Blossom Earthworks and Design LLC

After interviewing several contractors, we chose Blossom Earthworks to provide our landscaping needs for our new Pulte home. They were not the low bidder, nor were they the high bid. Despite some personnel turnover, working with their landscape consultant (an architect) we were able to craft a plan that met our needs and budget. Blossom was able to navigate a rigorous approval process dictated by our HOA and City. With approvals in hand, Blossom's crew, headed by the capable Cruz, went to work and transformed a rough graded lot into what we had hoped for. Once started they came in on time and within budget. At Cruz's suggestion we made some changes involving rock walls that increased the original budget but was money well spent. We also added some landscape lighting that was not in the original budget. The crews and subcontractors (irrigation and lighting) were professional and communicative. Blossom will benefit from additional management depth as the recent turnover affected communication during the planning and approval process and added to our stress as we raced to get the landscaping completed prior to the end of the season.

The owner, Josh Cohen, does NOT get involved with his business. He has five laborers doing larger work (like my outdoor kitchen that isn't complete) and about the same mowing lawns. He doesn't ask his people if they are capable of the work, doesn't come out to the site when there are problems, will intentionally ignore his phone to hide from his customers. We had the need for an outdoor kitchen. He said this will be no issue and will take about a week. He's been here for several of those weeks. Were there some delays that were unforeseeable? Yes. Some. I kept my mouth closed for those. When I gave him a punch list of things that aren't right (to include HIS cigarette butts being through my yard...which isn't as much of a labor thing but a respect thing....he's a landscaper who litters in his customers yards), he said I will be 100% happy "tomorrow" and he will have his best guys on it. His guys show up around noon most days and leave usually around 4. He knows none of the work promised is done. We have cameras going 24/7 should anyone be interested in seeing some highlight reels. STEER CLEAR! HE HAS LIED SEVERAL TIMES TO ME! HE YELLS AT HIS IMMIGRANT WORKERS AND BLAMES THEM FOR HIS SHORTCOMINGS. If you need further info, please reach out.

The work was done on time and on budget. Kirk has great ideas for the plantings as well as the bricks/stones for the patio. We love our new outdoor space.

The landscaping crew came out and did an amazing job! The crew worked so hard all day and I have had a few neighbors ask who did the work.

The crew of 3 man showed up on time and worked all day to install a French drain. They were friendly, did a great job with the installation, cleaning afterwards, and went the extra mile doing some extra work.
