you.

I called Elie plumbing on 11/21 we spoke briefly that morning about what I needed done ,he seemed pleasant. Elie called me back later that afternoon, but to my disappoint he was extremely rude. He asked me if I was looking the lowest price. I replied no. Then he went on to tell me that he would not be the lowest price and not to waste his time if that was all I was interested in. I cut the conversation short at that point because I felt he did not value me as a potential costumer and I did not feel I was being spoken to with the same respect I was giving him. I was surprised to be treated like that after reading so many great reviews on angie's list. That was the reason I called Elies plumbing in the first place, not because I want the lowest price . I thought i would have the same experience,so many others have wrote about on here.

Elie was originally scheduled to come to my house (year built: 1898) to appraise our master bathroom situation, which had led to a leak in our family room. However, this morning when Stack Heating and Cooling came to do seasonal maintenance on our boiler, they found a leaking pipe that they couldn't fix. Thankfully Elie was more than up to the challenge of fixing the pipe, which he did without haste. He also had time to look at the master bathroom (updated in the 1920s) issues we were having. He rebuilt the inside of the toilet and it has stopped leaking! (yeah!) He snaked the sinks and they both work perfectly. I am amazed because we have had them snaked before to no avail. Most importantly, for me, Elie was able to diagnose at least one source of leaking from our bathtub (he showed me the water dripping through the tiles due to the grout deteriorating). The other potential leaking spot will require him to open up the ceiling in the family room (which already has lost all the plaster due to a previous leak), but I was not ready to take this step. I have absolute full confidence that Elie will handle that job beautifully when I'm ready to take that step. Initially I was very nervous about the problems with my plumbing because the home is so old, but the fabulous reviews of Elie's work gave me the confidence to call him. I am so glad I did. He is incredibly knowledgeable and he took the time to explain to me what was happening in my house. He fixed my problems and willingly addressed problems that I had not prepared him for. His work allowed Stack Heating and Cooling to come back, do their next part and get my boiler running during a cold snap. Best of all, I can use my master bathroom sinks and toilet again after a year hiatus! I will definitely use Elie for all my future plumbing needs!

I called Mr. Elie in the morning and he was able to meet me at our house that same day. I initially called him just for the drain cleaning, as we couldn't use our shower, but he also offered to fix the dripping faucet, which was very nice. He was very friendly, efficient, and we haven't had a problem with either the shower drain or the sink since!

He was quick, friendly and professional. It was a pleasure having him do work for us, and we would definitely use him again. He came out on a Sunday for no additional charge.

Mr. Elie came and reviewed what needed to be done and gave me a price. We agreed upon the time he would do the repairs. He arrived when he said he would and performed the required work. Elie rerouted an unused gas line in the basement and ran an extension up to the kitchen. His work was professional, well done, and thoughtful. Clearly he know what he was doing as he used the pipe he removed (cut the pipe to size and retreaded the pipe) to provide the extension to the kitchen. Elie cleaned up all the work space. The project, including the time for the estimate, was a full day's work.

The sink in my small bathroom had been dripping for some time. I called Elie and he came out the same day. I asked how much it would cost to replace the whole faucet & water lines as they are old and didn't even have shutoff valves. He gave me an estimate for that whether I bought the supplies myself or if he got them. He also said he could try to fix the drip without replacing everything. He was able to fix it. I'd definitely hire him again. He was very pleasant and professional.

Mr. Elie came out promptly to take a look at the sink. He tried to unclog the drain with a snake, but could not due to the bend and angle of the pipe, He stated that he would have to replace the drain pipe through the kitchen ceiling. The estimate given was a resonable $300. I later called to set up a date for the job. Elie and his assistant arrived as arranged. Mr. Elie showed me the bent pipe when he uncovered it and after cutting it out he showed all of the toothpaste caps that were jammed in there. They replaced the pipe and the sink is draining fine. Mr Elie kept the job priced as estimated; eventhough i have an older home with thick iron meshed plaster and very old pipes which made the job harder. Elie and his assistant were very courteous and professional, he also fixed my leaking kitchen faucet free of charge. I have recently called him back 9/25/11 to fix two other leaks, which he did in no time flat. I highly recommend Elie's Plumming. .

I am a first-time caller to Elie's Plumbing. I got an immediate response. Within 1hr and 1/2 he was here to fix the tub faucet. Repairs were done immediately, quickly and reasonably. Elie left me being a very happy and pleased customer. I will call definitely call on Elie again and recommend him to my friends.

I called Elie in the morning after discovering a leak under my kitchen sink. He was able to come over later that day and quickly replaced the entire U-bend and pipe into the wall - they had completely corroded. He also fixed my dripping faucet. He and his assistant were very polite, professional, and knowledgeable. They cleaned up and were gone in under an hour. This is the second time I"ve had Elie do work at my house and I recommend him whenever someone mentions plumbing problems.

I called Elie and was happy he personally answered on the first ring. He came to our house just two days after I called him. I had a list of issues I wanted him to investigate, and he diagnosed each one. He also fixed our outdoor faucet with a simple fix. Very efficient.
