We had a broken 3 way light switch. Lou came out quickly and he had a replacement switch on his truck. He was very personable and his price was reasonable.

Lou did a very nice job, and was punctual, professional, tidy, and pleasant. He was running a little late, but he let me know that he'd be arriving later than we scheduled. It's not always easy to find someone willing to do small jobs like this.

Big Lou was on time, discussed all problems, fixed them all in a timely manner and was very pleasant.

It went great! I called Lou late last week and he said he would be in my area beginning of this week. He called today and came right over and replaced the broken receptacle on the front of my house. As always, Lou was very courteous, professional and thorough. I highly recommend Lou as he is very conscientious about making sure everything is done to code and his cost is reasonable.

Lou upgraded a service entrance to the house from 100 amp to 200 amp. This was a nontypical install due to requiring an exterior disconnect and long distance to interior sub-panel. Work was performed very professionally, neatly and in conjunction with local inspector. I have used Lou on subsequent projects.

I called Lou to help me find the source to a problem I had where every time I turned on a patio light, I would have a loud buzzing coming from the wall. I figured it had something to do with the shed, as we had just cleaned up the wiring out there the week before and when you clean up someone else's poor work, it tends to lead to a lot of other issues. I was getting in over my head so I called Lou out. He spent two hours with me going over things, looking for a root cause and confirming my thoughts on the original work using the wrong wire and conduit. In the end, we didn't find a solution that night...but I'm doing some homework to find out where the source of the problem is and I will definitely be calling Lou back to help me out when the time comes. I'd definitely recommend Lou for other projects as well. Very nice guy and very professional. I hope to work with him again at some point.

Finish work very good and what I wanted.

Big Lou would not commit to schedule until he was certain that he could perform on that day. When scheduled, he was prompt and quickly and professionally completed the work. His concern was to provide a quality job.

The breaker that our dryer was plugged into kept overheating and eventually stopped working. I called Lou's and left a message and he got back to me in about an hour and was able to set up time to stop by that evening. He actually came by 15 minutes before the scheduled time which was great since we wanted to get it fixed ASAP. We weren't sure if the problem was even the breaker, but Lou was able to look it over and found the problem right away. He replaced it within an hour, and even talked to us about some projects that we were interested in pursuing. Overall a great experience and a great price to boot.

I needed some diagnostic work done on some goofy wiring in my basement. He tracked it down and fixed the problem - he went above and beyond and did extra quality things to make it right. He did such a good job that I asked him to take on some other tasks around the house. He did those quickly and well.

I contacted him after seeing his ratings on Angie's List. He came over the next day and looked over the job. We discussed the work needed and I received a proposal the next day. I accepted his proposal and after finishing the jobs that he had already commited to he began the next monday. I stopped over a couple times while he was working and he explained the progress. After completion he explained everything I needed to know. All was done in a professional manner. I'm very happy with his work.

We scheduled a time for the work and he was on time, professional, and really cleaned up after himself. I can't say enough good things about him.

We called Lou after experiencing a horrible DIY project. We've installed new lighting fixtures before, so we figured a new vanity light and exhaust fan in the bathroom would be no big deal. Boy were we wrong! After properly hooking up everything and turning the breaker back on, we somehow lost power to half the rooms the breaker provided electricity to. We decided it was time to call in a professional. We called Lou on a Sunday evening. Lou answered the phone! On a Sunday? Really? That was impressive. He asked what the problem was and told us he was extremely busy so he didn't know when he would be able to come out, but he'd call us the next day. Figuring we'd probably have to call another electrician, we agreed with each other that we'd give him to the end of Monday to let him live up to his word to "get back to us." Monday evening at about 5:45, Lou called, told us he was on his way, as he had just finished up his previous job and we were on the way home. He arrived 15 minutes later, went upstairs to the bathroom and spent the next two hours rewiring our DIY mess. Then, he came back the next day to finish up rewiring the exhaust fan, which we hadn't used the right gauge wires for in the first place. (Oops) Lou blew us away with how responsive he was! He told us he couldn't let us have three bedrooms in the dark, that's why he came out Monday night right after he had just worked ALL DAY somewhere else. Lou was absolutely wonderful and we are officially done trying DIY projects with electricity! We will be calling Lou from now on. He has a great sense of humor, too. He even got me laugh and at this point in the whole bathroom project, I was far from laughing, so that's saying something about his character. His price is very reasonable and we are confident that we are safe and back up and running in all rooms, thanks to Lou.

Lou was very prompt at returning my initial call and getting all the details regarding the issues. He timely got with the tenants to perform the necessary work. I know who to call for my next electrical need.

Lou did not answer the phone, but returned the voicemail within an hour. He said he wasn't far away and could be over in a half an hour. He was true to that word. While he didn't inspire confidence at first, he said he was a little sick from a cold and he was impatient by nature anyway. But he was fastidious in eliminating all the causes for the lights being out until he zeroed in on the junction box. He undid the wire nuts and reset the breaker and the breaker did not trip. He examined each wire until he found the one with the worn insulation, and showed me where it burned a mark on the box. When he reconnected the wires, the circuit did not trip. We tested all the lights and they were good. I would hire Lou again in a heartbeat if I needed more electrical work done. Although I have a suspicion that he will be getting real busy soon, deservedly so.

The first time I used Big Lou's Electric was when wiring short circuited in one of my walls. There's nothing like hearing a popping sound in your wall to alert you to a problem. Lou came to the house immediately, traced and disconnected the faulty wiring, checked for other faulty wiring and got back to me promptly with an estimate. The work was completed properly, on time, with no further problems and at a cost I feel was very reasonable. He even thoroughly cleaned up after the work. This past summer he replaced a ceiling fixture. While this was a small job compared with the large rewiring job he'd done before, he was just as pleasant, professional, efficient, reliable, prompt and reasonably priced as with the big job. It's easy to see that he not only knows what he's doing, he enjoys his work and takes pride in it!

They came out to give an estimate on installing an exhaust fan. He was very honest, professional and gave a great price.

He returned my phone calls promptly, and showed up on time both for the estimate and the day of the actual work. There was none of that "I'll be there from 8 to 12" nonsense like you get with some other contractors. We set up a specific time, and he was there. The amount quoted during the estimate was the amount that I was charged when the work was completed. Lou is a good electrician, and a very nice person. I would definitely hire him again

I was very satisfied with the work done.

We were buying a house that had a federal pacific electric panel and wanted it replaced. Lou came out to quote the job and look and some other issues we had, and recommended a number of fixes. It was a big job, and it took a few days for Lou to get the work done, but he worked around our schedule as needed. We are entirely happy with all of the work he did, and his professionalism - he is interested in doing the job right, not just in getting it done. That's the kind of person I want taking care of my wiring, and we will use him again. Incidentally, we had a problem arise in our electrical a few months after he was here (the problem was not related to his work). Lou came out and fixed it in about 15 minutes and refused to charge us for it. A good customer service move, sure, but also a genuinely nice thing to do.

Lou did previous work for us adding outlets to our home, and always does excellent work.He focuses on safety in responding to the needs of his customers.He followed up with me to make sure I was happy with his work!
