Eden Finishing

The first time that he was here, 80% of the work that he did we were completely satisfied with. There was one item that we were dissatisfied with that he came back and took care of it. I would recommend them to others. He was slow to get back to us with the follow up on the area that we were not satisfied with. When we first called him, he returned the call quickly, but then he must have gotten busy so he was a bit tardy on that. Once we got him out, we were satisfied with what he did. I thought the value was good.

I took the rocker in to them, they called when it was finished (1 week.)

It went extremely well. These people were true craftsmen. They saved me the cost of scrapping an old chair that was in great condition except for the defective shaft.

They did a fabulous job and even delivered the finished product to us! Very willing to make sure we were satisfied!!

The hutch has sat in disrepair for nearly 50 years. It looks brand new! It is extremely functional as well as beautiful! The side table which was an ugly color of stain and well worn ...looks new as well. I have used William before and will continue to use him! When he dropped off my things...I sent him back to the shop with another project for me! I have complete confidence in William! He knows his wood, his craft and his stain colors!

They were extremely professional. He came out to our house on a Saturday and listened to all my wife's concerns with the piece. Based on his commentary, it was clear that he was listening to her needs and also really understood antique furniture and wanted to do the job right. He said he'd have it done in about a week and that's what he delivered - everything was perfect.

This is one of, if not the best service I have ever utilized. William is courteous, punctual, and VERY reasonably priced. The items look better than new. When I accidently dented the table shortly after he returned it, he touched up the area for no charge! He also built a stand for our HDTV so that the sound bar sits under the TV. He matched the stain so that it looks like part of the cabinet. If you use any other refinisher, you are missing a real treasure!

They were excellent. Turns out I’ve been going to a place just across the street from them for years and never knew they were there. They are so well hidden. They are fine. They explained to me that they do a lot of the more valuable sentimental physical values, they used to restoring heirlooms.

The job was completely expertly and promptly. It was a pleasure working with Eden.

William and the team at Eden did a beautiful job refinishing and repairing an antique sideboard -it has been in the family 4 generations - so far. The original finish was dark, dirty, crackly -lots of dings and nicks. The hardware was coming undone and looked terrible - one piece was partially missing. The guys came to the house bundled it up and said they would have it back in a week to ten day - I thought 'no way - I've heard that before - I might see it again in 2 or 3 months if I'm lucky.' A week later I got a call; it was done and when could they drop it off. It is beautiful. The finish glows the hardware is polished and repaired - the missing part has been replaced with a similarly shaped piece and matches beautifully - I had to look closely to notice where the replacement is located. They even revealed some inlay that was completely obscured. I am very happy with the work. Since September 2013 they have done several other smaller jobs - all beautifully done with great care and pride. I am currently waiting for them to pick up a table that needs a large dose of TLC - I feel very sure it too will be beautiful after Eden is done with it. The one big note - you must have patience - once they have the piece it takes no time for them to finish, but it can take a while for your turn (but worth having patience).

We had a beautiful dining room table. But after 7 years and four children, it was covered with scratches and dings and stains. Even had a bunch of "spirograph patterns" carved into the top (don't ask!). We were referred to William Eden by another highly regarded Angie's List provider. He gave me a ballpark figure over the phone then came out and looked at our table. He said he had seen worse and gave us a quote for $400. He took our table to his truck. He also took some chairs with him. The chairs were wobbly and he said he could tighten them. Some of the chairs he looked at and said we could just use a screw driver and tighten them in 5 seconds while otherse needed to be re-glued. Will could have taken all the chairs and made a lot of money off of us by doing 5 minutes of work, but he is extremely honest. So he saved us several hundred dollars. We got our table back a few days later. It looked BETTER than when we had purchased it. It was far beyond anything we had expected. Also, our chairs were tight and no longer wobbly. To make matters even BETTER, you cannot even tell that our children own a "spirograph" anymore! We love EDEN FINISHING. He knows what he is doing, he's hard working, and he is really honest. The only bad thing is that he is so good that you are going to have to wait in line for his high quality at a low price approach to business. We had to wait two weeks. But that is only because everybody wants his time! If you have a beautiful table and wobbly chairs from 7 years of wear and tear from children ... this is the guy for you !!!!!!!!!!!!

