Bright Eyed Moving

Bright Eyed Moving moved us from Ohio to Virginia in August 2016. I interviewed 7 different moving companies and them came in on the top 3. I ended up choosing them after talking to Spensir on the phone for a while. I also liked that they made an emphasis on charity on their website. They were not the cheapest quote but were competitively priced. Their model of moving is that they put all your stuff on a truck, drive it to the location, and unload it so you have the same people loading and unloading your stuff and your items are not mixed on a truck with other people's items. This is the same model that Two Men and a Truck use. All three of my top choices used this model. My goal was to fit in one truck. One of the companies that gave us a quote recommended we think about what we would not want to take if it ends up everything doesn't fit. Another company was sure we would fit. When I talked to Spensir about his thoughts, he said he was so confident in his crew that if anything didn't fit, he would ship it without charge for us. That got them my business. On the day of the move, a huge crew of people arrived a little earlier than the time given and they all worked hard to load up the truck. I almost thing it was too many hands because than the lead guy couldn't quite keep track of everyone. Everything did end up fitting in the truck. However, I noticed our couch was not wrapped in anything after it was loaded into the truck (but then it felt like too late to say anything since it was packed in.) Nothing was put down on our wood floors to protect them. This lead to one minor scratch, and one deeper scratch. Someone put something heavy on our TV stand which caused the TV stand to break. The door to the basement also got heavily dinged up, enough so that I got out sand paper and wood finish to touch it up after they left. That being said, there was big boxes as well as a washer and dryer in the basement that had to be brought up. It was a hot summer day and everyone worked very hard. Everyone was polite and respectful and I don't think anyone was being careless. However, there were probably some less experienced people on the job but there are always going to be new people that need to be trained. Everyone worked until the truck was packed and no one took a lunch break even though it was early to mid afternoon when they were finished packing the truck. The next day, two of their guys, the lead guy Matt and another mover Daniel, drove the truck to Virginia. (We also drove to Virginia in our own cars.) Matt and Daniel showed up on day three as scheduled to unload the truck. Now it was only two guys instead of a whole crew and they had a lot of work to do. And while it was hot in Cleveland, it was even hotter in Virginia, temperature in the 90's with high humidity. I had talked to Matt about the floor being scratched at our house in Cleveland and that I wanted to prevent anything like that in the house in Virginia. He covered the carpet. They were very careful with moving all of the furniture on the wood floors. They worked super hard and took great care of everything. In the end, the couch that wasn't wrapped did get damaged from something else pushing against the leather and creating an indent. A metal coffee table, also not wrapped, got scratched so the finish came off. The pieces of furniture I told Matt that I was most concerned about had been carefully wrapped and were in perfect condition. Some of the boxes got bent out of shape. At this point, almost every box is unpacked and very little was broken. We did pack all the boxes ourselves. This is my 6th move and I have always packed the boxes. I have never actually had something broken from a previous move. The things that were broken were most likely from too much weight on the box and the box not having the integrity to hold up. For example, one of the things broken was our phone and answering machine, which was packed in it's original box with all the original packing but part of the machine got crushed in. This is the first move where we filled the moving truck to full capacity which I think explains the boxes that got crushed. Matt contact a local upholstery company to help fix my couch. In the end, Spensir worked with me on rectifying the damaged furniture. I ended up fixing the coffee table myself and he reimbursed the supplies. He also reimbursed a TV stand to make up for the broken one. He was generous with his reimbursements and prompt sending the check. My opinion is that this is a solid moving company that will take care of you. However, don't expect everything to go perfectly. Somethings may be damaged or broken but they are fair in their compensation. Everyone who encountered was professional, respectful, and hardworking.

I was very happy with Bright Eyed Movers. They were on-time and charged exactly what was quoted. The four-man crew we hired were careful with fragile items and help disassemble and re-assemble some larger items that would not fit out the doors. I don't want to have to move again, but if I do I would certainly hire Bright Eyed Movers again.

We could not have been more pleased with Bright Eyed! Spensir and his crew were friendly, professional, knowledgeable and hard working. They arrived promptly and go to work right away. They were careful with my belongings, wrapped most of the furniture and expertly moved my upright piano. My house had nine rooms plus a basement and garage that I packed up for them to move. It took 2 trucks and a crew of about 7 men approximately 7 hours to make the move, and they never took a break the entire time. I must stress, they didn't just 'move' the contents of my house. They placed the furniture where I requested, unwrapped everything, provided advice on furniture arrangement, reattached mirrors to dressers, and disassembled and reassembled a king size platform bed, etc. In short, I truly couldn't be more impressed with the quality of work that was provided.

They came in to pack the day before and moved us out in one day. They were even ready to deliver an hour ahead of schedule, and got all our stuff out and reassembled in good time. By the end of the day though they seemed to be getting tired and we noticed some boxes were put in the wrong rooms, but overall very good and professional service.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience with Bright Eyed Movers. They were short handed on the Sunday we moved, so the owner himself pitched in and helped with the move. They were such hard workers and absolutely wonderful. The owner said they never like to let anyone down. I would highly recommend them. In addition my in-laws recently moved and were moving some of their own boxes. One of the young men from Bright Eyed Movers saw my mother-in-law with a big box and carried to her new apartment for her. So kind.

