He did a great job We were overrun with raccoons and they were destroying the yard. Jim did a thourough job getting rid of them I will use him again and I recommend him.

I had racoons tear into my roof through both a front and back vent which damged them. I called them and they came out within a few hours and applied traps to both front and back. After several days no racoons were captured; they checked out the attic for damage (fortunately there was none) and then put cages on both vents to prevent future entry. Efficient and professional.

These guys are great. Prompt, all business, and we haven't had any problems since.

The man who came out was fine. He lived up to what he said his prices were. There were no overcharges. He got things done quickly on time and he did a nice and clean job. His job was to get rid of the racoons and possums and he was pretty successful in capturing them. He put up a bait that they really went for. He found out where they were coming at, set the bait up and we gave him a call when something was captured and he disposed them. We have not seen any of them getting through the meshing. I do not know how much he charged us because my wife handled the financial part of that. The quality of his service was fine. It is hard to grade because most of the stuff that he does is capturing animals. I know that the racoons and possums will come again because they come from everywhere but as far as this season goes, what I had in the yard seemed to have been caught. So whether it is successful or unsuccessful, I do not know if there is a true grade in it. He was also pretty responsive. When we call him, he shows up.

Everything went as was quoted.

We came home from a weekend away to find 2-3 bats in the main floor of the home. My normally calm wife, in a word, freaked. We called several people and Jim was the first to return our call..lucky for us. Mark came out and helped determine the point(s) of entry, identified other potential entry points and gave us a quote. I have to admit that I was a bit shocked at the quote but the 5 year warranty helped us to make the decision. After we saw the thorough inspection of the entire house, the number of trips needed, the amount of work and ladder time required in sealing all the cracks, the expertise needed AND the piece of mind we had at the end of the process, it was worth every dollar! We even called Jim to ask his opinion on returning home (yes we stayed in a hotel!) and he returned our calls promptly and was reassuring and knowledgeable. As an added bonus, Mark noticed mouse activity in the attic but now the occasional mouse that we would have gotten in the fall, has been nowhere to be found.

This is the second year that he came to take out a raccoon. He sealed the soffitts so raccoons will not return. This guy is so knowledgeable. He even stripes his hair to match his job!

I have tried to call the provider 3 times and have yet to get a response

Wow. I can't say enough good things about this company. They were the second company we called, but I wish they had been the first. After two weeks of a bad skunk smell in/around our house, and after paying Ace Wildlife Services (another top Angie's list company) $100 with no results, we woke up one morning to the most HORRIBLE skunk smell in our basement. After calling but not hearing back from Ace, I called Cages by Jim. I talked with Jim for about 10-15 minutes and he assured me we would not pay another service fee with no result. He said they would either leave with a living or dead skunk, or leave a trap for up to several weeks, if necessary. He also squeezed us in that day, which I believe was a Friday. I cannot imagine what we would have done if they had not come out that day...the smell was overwhelming. Jim guessed we had a dead skunk problem, and when the two guys got here they thought the smell indicated that as well. The smell was strongest in our basement, so one of the guys squeezed himself all the way into our extremely low-profile crawl space and determined it was probably not in there, so they went around back to our deck. They noted there were a lot of flies in one area and focused there. This guy then crawled all the way under our deck, which is probably not even two feet off the ground and located and removed the dead skunk. Afterward they sprayed the area with a bleach to kill the bugs, etc. Jim was right, and those guys did not leave until they found that dead skunk. The guy from Ace just shined his flashlight in our crawl space (did not go in) and only stood on top of the deck to look around the area. The guys from Cages by Jim were also friendly, professional, and obviously not afraid to get right into the problem area. I am so very grateful to them!

We heard noises in the walls of our house mainly in our finished attic area for several weeks. We didn't know the type of animal or animals that were in our walls. We call Cages By Jim and an employee arrived at our house on the day and time we were told. He walked around the house and determined immediately that we had a small hole near our second story gutter and indicated that we probably had squirrels. He placed a metal trap underneath the rain gutter near the hole. He told us to call him up when we noticed a squirrel in the trap. We noticed a caught squirrel the next morning and call Cages By Jim and an employee came out and removed the live squirrel and set another trap in the same place. A second live squirrel was caught and the trap was placed again. We were told that there may not be any more squirrels. The trap was left for a week and no other squirrels were caught. I was told that I needed to made a wooden plug to seal up the hole which I did and the employee installed it for me. It appeared that the employees of Cages By Jim really liked animals and treated them with respect. We never heard anymore animal noises since 12/28/2010.

After a storm, a racoon broke into our attics. Mark cames and set up a cage, and check later to see the racoon's gone. After that, he help us repair the demage. He worked efficiently and professionally.

I can't say enough good things about these guys. Jim is very prompt answering calls and scheduling appointments. Mark spared no effort, first in going all the way to the top of the chimney where the mother raccoon was living, then building a temporary cover after she was caught. He spent many hours trying to access the 3 young ones that were living behind and below my fireplace. It took 8 visits over 6 days to finally get all of them out! Even after all that, the charge was the same as initially quoted for what should have been a much simpler job.

