My experience with Dish has been horrible. I ordered new service from them on 8/21/12 and was scheduled to have an installer come out on 8/27/12 between noon and five p.m. No one showed up on 8/27 and when I called Dish at 5:15 p.m. to find out what happened, they told me the installer rescheduled my appointment to 9/4, but no one called me to talk about this. I spoke with the first agent at Dish for 20 minutes and then asked to speak to a supervisor because he wouldn't fix this issue. He did not transfer to a supervisor but to another agent named Howard. Howard said there were no notes made in the call and he couldn't even tell who I was working with for the past 20 minutes. I then asked to speak with his supervisor. A woman got on the phone and identified herself as a supervisor and after 30 minutes of placing me on hold for 5 minutes at a time, she agreed to give me one month of credit for free service. She did this because I was going to cancel the install and therefore cancel the new two year agreement. She then rescheduled the install appointment for 9/2/12 after telling me that I would be credited for one month of dish service. A different installer was scheduled for 9/2 and he arrived and installed the DVR without incident. On 9/24/12, I received my new bill and there is no credit for the month of service as promised. I called Dish at 8:15 a.m. and spoke with Tonya (S5N) who told me there were no notes in my record for 8/27. None of the three agents I spoke to documented anything about the call on 8/27 and they certainly did not document the month of free service. She refused to credit my account and I asked to speak with her supervisor, who is Laura (IE). She also refused to give me the credit becuase the service record says nothing in it from 8/27. She can see that I was scheduled for service and that the technician canceled it but no one wrote anything about the calls. This company is extremely unethical that they don't document calls as they happen and they say anything to make sure the sale happens. Now they won't give me the credit and of course, they won't let me out of the contract. I won't be fool again by this company.

They were horrible. When I signed up I was supposed to get a free home entertainment center, which I never got. I was also supposed to get $10 off my bill every month for the first ten months, which I never got. I finally had to report them to the attorney general's office to get my $100 credit. Then when they hooked me up the guy went up on the roof, and every time it rained or the wind would blow, the service would go out. They never followed through with the special or anything. Dish TV has these little sub companies that come out and do little promotions with them and they said they couldn't stand by anything these other companies were doing. That is how they got around the home theater issue, even though it was them selling the product. They turned around and tried to offer me six months free. I told them I didn't want anything to do with their services after that. I would not recommend them.

They were okay and I didn't have any problems with them. I changed to another provider because I got a good deal. They had gone up with their price erratically.

They are over priced. The equipment tends to fail on a regular basis. Rain, snow, or even heavy clouds can cause us to lose signal. We've had to send our box back once or twice. Our remote needed replaced. Things tend to break down and I get the feeling they are sending us refurbished stuff. It's only been a few years and we have had two or three send backs. They take care of it but it get annoying.

The experience has been good.

The price was one of the determining factors on why we choose them.
