Bob did a great job, he encouraged us to reglaze our windows rather than replace them and I'm glad that we did. He was prompt and communicated changes along the way.

Mr Muschamp is a pleasant, intelligent man who is a good carpenter. The carpentry (back porch) is quite fine and cost less than we feared. It was sometimes quite difficult to get in touch with him. He is quite busy. Sometimes "things came up" and he was unable to come when he said. Other times he didn't have anything available within our desired time frame, which has resulted in winter coming on without all the work done that we had wanted. This is actually quite a problem. He didn't do all the work himself. An assistant did the tuckpointing. While this looked OK at first, over this winter a lot of the exterior work has opened up again. In addition, it does not conform to our city code; I would have expected a contractor to be familiar with this code. The mortar is supposed to match the previous mortar, and it is noticeably a different color; I doubt if it will pass inspection, so it will have to be redone. I wasn't aware of this requirement when I ok'd the job. The interior is OK. The electrician Mr Muschamp engaged was also very reasonably priced, but he made a lot of holes in the wall around the outlets, which no-one patched up; Mr Muschamp said that wasn't in the agreement, and that actually is true, but I hadn't expected the holes to be made in the first place. Also there was a misunderstanding between me and the electrician about how to handle the situation in the dining room. After a previous person had replaced our fuse-boxes with breaker-boxes, we noticed there was no power to the dining room light fixtures or electrical outlets. This was to be repaired by Mr Muschamp's man. He couldn't figure out why there was no power, so he went into the wall behind an outlet and did something. He left a large hole, and removed the outlet so there was nowhere to plug in a lamp I had had there. He thought I had ok'd that situation, but I hadn't understood what he was saying, evidently. He did return and install an outlet there, but the big hole remains. I don't wish any harm to Mr Muschamp from a bad review. But I am not really satisfied with the non-carpentry work. The carpentry is wonderful. Also we had him do some other work last spring which was fine. I'll do a separate report on that.
Description of Work: We had 3 major projects: 1) remove rotted back porch and its unsound foundation and construct new, smaller back porch, with stairs and staining, using arsenic-free wood, to meet Cleveland Heights code. included getting permit and meeting city inspection. Also included making new foundation. All this while avoiding damage to a large nearby tree. 2) tuckpointing around brick foundation, front stair risers, crack in front service walk, and interior chimney foundation repair 3) replace or repair a number of electrical outlets and fixtures; restore power to dining room and its outlets; install outlet in bath; ground a living room outlet

Once work actually started, it went well and was done well and for considerably less than we feared. The only problem was being fit into Mr Muschamp's overly-full schedule. However, all these repairs were successfully completed and we were very satisfied.
