This was one of the worst home repair experiences I have ever had. They were routinely late or did not show up. One crew patched drywall and painted a room in very dim light, so they missed a lot of places--the whole painting job had to be redone. The side of a file cabinet buckled because they moved it without a dolly. Another crew was supposed to repair some plaster coving. The workers repeatedly did not show up or canceled. One worker finally started the job, did a poor job that he could not correct. He was asked to clean up, and he dumped the debris in the garden. He tracked plaster materials on an antique tile floor. We eventually told him not to come back, and he was relieved because he didn't know what he was doing. The whole job took months instead of days. The insurance company had recommended Cleveland Repair and paid for the work. Eventually they had to get another contractor to finish the job.
Description of Work: Replaced drywall, patched plaster ceiling, painted--repaired damage from an upstairs leaky bathroom.

Key Points: 1) Missed Deadlines by six weeks. 2) Lost keys to our house. (replaced lock only after asking) 3) Workers were a bit rough around the edges, swearing and having fights with spouse on the job. 4) They suggested additional explatory work, when it wasn't covered by insurance they said "you told us to do it" They ultimately fixed it, but we didn't like the situtation at all. 5) The manager Chris was really accomidating, but we simply weren't happy in the end. We gutted our bathroon and need a new shower, floor, and exhaust vents. We quoted around and found that they were priced very well. However, what was described as a two week job dragged on for two months. The floor pan was ordered incorrectly. The custom doors did not fit together and had to be reordered. The manager did work with us to get the problems resolved, but in the end, the job took over two months and they showed little respect for our time. The calcking was done poorly and the shower leaked onto our kitchen ceiling, which they did repair. Finally, we were getting bubbling in our walls, they thought it was from the bath on the third floor and suggested we open the ceiling to find the leak. There wasn't any evidence, of that and in hindsight a tape measure would have demonstrated that it was nearly impossible to be the source of the problem. They didn't want to close up the hole at first, but we talked them into it. The manager remained committed to making us happy, but ultimately there were too many mistakes, delays and poor workmanship. We would not use them in the future.
Description of Work: Replaced shower, floor and installed two exhaust vents.

The repairs were needed because of frozen/broken pipes caused by the accidental shut off of our furnace in an unoccupied house. The entire project took about 2 weeks from start to finish. There were 10's of broken pipes/fixtures after the house sat without heat for 5 days during zero degree outside temperatures. CR had to open up walls to get to all the breaks. In the end, the walls/ceilings were repaired and painted, the carpet replaced and ceiling tiles replaced.
Description of Work: Cleveland Repair was brought in to handle repairs to plumbing caused by frozen pipes bursting in the extreme cold. This repair was covered by insurance and Cleveland Repair was selected by the insurance company.