They are smart, helpful and do simply incredible work. I had no idea that they could restore the pieces the way they did, especially the Mahogany BR set that--stupid me--I was going to trash in connection with a move until an estate broker told me that the pieces were priceless. I cannot understate how good these folks are. You have to be patient because they do have a backup, but once they come and get the piece, they turn it around very expeditiously.

They picked up my tables, refinished them, and brought them to my new house. They were just wonderful.

The first project was to refinish the tops of four living room oak tables. The tables were over twenty years old and the tops were showing some ware from use. The tables were otherwise in great shape and I didn't want to put them on the tree lawn due to the condition of the top surfaces. The color match and finish were returned perfectly. The second project was an office four draw file cabinet I had purchased from an antique shop. The cabinet was in great shape, however I was never satisfied with the finish on the cabinet. The finish was rough to the touch and there was a lot of overspray inside the wooden draws. Eden refinished the cabinet with a smooth finish, color was perfect, overspray was removed. The file cabinet is beautiful. It all went great for me, use these guys! They have even performed pro bono work for me, and no one does that anymore, so they deserve to be rewarded.

Like clock work. Great analysis of the damage and what needed to be done - one section damaged - the entire table plus leaves in closet needed re-finishing also. So, came with a helper, took the table and return it re-finished and beautiful in 1 week as presented.

Excellent!!! Dropped off the chair and it was returned the very next day repaired better than new. The Eden men were very professional and extremely hospitable. Most important they are fantastic at their craft and proficient. A few chocolate chip cookies can seal the deal!!

Oh my gosh, they are amazing! Not only did they remove the white paint, wooden knobs and tacked on cove molding from my great grandfathers dresser, they called to discuss the appropriate handles when they stripped the piece and found the original holes from handles. Honestly, we were thinking of taking this dresser to Goodwill and now it's a showpiece !!! We're thinking about what other furniture we can send to them...

It went wonderfully! The work exceeded my expectations and was completed prior to the date promised. They were very professional and very courteous. I would definitely use again and highly recommend.

After some confusion as to dates of pickup, the table was repaired and put back in service within a week. It was professionally done and at a very reasonable cost. Would definitely recommend them for this type of work. Paul Lund

I called and spoke with someone regarding fixing the reclining mechanism in a chair. The appearance of the recliner matched the loveseat and couch. He said they would be in the neighborhood the following week and he could stop over and look at the chair and give me an estimate. He also said the estimate to fix the chair could be more than the value of the chair. The following week they did not show up so I called and talked to the same person. He said it was not worth it for him or me to pick up the chair and fix it. I told him that it wasn't his business to tell me how to spend my money, and that if I wanted to overspend it was my choice not his. I did not mind spending the money since the chair was part of a matching ensemble. Even though it has been over a year since I dealt with this company I am still p***** off about it.

They did a great job! Small, family run shop, prompt service - got me right in, great price - and had it done in a matter of days, ahead of schedule. Repaired a broken wooden arm on a rocking chair that was a family gift. Broken wood, had to match up stain, etc.

I am just so thrilled! After finding Eden's on Angie's list, I called them. They just happen to be in my neighborhood that day. They came within hours of my call and gave me an estimate after discussing my desires. I wanted the desk to look like it did when my father used it with the hardware on the desk to remain as close to the original look as possible. The mahogany wood had received serious water damage and had areas that where chipped. Not knowing much about furniture refinishing, we were not sure it could be saved. William spoke so knowledgeably about the repairs and made everything sound like it was no big deal. I had him take the desk and chair that day. Everything went just as he said it would. He called and asked if he could return it and he came promptly at the designated time. I just need to save some more money and I will be having them restore some other items I have longed dreamed of having done! I thought the cost was reasonable as it included pick up and delivery. I never had to leave my home. The finished product is just amazing! I AM HOOKED!

Mr. Eden repaired a sofa and refinished a teak dining room table for me. The workmanship was superb and Mr. Eden was most accommodating. The overall experience was very satisfactory, and I give Eden Finishing the highest recommendation.
