It was absolutely wonderful! I was so impressed with the job. They moved so many things within a small amount of time. They were so courteous as well as knowledgeable and kind. They did not damage anything! I highly recommend this company to everyone who has to deal with the hassle of moving because Berman makes it so much easier.

The price estimates were valid and the move, for the most part, was carried out as we had expected on the basis of the salesman's explanation. The items were packed carefully and most arrived safely. The movers were courteous and efficient. There was one minor and one major problem. The minor problem - the used, folded moving boxes were to be picked up and removed, After we called to say they were ready, the movers arrived without warning to pick them up when we were not home. Since the boxed were stored in the garage to protect them from the weather, so they were inaccessible The movers promised to return the next day so we moved the boxes outside The movers did not return, it rained and eventually the large mass of sodden boxes had to be hauled away by the city. The major problem - two fine vintage bedroom sets were moved out of state - one to the summer home, one to the daughter's home. The furniture sets arrived safely but the large dresser mirrors were swapped. Berman Moving retained the mirror that had mistakenly been delivered to the summer home and promised to deliver that mirror to the daughter's home and pick up the other mirror, then move it to the summer home. It has now been three months since the move and the mirrors have still not been exchanged despite repeated calls to Berman Moving. They have explained that they have to have a load going to Atlanta and that return load has to have room to pack the mirror and that circumstance has not occurred yet. The value of both vintage bedroom sets is greatly diminished without the dresser mirrors and we are worried that the mirror still being stored by Berman Moving will eventually be lost. We want the move to be competed at last.

I canned Berman and need a rush move. The put me in the very next day! The move went perfectly. Tony called 30 minutes out as he said he would, and arrived at the location in exactly 30 minutes. They were very careful moving everything and were courteous and flexible when asked to move their truck. They followed me to the first location, unloaded half the stuff, then followed me to the second location and unloaded the rest. It could have been better; Tony and Ray were prompt, courteous and careful. I gave them a B on price because a $20 fuel charge was tacked on that I hadn't been told about. Other than that, the pricing was competitive.

We had to move twice this year and used Berman Moving services both times. The 2 experiences could not be more different. The first move in November was fantastic. The movers moved things quickly and efficiently and all our possessions arrived in the condition they left. The February 7, 2013 move was not good. From the start, I had problems with scheduling. I offered up 3 days for my availability. Berman was available for 2 of those, so they told me to pick the one I wanted. Being that we had moved the same items 2 months ago, I knew that it would take the movers 4 hours to do the job, so I chose a Thursday afternoon so that I would only have to miss a half day of work. After scheduling for a specific day, I then received a return phone call informing me that I would have to pay overtime for every hour after 4 pm. I explained that I would rather not do this and asked why I was not told this when I scheduled. The man on the phone said he would talk with his manager, called me back, and waived the overtime fee. I was also told that I had to buy insurance if I wanted it… otherwise things were not covered. And I’m so glad I did. Moving day arrived and I received a phone call from the movers about 2 hours before the scheduled time. Ray asked me what items I want moved. I listed each item slowly so that he could write them down if he wanted. When I mentioned the washing machine, he told me that he will not disconnect the plumping and that if I can’t do it myself, I have to hire an “outside contractor” to take care of it. I found this annoying, but was able to disconnect the clothes washer myself. This is something I should have been told before moving day. When the 2 men arrived, they once again asked what I want moved. I was confused as to why they asked again since we just had this conversation on the phone. It was then evident that they didn’t write anything down. Throughout the move, I was nervous watching the 2 movers. It was evident that Ray knew what he was doing, but I had the impression that it was Tony’s first day and that he was untrained. I watched him drop my couch TWICE, trip over and step on items I had on the floor, and shakily carry parts of my bedroom set up the stairs and he just barely avoided hitting the walls. The entire time I’m thinking ‘I could do a better job!’ The 2 men kept telling me how quick the move would go (almost like bragging) and I repeatedly replied that I wasn’t worried about speed; I was worried about things being done well. So I was not happy when they announced they had everything packed, but didn’t pack the couch. They then had to go to the truck and move stuff around so that the couch would fit. Despite all this, the 2 men were very nice. However, I was very unhappy with this experience. Once at the new home, I noticed that my bookshelf was newly damaged. I filed a complaint with Berman. When the furniture repair woman contacts me, I ask her if she is free April 1-7 because that is when I am off work. She tells me she does not work nights and weekends and would rather not schedule so far in advance. She asked me if I can either take off work or find someone to be at the house. I ask my husband to take a Friday off and he obliges but is not happy about it. The evening before the scheduled repair (March 7), I was celebrating a family birthday. Sheri called, but I did not hear my phone. When I got home that evening (around 10 pm) I listen to the message from Sheri and she says she will be at our house in the morning. There was no request to call her back, so it sounded like we were all set. However, she did not show up. Because she had my cell phone number and I did not answer that morning (my phone is always off at work), she didn’t show up. If she had told me it was her policy to only come if I answer the phone, I would have made sure to give her my husband’s cell phone, but none of this was ever brought up. I have listened to the message she left me many times and she simply stated that she would be there the next day. There is no request to call her back nor to answer the phone the next day. When we scheduled the appointment, she had said she would come and I told her my husband would be home. If she had told us her policy was only to show up that morning if we answer the phone, I would have gladly followed instructions. We eventually did get Sheri to come out and her repair work is superior. Just be sure to be on call the day she is scheduled to come out.