Hired BEM to help me move the entire contents of my home 80 miles (I moved from a 2 bedroom townhouse with a full basement to a three bedroom house). My first call, I was completely lost, not knowing what needed to be said, I called and spoke to Spensir, who was great. He was patient with my rambling, asked me a series of questions, and by the end, we had a date, a truck, and three guys set up to help me move. The team of guys showed up on time, and got right to work. They took the time to wrap all of my furniture, and were careful with all of my belongings. They fit everything in the truck, which i did not think was going to happen when they first pulled up. They then met me at the new place, and right away got to unloading, making sure everything was in the right room, and placed where I wanted, nothing was mistreated or broken. All of this was done in under 5 hours, which includes the 90 minute drive (I was originally quoted to take 6-8 hours), so my cost was much lower than anticipated. I highly recommend BEM! They made an overwhelming process much less stressful, and are so easy and great to work with, and you will not beat the price!

They gave me a competitive rate and free moving advice when I called to schedule the appointment. On the move day the company communicated with me to adapt to my changing arrival time. They unloaded my truck quickly and kept me informed of the process and progress. You can choose whether or not to work with them, and I did, to keep down the time and cost of service. They were kind, helped to direct me, and received direction, as well. They got the job done faster than expected and gave me suggestions about social activities in my new area.

It went very well!! They were a little late but called to let us know that they were on their way and what time they would arrive. They arrived exactly when they said they would. They picked up the items, and delivered them in perfect condition. They were very professional - the furniture was handled/moved with great care. They were very courteous.. They finished all the moves within the allotted 3 hour time limit. My experience with Bright Eyed Movers was excellent - I would use them again in a heartbeat!

Three movers came out on time early Saturday morning with the mission! Moved all the furnitures from 3 story condo to a truck in 1 1/2 hours and then moved them into a 1 bedroom apartment located on the 4th floor with extremely small and old working elevator. There were minor scratches and broken pieces of some furnitures after the move , but oh well. They did a great job and i am happy with the service.

Spenser and his crew moved a 6 person hot tub from our house to the people that bought it from us. They were very professional and wrapped the hot tub so no corners or side panels would get dinged in the move. Hot Tubs are very heavy and he had all the proper equipment and personnel to take care of the job. I have used Bright Eyed moving company a few other times and my husbands Multi Billion Dollar Company he works for has used Spenser and his team to move equipment across the country. I highly recommend Bright Eyed Moving company for your next move, whether it is for a small or large job they get it done!

I don't know where to start with how awesome these movers are. The thought of a long distance move gave my parents anxiety, but these movers put them at ease. They helped load a rental truck for my parents moving to Florida. They carefully wrapped and protected every piece of furniture like the New England Patriots lineman do to Tom Brady. We could not have been more satisfied.

Our movers were AMAZING. This could've been a terribly stressful experience to move into a giant apartment complex but these guys insisted that they do the heavy lifting, as well as planned and managed the entire process so we could just jump in and help here and there. After a 5 hour move we weren't even tired and went out to dinner to celebrate. I would recommend BEM to anyone!

It could not have gone any better. The team of movers were all very well mannered gentlemen that made my move very quick and painless. Very friendly guys, made me feel safe, they took the stress out of moving for me. It was done in a very prompt manner, was done much faster than I anticipated. Quality moving company at a value price. Highly recommended and I would use them again in a heartbeat in the future.

High quality movers with great attention to detail. I hired BEM to move from an apartment into my new home. They arrived exactly when they said and began loading up the truck. Couple small glitches along the way ..weather related.. Drivers and loaders were good and administration went out of their way, working with the team, to work out the small problems. BRight eyed seems to be a small company with a passion for delivering good service to their customers. Would recommend them.

We were strapped for time, needed help and didn't have much time to find it. Our lease was up the next week, and we last minute decided we weren't going to resign. I contacted Bright Eyed Moving and received a follow up email almost immediately. From the very beginning they were so helpful and honest. They arrived right on time and immediately went to work. They treated our belongings like it were their own and took every precaution possible to ensure that our things would not be damaged in any way. The movers were hard working, dedicated, friendly and trustworthy. I would use this company to move a million times and recommend them to anyone looking to move and make their move 1000x hassle free.

The guys showed up at 9:00. They were all friendly, smiling and corteous. They started in immediately and didn't stop until they took a brief lunch. They moved rooms of heavy furniture and a huge amount of boxes without one complaint. They were careful and thorough. There was no damage to our home or belongings. They were awesome!

Excellent job. First, as is our luck, we moved in the middle of a snow storm. They covered all of the furniture, They put down mats in the house to reduce the amount of slush that came in with them. Put back together all the furniture and put it right where I wanted them. They were very efficient and professional.
