+ 1 moreHe did a marvelous job. I was very pleased with the work. He was extremely professional and he left my home looking better than what it did when he got here. Everything was clean and precisely done. He even sent me pictures of what he did under the deck so I wouldn't have to crawl under the deck to see it and I would know that it was done properly. I was very happy with his work. He was very reasonable and very conscientious about his work. I wouldn?t hesitate to use him again. The price was excellent. I am planning to use him again.
Description of Work: I used Call Paul to work on my dryer. I had purchased a new dryer and it wasn't working properly. I thought it was because the vent was clogged so he cleaned out the dryer vent and crawled under my deck and put in a new cage so the animals wouldn't come in. He also put in a new flap unit to keep the cold air out.

Communication back and forth with Paul was a breeze. we stayed in touch with him via email We were able to figure out a suitable schedule for him to come in , at different times of the day convenient to us ( both my wife and i work ). He also was kind enough to come in and do the major part of the work on a Saturday. We appreciated that .
Description of Work: Paul focused on two important pieces of work that could not wait. We had a water leak under the kitchen sink. He came in, diagnosed a crack in the garbage disposal. We got a new one from Lowes.He came in again, took out the old one,and installed the new disposal.checked to make sure no more leaks. Also, he replaced our existing ( also leaking) kitchen faucet with a new one. Did all the work himself. Also, we had a malfunctioning switch on the living room fireplace. He replaced the old switch and put in a new one. We still have outstanding outdoor electrical outlets that dont work. He tried to diagnose that problem--we got halfway there. He did acknowledge after some diagnostic checks that this job would be for an electrician. He also cleaned out our guttters. Initially gave us a higher estimate . But once he saw that the gutters were largely clean, he charged only a nominal sum. Professional and honest . Will call him in again for more plumbing work that needs to be done.

+ 0 morePaul responded to my e-mail the first day. He followed with a phone call. He discussed his rates and e-mailed us a copy of the charges. We hired him to rake and haul our leaves to the front yard. My husband has back trouble and needed assistance with the leaves this year. Paul was very professional and prompt. He contacted us on the morning of the service to apologize for being 1/2 hour late. This was fine by us. After the services he emailed us a receipt. Paul is very professional and was meticulous with his work. We are having him back in two weeks to repeat the service. We would absolutely use him again.
Description of Work: Paul raked and hauled our leaves from our back yard to the front yard.

+ 0 morePaul did a wonderful job on my kitchen.. I had sprung a leak in my pipes and decided to replace my sink and faucet as long as he was going to do the plumbing. Once he saw my kitchen he told me he could lower the countertop to standard height and apply a new laminate to it. He also gave me suggestions regarding a backsplash which turned out to be exactly what I had always wanted. He also changed the light fixture over my sink and swagged it so I won't have to stand in my sink to change the bulb. I'm lining up more projects for him in the very near future.
Description of Work: He lowered my kitchen countertop, relaminated it, replaced my kitchen faucet and sink,did the electrical work and put in a garbage disposal. He also did the backsplash for my kitchen.

+ -1 morePaul did a great job re-attaching the gutter to the house. The price was reasonable and he provided before and after photos for us after the job was done. We were extremely satisfied with the work done. Our only complaint is that Paul seems to be very busy and was a bit difficult to get a hold of. We also had to wait a few weeks after we contacted him before the work was completed. We would definitely use him again.

+ -1 morePaul gave us quotes for a number of various items last summer but by the time we took care of other priority work that was not in his area of expertise we couldn't enlist Paul for the remaining jobs. We would have hired him if we had the means and he was very understanding - I called him again recently and in spite of his very busy schedule he took the time to update a quote consistent with the previous. His work is thorough - quotes are very clear about every detail of work to be covered and he follows through with courtesy and professionalism. I have already asked Paul to do additional work as how he has handled everything so far I am confident we will continue to get quality work at a reasonable price.

Description of Work: Sometime in apr-may 2010 Paul came over to look at some handyman work and my van for auto service. He said he'd have a quote to me by the end of the week. When the end of the week came and went I texted him and he said he'd gotten very busy but he'd get me a quote within the week. I never heard from him again.

He even checked and added air to the tires without being asked. I really appreciated his making exception to his normal M-F hours to come on a Saturday so that I didn't have to take a day off work . I would definitely use Paul again. I have already referred him to a relative who needs some work done
Description of Work: I had 2 bathroom fixtures with multiple lights that were loose making it impossible to unscrew the bulbs for replacement-the sockets just kept spinning. Paul repaired all 8 sockets. One socket had to be completely replaced and he went to a local hardware store to get it, only charging me for the cost of the socket. I also had some storage selves in the garage that were comming loose. He took one off the wall completely and remounted it and another he resecured to the wall.

Description of Work: Installed a new exhaust fan in bathroom. Had to rework opening to make the new fan fit. Price of fan was included in estimate. Installed a new ceiling fan on inclosed porch and ran wiring to the fan. The fan was purchased by me and wasn't part of the estimate. Checked exhaust duct from kitchen to make sure it was clear.

+ 1 morePaul would notify you if he was running late, kept things covered while sanding joint compound in the bathroom and overall was very polite throughout. His written estimate was exact for what he charged, and I have to say I'm glad I joined Angie's list and finding this professional through them. If I had to grade on a 1-10 scale he would be a 10+ all the way!
Description of Work: Paul came down on three separate occasions to do some drywall in my bathroom. Paul also put some weather stripping on my doors leading from my garage, and installed some weatherstrip at the bottom of my entry door.

When he discovered the junction box needed to be moved in order to finish the lighting project, he called me at work to alert me and gain permission before proceeding. He also took photos to show why the extra work needed to be done. Paul is very detail oriented and conscientious. I will use him for all my home repair needs.
Description of Work: Replaced 6 light fixtures, including moving the junction box; sand and prep unfinished windows frames for painting; anchor bathroom cabinet, install towel bars, and new door knobs; install smoke detectors.
