+ -1 moreBrought door to Alan in April 2005 and paid deposit for work. Stopped in, Summer 2005 - door was stripped but not yet varnished and window was not replaced. Admittedly, we were not diligent in following up with him, but we called in Dec 2005 and door was still not complete. He asked for two more weeks. It's March 2006 and the door still isn't complete. We plan to pick up the door and take it elsewhere to be completed. Alan is professional, but just not reliable.
Description of Work: Refinish interior door - strip & varnish door as well as replace two curved windows. Total estimate: $745.

+ -1 moreTOOK DESK TO BE STRIPPED AND REFINSIHED IN OCT 1999. I MADE A DEPOSIT AND WAS TOLD I WOULD BE CONTACTED AFTER THE DESK WAS STRIPPED AND READY TO REFINISH. HAVING NEVER BEEN CALLED I CALLED IN MARCH 2000 AND WAS TOLD THE WORK HAD NOT BEEN STARTED, BUT WOULD BEGIN SOON. AGAIN NO CALL. I CALLED IN MAY, JUNE AND AUGUST. EACH TIME I WAS TOLD THE SAME THING. AT THE END OF SEPT. I CALLED AND ASKED FOR MY MONEY AND DESK BACK.
