Dave's Electric

We called him during the day around 10:00 AM in the morning for him to come and look at the job. The idea was to come and take a look and come back another day to fix it. Our appointment was around 6:pm the very evening. He came prepared and since it's a small job he took care of it on the spot. He came on time, took care of the job and the price is very reasonable. I would not hesitate to call him again or refer him to my friends.

Called Dave in the late morning requesting an estimate to have a 240v outlet installed in our garage. He was at the house by early afternoon--on a Sunday, no less--with all of the necessary materials. The job was finished two hours later and looked great; the cost was better than I expected. He was both prompt and courteous. Will use Dave again for any future electrical jobs and would recommend to others!

Dave describes himself as a holistic electrician and that is true. He took the trouble to anticipate all my electrical needs and provided a comprehensive service which was a huge asset as the house required major renovations. Dave was able to start the job just days after I accepted the estimate and worked long days to get the work done a.s.a.p. I would not hesitate in recommending his work.

Dave and his son did fantastic work for my electrical projects. Dave came over and carefully walked through my house assessing my specific project, but also providing a holistic review of my whole house electrical components. This was very much appreciated for my future reference. Dave's estimate was prompt and detailed. He and his son came back over to the house after we agreed on the services in order to verify the work that was to be completed. The work was completed the next day, and the project ended up being more difficult than originally anticipated, but Dave did not increase the price based on the extra time he spent on completing the work. I would definitely recommend Dave's electric.

This could have been a lengthy and expensive process, testing wires and replacing them all day in our home. Instead, Sam figured out within minutes that our security system was engaging the phone line incorrectly. A quick phone call to the security company solved everything. Most technicians would never think of that. He saved us a fortune and got the job done in no time flat.

He is timely, fair priced and did a good job, it wasn't messy or anything. He just did a good job.

They were very good. They called me back back promptly and came out quickly. He gave me advice and an estimate. He then came at the agreed time to do the work and cleaned up well after himself.

Excellent. The work is timely and well done and looks great. Timeliness was also critical because the underground line could not have been installed after the patio contractors had completed their work. Dave worked compatibly with all other contractors on the site, of which there were several. I have already discussed further work for Dave to do inside the house.

Dave, the owner answered my call and took all my information. He had a tech on there way tot he job within 15 minutes and all completed within 3 hours of the time I called. I thought the price was reasonable and would use them again.

I have two AC units for my house's central air conditioning. One for the basement and first floor, and one for the second and third floors. The second and third floor unit wasn't kicking on and made sleeping in our bedrooms miserable. My roommate and I had to sleep in the living room. Dave came out yesterday to assess the problem. After a couple hours he figured out what was probably going on. Came back today with another guy and they rewired a section of my circuit breaker box and the wiring to the AC unit (it was really messed up). After many hours of work, and a difficult problem to tackle, $270 is well worth it!

I needed this done quickly and could not wait for days for some of the other providers. They showed up the same day to quote me, and did the job the following morning. It was exactly what I needed.

We live in a 90 year old house in Shaker with a detached garage. A storm came through the other night and clipped the power lines from our house to garage. Well, I've been wanted to bury the power line for some time now and Mother Nature decided it was time too. First off Dave's quote was thorough and reasonable. Our second quote was similar but not as detailed and the detail made the difference. They added a new 20amp circuit, ran the line to a junction box off of our deck, added an incremental weather rated gfci plug on the deck, wrapped pvc around the edge of the deck, buried the wire (to code) underground and replaced and rewired every fixture and outlet in garage. In addition, they pulled out all of the old wiring and fixtures. Then to really push them in to the A zone, they helped fix some other pesky outlets and light fixtures that were associated with the old circuit. I recommend Dave's Electric without reservation and plan on using them again in the future.

I left a message and got a call back that evening. We discussed the job, I emailed dave some pictures of the closet and nearby electical outlet, and he emailed me a link to the fixture he planned to use. Dave estimated 1 hour and $220. He had to reschedule once; Sam was very accomodating when i was late to the rescheduled appt. The work was done in less time than estimated and Sam reduced the price accordingly. Great experience and my three year old loves her "BIG GIRL" closet with her very own light.

The service technician phoned and let me know approximately when to expect him. He was on time and the job was completed in about an hour. Everything went well and he cleaned up the work area.

I will definitely call Dave's Electric for any electrical situations-good experience!!!

Our job went very well. Sam was very knowledgeable and able to quickly problem solve when the new GFI outlet wouldn't initially fit into the space of the old grounded outlet. We love the new ceiling / light fan switch in our daughter's bedroom. We would definitely recommend them.

Dave and his son are excellent -- knowledgeable, professional, pleasant, reliable. They do excellent work and also provide great advice. Their prices are great, and they advise you against spending unnecessary money. I will use them for any future work I may need done. They're terrific.

They came when they said they would and completed the job as they said they would. They were pleasant and engaging from the time I contacted them to give an estimate to completion of the job. Dave explained everything he suggested and why it was important to do. My only recommendation is that they spend more time on clean up; while the big items were cleaned up, the floor needed to be swept every where and debris discarded. Still, this is a small issue. I would highly recommend them.

We were having trouble with our dryer fuse box repeatedly blowing fuses. I called Dave, and he arrived within half an hour of my call. After assessing the situation, he said the fuse box was extraneous and the circuit breakers should be able to handle the dryer. He left briefly but returned and made the repair within half an hour. He was quick, friendly, and effective. The problem was fixed. We will be bringing him out again in the spring to assess our house for other needed electrical jobs.

Following basement waterproofing & paneling, Dave came out, gave me an estimate for installing and replacing electrical outlets. His son began the work the next day. Dave stopped by to review the work as it progressed. The work was done on time & at estimated cost. Good clean-up after the job. I have used him before & would again.

In preparation for an insulation project I was told to have some wiring checked out by an electrician. I found Dave's on Angieslist.com and Dave did a timely and professional inspection, and gave an estimate. His son come to finish the work the next week and did the work well and on budget. Very professional and informative.

I call 12/31/2012 and he came the same day, he even offered to come on New Year's day if needed, I never received such prompt service, he offered to clean up the area where he did his work, also as he was leaving he noticed my lock on my door was loose and he stop and took the time to tighten the screws to secure the lock, I would definetly use him again!

Very well - Dave talked directly with the inspector over the phone to explain the situation and offered to come back to meet with the inspector if necessary. I?ve used Dave for other jobs - some major - and always satisfied with quality.

Dave Neuman came to my house on the same day I called him about a problem with the 220 outlet for my dryer. He diagnosed the problem: a bad breaker. He came back before I left for work at 7:30am the next morning to replace it (and another one that was an improper breaker for the wiring it supported). He was happy to explain what he was doing to me and even taught me a few things about electrical wiring. He was amazingly accommodating of my schedule, he did good work , and the price was extremely reasonable.

The reviews on Angie's List led us to Dave's Electric. We called and left a voice message. Dave called back within an hour or so. Dave suggested that we call another company that is located closer to us and that would not charge for the service call as they do. He said it would be too pricy for us to use his services for such a simple task. We ended up taking care of it ourselves. The only reason for my overall grade of B is a simple fact that the work was not actually done so grading it A would be misleading to others in my opinion.
