Carpenter and assistant were excellent! Very considerate of me while they were in the house. Arrived on time, left on time, Worked well with plumber, electrician and floor installer.

Bob Brietenback was very valuable, friendly advisor in our plan. His workers on both jobs were courteous, very capable and always cleaned up every day, showed up every day and addressed our needs and living conditions.

Price to high and the complete kitchen was not going to be done by this company.

It went great. The owner (Bob) worked with me on the design for both rooms. He spent time with me picking out cabinets, as well as making good suggestions. The kitchen was done first. I had real used bricks for my back splash, which I LOVE! The two workers Scott and Gary were here on time, and worked hard all day. Each afternoon when they left, the area was spotless. They were both a pleasure to have here each day. The new cabinets are high quality and the countertop is Formica but I chose from their metal looking products. It turned out to be a super choice. All new lighting was also installed. I have gotten nothing but raves from friends and family.(It really does look pretty darn great) The bathroom was a real challenge. It was a 50's bathroom, sort of art deco but bad art deco. A blue tub, a separate shower "closet",a blue sink and a black tile floor AND walls. Yikes, it was pretty depressing. It needed to be completely gutted and reconfigured. It was truly a labor of love, with lots of help from Bob and his staff. The tub was replaced with a large walk in shower with a bench.The tile on the floor and in the shower is stunning. The bathroom is classic yet not "over done". I am thrilled with it. Everything was done on schedule. Their prices were a little higher then the other bid I had done. However, the quality of the products made it well worth it. They say what they mean, and mean what they say. Work is done on time, for the price quoted, and done professionally . WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!

excellent. These guys were prompt, here early every morning. they coordinated well all of the subcontractors like electrician, plumber, etc. they completed the work in 4 weeks! Bob the owner and Marci were a pleasure to work with.

I am writing this review aprox. 10 years later as the quality of their work has not stood the test of time and things are falling apart. Where to begin: the water line to the fridge was not installed properly and leaked all over the kitchen hardwood floors, discovered upon hiring an insulation company to insulate the unheated attic above the kitchen that all the can ceiling lights were not the kind of lights you put below an unheated attic, no manual for the big fan over the stove so you can't figure out how to change the bulbs, the under counter light fixtures keep falling off the cabinets (they were called a couple times to fix this but it keeps happening), the soffit that was installed keeps pulling away from the ceiling, the ballast in an undercounter light fixture won't work any longer, the glue in the seams of the granite countertop keeps cracking out and leaving a 1/8-1/4 in. gap looking in to the inside of the cabinet. I was told the seam was installed in a bad spot where the steam from the dishwasher comes out…as I have now had the granite place out 4 times to fix this and need them again. The grout to the backsplash tile keeps crumbling where it meets any wood from the window frame or cabinet, when I called about this they asked why I didn't use calk instead of grout as that is what happens when these two materials meet…I had to remind them that they were the ones that did this which was why I was calling and wanted it fixed. I had to get a separate contractor to cut a piece of wood to fit a gap that looked terrible between cabinet and door frame as at the time of the kitchen install Breits would not do so. Also, after the work was done, I when they were out fixing small things, they looked at the new dimmer switch at my request at was acting wierd to which I was told it was fine. Now its broken and wont turn off so now there are 6 can lights that wont turn off that I need an electrician for now. I called them at first to fix things and to their credit they would come fix things with a little complaining but at this point I wish I had gone with a different contracting company as there are many many things that aren't right and need fixed.

The project started on time and finished two weeks early. Scott and jerry did most of the work. They were very considerate of me and kept me informed of when they would be in the house and what they would be doing each day. They cleaned up each day and took away all Trash each day. The plumber, electrician and flooring specialist were also good to Work with. Bob and Marcie in the office answered all my questions and kept track Of what needed to be done.

I went to their store. We did not use them, but we went and talked to them, and decided to wait. He was very nice and very helpful.

We just postponed it. He followed up with me. We went out to see him and he did a couple of designs for us. He did a really great job. He went above and beyond helping me with something else.

We are in the process of ordering the cabinets and will receive them in a couple of weeks! Can't wait for my new kitchen!

They did a fine job. My experience with them was very good. They're very professional, and they have bright ideas.

Art was a really nice guy and answered all of our questions, but didn't seem to think much of the fact that he just had us travel a half an hour from our home to see something we had no interest in seeing. We were also informed that Breit's had in fact never sold a natural hichory kitchen (as far as he knew). After 10 or 15 minutes of conversation post arrival I mentioned that I was wondering why he had us come out here to see an Alder kitchen and his response was that he ' thought' it was a hickory kitchen, which, again, left me wondering about their record-keeping at least. Right now it's kind of hard to move forward with this company.