I highly recommend them. They did a really nice job on the bird guard screens for the gable vents on my home. They put screens in the gables of my home to prevent birds from getting in there. They even cleaned out the nesting material from the birds. When they pulled up in the truck you knew you were dealing with a professional company. They return your calls, are very professional, and businesslike. Mark and Jim are very nice they do a terrific job. The screening even made the house look better

Things went very well, they were wonderful, efficent, and on time. They came out next day to assess the problem.

Things went extremely well. They guarantee their work. They are the best around in animal removal. I keep their business card on my fridge now!

It didn't. No one ever called back. Got no response to several phone calls made at varying times of day/evening over a several day/week period.

In each instance Jim or one of his guys responded quickly and followed up prompty. I really appriciate the care they take to prevent animals getting back into the building. The prevention protects the structure as well as the animals. If the animals do not get into the house they do not have to be dealt with.

We had a squirrel invade in our attic. When we tried to handle it ourselves. we ended up sealing the squirrel inside the house. It chewed its way back out but then we didn't want to close the hole again for fear sealing it in a second time. Although we were pretty certain the squirrel had not returned, we called Cages by Jim. They showed up precisely on time and mounted a trap right over the hole. The trapper, Mark, took time to explain a lot about how and why squirrels do things which is helpful to know since this wasn't our first problem with them. As it turned out, the squirrel had fled but this allowed us to be certain it was gone so we could close the hole without sealing the critter inside again. Cages by Jim can do this repair but we elected to use a different contractor we like for that part. They provided us real peace of mind after an upsetting situation.

Cages by Jim came out to remove a raccoon that was living in the overhang above our front door. They were responsible in setting up the appointment so that the trap wouldn't be set while we were out of town. They trapped a mother raccoon and four kits, and then repaired the opening created by the raccoons. They also removed other debris from the crawl space (bird's nest, etc.) and cleaned everything up. Nothing was left dumped in the bushes. They were prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. Hopefully I won't need them again, but if I do, I won't hesitate to call.

I knew we had a problem - I heard tiny foot steps in the ceiling of my dining room, little did I know that Bullwinkles's friend was residing there with his family. I called cages by Jim -was told the costs and availability of their techs. The tech arrived when promised. He looked the situation over, placed some mouse/rat traps in some spaces in the second floor as a precaution. Went outside to check the place where we believed they were coming in. Told me that from the hair around the opening that it was a squirrel. Came back to install the squirrel cage. Told me what to expect and to call in if anything appeared in the cage. Within an hour the cage was filled with a large male squirrel. The tech removed the squirrel and euthanized him (this is a requirement as the squirrel cannot be released after capture here). The cage was reset, and the tech left. Another 2 hours goes by and the cage was filled again by a female this time. I called again and the tech arrived in a reasonable time. While the cage was being emptied I heard more footsteps and told the tech. He reset the cage and told me that if I needed him again that day he probably couldn't make it as he had another job on the east side. Well we had another couple of hours and the cage was once again filled - a young male this time. I called again and the owner called back and said that his tech would be there as the temps outside were going down to single digits and the squirrel would die. I said what is the difference and I was told that it was inhumane to have the creature freeze to death. So later that early evening, the tech showed up and removed the final squirrel. The cage was removed after the weekend was over and he placed a cover over the hole where they had gotten in. The tech worked a very long day to accomplish all of this. I was very please with the result

Cages by Jim are great. They tried to help me with my problem. They cut a hole in the roof to check to see if anything was in there. We played the waiting game. We put cages on the roof but nothing was going in there. They did a great job helping me. They did end up catching a opossum in the backyard.

'It went extremely well overall. They were extremely prompt - Cages by Jim came out the same day we called them. They set up a trap over where the 'kitties with a stripe' were burrowing under the sun porch. These critters proved to be very aggressive and ingenious. They burrowed around the trap and tripped the trap w/o being captured on several occasions. Jim upgraded the trap until he captured both skunks and insured they were the only two who had taken up residence. He then installed exclusion fencing to insure none of their relatives took up residence under the porch. We found Cages by Jim to be very professional, extremely responsive and prompt. We felt they did very high quality work. Cages by Jim is highly rated on Angie's List and has won a number of Angie's Lists awards. We totally concur with these ratings and awards.

I was concerned that there were skunks living in my shed. The technician came out very soon after I called and checked all around my property including inside the shed. He determined that they wer not living inside but placed 2 skunk traps near the shed and in an additiona area of the yard. The traps remained for 2 months but no skunks were trapped and they were removed ater that time.

Overall, it went very well. They did not catch them all, but they still did a good job.

We noticed an active racoon on numerous occasions during the day. The racoon was walking between the houses, using the elderly next door neighbor's basement window well for a bathroom and walking across our deck. Since we have young children and dogs, the racoon had to go as we were nervous about the diseases that they can transmit as well as the damage that they can do if the decide to live in your house. We called our normal exterminating company who does not do animal removal, but did provide a phone number for Cages by Jim. Jim came out the next day and and set up cages. The next morning there were 2 racoons. I called Jim and they were promptly removed and new cages set up. Over the course of a month, we trapped 5 racoons and 2 squirrels. Since the squirrels were not the target, they were released and the cages re-set. Jim and his staff are courtesous and prompt. We were satisfied with the service.
