This was not a hughe home (2600 sf). We chose to work with an architect to get exactly what we wanted without adding size and excess cost to the home and to insure the quality of materials specified for the structure and to keep the building process within our perameters. We selected Chris because of the uniquness of our 2.5 acre lot, which was heavily wooded with creeks. We wanted to preserve the natural beauty of the lot and allow the layout of the home to take advantage of lot's personality. He specializes in green building and preservation and is also certified in ICF homes which we also considered. We loved working with Chris for many months and we loved the home he created for our lot. He was always accomodating to our schedules and did a great job working with our builder as well.Though the plans were pretty much final, unfortunately, we never broke ground because we divorced. But it was a really cool not-so-big house that would have gone on that lot!
Description of Work: Chris designed a custom home for us in 2004, going through multiple revisions and alternatives to reach our objectives and needs. He literally had a box full of blueprints by the time the plan was finalized.