The work was performed professionally and expeditiously.

We bought a beautiful old foreclosed home in Lakewood and we need to completely remodel the kitchen before we can move in. I called to get a quote and Bob was very open to come over and check out our kitchen project. He spent a lot of time with us discussing different options, and then took precise measurements and said he better get to work on our kitchen. He called within a day or two to make an appointment, and the next day my husband and I spent several hours in his showroom where he presented us with an impressive 3-D model of the kitchen. We sat and tweaked it together. Overall we had a very positive experience with Bob but we didn't choose Breit to work on the project because they were the highest quote we received. There is no question that the cupboards and countertops they provide are top notch - the quality is definitely the best we've seen. We really wish we could afford them but we only have so much home improvement money to go around and we have several other major projects that also have to happen before we can move in.

Decided to not use his services due to financial issues. Bob was extremely professional and knowledgeable. Would recommend him to anyone.

They assisted with ordering our cabinets and counter-tops. We selected our own appliances. The work was good and the price was reasonable.

Bob and Marcy in the showroom were great to work with! They are very patient and easy going. There was never any pressure, but they did offer some very welcome advice from their years of experience. The custom work we requested was done as requested. The workers (Jerry and Scott) were very professional and very talented. They began working at exactly 8:00 AM each morning. The electrician and plumber that were brought in were very good. They came when they were expected. Breit's carries top notch cabinets, materials and has an outstanding staff. Quality of materials and personnel are very important considerations when doing a remodel.

Two months before we started scheduling estimates for our kitchen remodel, we visited showrooms. That's how we met Bob Breitenbach. My overall sense was that he spoke more to my husband than to me, and that he was a bit condescending. However, we did like a few things we saw at his showroom, and later signed up on angieslist, where we saw that he did receive some great reviews. We decided that our first impression may have been off, and scheduled him to come out and look at our kitchen. Almost immediately, I felt that my first impression was correct. The minute he left, my husband told me I had been right, and this guy wasn't for us. His social and customer interaction skills left much to be desired. He "chuckled" at some ideas we had, and didn't seem very interested in our "vision" for the space. I had been collecting pictures of "ideas" I like for months, and had them displayed all over our kitchen. Bob didn't seem very interested in looking at these, and I got the impression that he thought it was silly. I felt like what we would get with him would be cookie-cutter. When he asked us what our budget was, we told him $25,000. I admit, we did state a lesser amount than we know we'll actually end up spending, but we were testing the waters. He flat out told us "If that's your budget, you're talking to the wrong person!". I understand that we have a lot of lofty ideas for the space... we'd LIKE to raise the ceiling if possible, close in a wall, have granite countertops, and a patterned floor, possibly some custom cabintry. When he balked at our budget, we explained that we realized that we weren't going to get EVERYTHING that we described, and that we knew there would be trade-offs, and that some (if not many) things wouldn't be possible. He asked what type of stove/oven we wanted, and I showed him a picture of one in a kitchen and bath magazine. Again, he balked and later made a comment (during the budget conversation) that if I was going to have a $6000.00 range, we were not in the right ballpark regarding budget. AGAIN, I had to explain that I only showed him a PICTURE, not the actual appliance we intend to get. We explained that we had already shopped for appliances and knew pretty much want we wanted and the stove/oven was no where close to $6000.00 (we probably won't spend more than $10k on appliances total). Overall, we found Bob to be unimaginative and arrogant. It's fair to say that our personalities just didn't mesh, and that's what I told his secretary the next business day when I called to say that we didn't want to waste Bob's time drawing up any plans for us. We now (7/12/2011) have already met with two other businesses, and have one more consultation coming up tomorrow. So far, the other two went great. With one in particular, we really felt that we were brainstorming together. He complemented us on all of the ideas/pictures we had up, and said that he wished all his clients did that. It really helps give insight into peoples' personalities and styles. He didn't even bat an eyelash at our "budget", and kindly told us that depending on materials, labor (he suggested we might do the demo ourselves to save some money) and whether or not it was even possible to raise the ceiling, that we might be looking at sacrificing some of our ideas, or trading off in some areas. He was very respectful in how he said it. He and the employee be brought with him were very passionate about their craft, and seem very creative. They spoke our language, and because they do more than just kitchens, we feel they will take care of our overall budget (which is considerably more than $25,000, by the way) and help us spread it around for the biggest impact! I felt deflated after Bob left our home, but now we are looking forward to the possibilities again!

