DeVites Concrete Leveling

Initially I was going to hire another company but didn’t want holes drilled into my walks and also was told the other company would attempt to shift the walk to tighten the gap in front of the porch. I was concerned that due to the way they planned to level , the results I wanted wouldn’t be possible. I let Rick know they I would like Devites to handle my project and they came out the same day. Due to rain they came out the next day to finish the project. Very happy with the results

Step one was getting someone to call me back and this guy actually did. Nice guy who gave clear estimate on a well put together card that showed examples of his work. I wasn’t 100% what was and wasn’t required by the city and when I got clarification and it turned out there was less work than expected he re-estimated fairly and completed the work promptly. He was honest about what he could and couldn’t do and gave referrals for the things he could not.

Requested quotes from Angie's List and was contacted by three companies. Two of them drill holes in the walkway and pump in a slurry. Their prices were quite a bit higher than Devite's, who does it differently, they lift the slabs up and add material where needed to raise the walkway. This negates the need for a row of holes being drilled and then filled. Rick Devite responded quickly to questions that we had about his methodology. He arrived when he said he would. He explained that he would make saw cuts in existing channels to make it possible to lift the curved walkway. We were concerned about our plants and he assured us that he could work around them, which he did. The lifting process does require removing a narrow strip of turf alongside the walkway to afford access the sections. He replaced the turf when he finished. The job was complicated by a newly installed patio that was a bit lower than it would have been if the walkway had been fixed first. Rick was able to work around this issue despite find a huge unmovable rock under one of the slabs, which made the job harder. Rick's good humor, despite the problems was greatly appreciated. The walkway is now properly aligned and looks great without holes having to be drilled in it. Definitely would use Rick again.

Leveling was done very well. Most of the cracks were filled but not all. Very pleasant and efficient personnel.

Great people! Showed up Early to start the job, worked till they ran out of gravel. Got more and were finished in 5 hours!! Rick and Becky are very nice and professional.

He wanted to start the job the next day and did. They were very professional he removed all roots leveled everything even better than we expected also replaced all the landscape stones along the walk all the grass was all back in order and everything looked GREAT!! We would recommend Devites as they do a great job and are priced very reasonable.

DeVites gave an estimate for the work to be done. We appreciated the fact that no holes would be drilled in the concrete. The slabs were to be raised, leveling would be done underneath and that's exactly what happened. We are very pleased with the finished product and the professional job completed by DeVites at a very fair price.

We had a section of sidewalk adjacent to our garage that had become uneven. We called Rick; he came out the next day to look at the job/give us an estimate and within a day was able to complete our job. Sidewalk is now nice and level and no longer poses a danger.

Really confused. I left him 3 phone messages and also e-mailed through Angie's List, It's been almost 4 weeks. Still with no response. I sent the e-mail message, in case there was an issue with his answering machine, although it did pick up and there was a recording for DeVites. I pursued b/c the company came so highly rated. Maybe he's out ill, or on extended vacation. Disappointed

Rick Devite promptly responded to my phone call and gave me the low estimate for the job. After we awarded Devite's the project, the work was promptly performed. Devite's leveled the walkway and also leveled the public side way in front of the home. In order to level a sidewalk Devite's had to trim the roots of a maple tree.The work that the Company did was excellent and we are very satisfied.