Crew was outstanding, they were so trusting that we were home only 2 of the 9 days the job took. Breits Kitchen is an impeccable company our hats are off to all of you.

We went to the showroom and picked out our kitchen from one of the displays, very easy and everybody was great to work with. They provided advice when we asked for it but did not try to push anything on us. Once the work started it went very fast, they did a great job of cleaning up every day and they were very reliable - we joked that we could set our clocks by when they pulled in the driveway every morning. It's a small kitchen, took about 2 weeks for everything but they were able to work around the refrigerator so our lives were not disrupted too much, we just set up the microwave and coffeepot in the basement and we were comfortable. I recommend them to everybody, they did a fabulous job and they were very neat and considerate. Absolutely would use them again!

The order came in on time, they called us and we picked it up (they are very close by). When we later discovered a piece was missing, they took care of it without a hassle. Excellent service - a very pleasant experience! When I need to replace my cabinets, I'm going to them!!!

These guys are great from start to finish. Bob and Art took an amazing ammount of time with us in the design phase of the project so that we got it just right. They made very wise suggestions that i would have never thought of. We got color computer simulations that really helped visualize the project. They have been in business for many years and know exactly how older homes in Lakewood are constructed, which came in very handy in the redesign process. Once the project got started they stayed right on schedule. They showed up within minutes of the appointed time and at the end of the day went to great lengths to cleanup and put our home back in order. They actually vacumed the work site each day so that it was neat and all of their gear was neatly stacked and folded in the corner of the room. We were consulted repeatedly during the work phase to make sure that everything was done just right and even made some last minute changes that they were happy to accomodate. When it was all done we found a dent in the new exhaust hood which was clearly done at the factory. Without hesitation, they ordered a new hood and installed it the moment it arrived. These guys are not the cheapest company around but their quality and work ethic make them more than worth the price. I would not even consider hiring another company. In fact Bob and Art redesigned our bathroom a few years ago and the experience was similar.

We decided to completely remodel our 1970's kitchen. We did a lot of internet research and visited a number of kitchen remodeling companies/showrooms, and spoke to a lot of people about our project. We narrowed it down to three companies, from which we got formal quotes. One thing that really impressed us about Bob Breitenbach (Breit's) was his vast knowledge and years of experience in the kitchen remodeling business. His father started the business long ago, and Bob was exposed to kitchen design since he was a boy. I could tell by talking with him that kitchens were "second nature" to him. He was extremely knowledgeable. He spent LOTS of time with us, gave us many great ideas and suggestions, and drew up a plan for our kitchen. Bob was very flexible, making changes to the plan to include specific things we wanted. However, he wasn't afraid to recommend against an idea if, in his professional opinion, it wasn't a good idea. (I wanted input, but I didn't want a "yes" man, either.) During the initial phase, I called him many times with further questions, and he was always patient, willing to talk with me and answer my questions. After evaluating the final three contractors, we chose Breit's to do the job. The actual work started a couple of months later, with the tear-out of our old kitchen and the installation of new maple cabinets, granite countertops, sink/faucet, appliances, etc. Bob and his crew did a great job with every aspect. The crew worked hard and handled any little problems as they came up. The materials chosen were a good quality, and the worksmanship was top notch. Bob's crew was punctual, and cleaned up each day before leaving.Sub-contractors came and went, and each phase was well coordinated. Our kitchen came out GREAT, and we were very happy with the outcome.

It went wonderfully, and I now have a beautiful kitchen! Bob was professional, experienced, and invested in the project. I chose Breit's because I could order a semi custom-made kitchen within my budget and because Bob came to the house, measured, and provided a design that I liked for free. Others who charged for a design or for the home visit did not get my business, nor did those who appeared to not know what they were doing. I felt he could hardly wait to offer a design and was as enthusiastic about it as I was. Both Art Breitenbach and Marcy were also quite helpful to me in making some of the decisions. The project took about 2 1/2 weeks. Scott and Jerry came every morning at 7:30 and worked for 4-7 hours, depending on what was to be done that day. All work was very high quality. I appreciated Scott's ongoing communication with me about what they were doing and when they would be leaving for the day. I felt completely comfortable leaving them alone in the house. They co-ordinated their work with plumbers and electricians, as well as with the building inspector for the city.