The day before my original scheduled date -- I got sick and had to reschedule my move by a full week. Because I was only moving 11 miles inside the county, Berman did not charge me any fees for only 24 hours notice. I felt horrible for the crew on the actual day of the move because they had worked in torrential rain for days before, and it was still drizzly the day of my move. They were thankful that it was only a drizzle and assured me that they were just fine and everything would arrive dry. I'm a disabled veteran so I have to depend on others to do most and quot;physical laborand quot; for me. Two of my packer-friends had to cancel three full days of packing on top of my own sundry-packing downtime from bronchitis, so I had far less packed than I had hoped. I had plenty of boxes -- they just weren't packed. The guys assessed everything and assured me that they could not only move my furniture and my already-packed boxes, but also easily pack the rest of my boxes for me and still be at or under the estimated time, so I told them to have at. I had also requested ahead of time that if the crew could finish at my old flat early - to pick up about 40 boxes that I had in self-storage just 2 miles from my new flat. During the packing, we lost more than a full hour because passengers were using the freight elevator, then my old landlord had to actually repair the freight elevator because the passengers broke it. Even with all of the time spent packing boxes at my old flat, putting all of my boxes and small furniture into and quot;speed packsand quot; (HUGE transport boxes), wrapping and blanketing my large furniture, etc., AND the elevator delay, the crew finished packing the truck early enough at my old flat to pick up the 40 boxes at my self-storage unit, then unload everything at my new flat WITHIN the estimated time. (and it was all dry too!) I'm a very fussy person, just like many disabled people who have to ask other people to do a lot of things that able people normally do for themselves, and these gentlemen are serious fussy people pleasers! Before the day of the move, I had put sticky notes all over my new flat to indicate precisely where all of my furniture and household items needed to go. They told me that my notes saved them a ton of time. From the time they arrived at my old flat in the morning until they left my new flat at the end of the day, they followed my requests to a T, and none of my furniture or boxes got damaged or even damp from the rain. After they left, I panicked for a moment when I realized I had no idea where my hat, scarf and some sundries I had sitting all together on a shelf by my old door were. I was afraid they had gotten packed into some mystery box I might not find for weeks, but as fast as I turned around to look for them -- there they were -- all together neatly arranged for me like the guys had read my mind! I've had unpack all of my boxes by myself, so it has taken me many weeks to get it done, but every time I have opened one of the boxes they packed -- everything was fully intact and it all made perfect sense to me. This is the third time I've used pro movers here in NE Ohio, and the care and attention to detail that Berman gave me and my belongings this time makes both previous companies look like blind deaf bulls in a China shop. All of my boxes and small items like night tables and dining chairs were secured inside the larger speed packs. All of my large furniture pieces were individually wrapped to prevent any dings or damage. They are not the cheapest, but they more than proved to me that if you want it done the way you want it done, they are up to the task. The gentleman I spoke to in the office at Berman assured me that they always try to estimate a bit high because most moves have some and quot;surprisesand quot;, whether it's extra prep time for antiques, furniture that has to be disassembled for doorways, elevator problems, bad weather, or just about anything else that might be governed by Murphy's Law -- and Berman wants customers to budget appropriately so that the one thing that never surprises is the invoice. Even with Murphy's Law affecting my own health, my packer-friends, the freight elevator, and the cruddy weather to boot -- all of which had me incredibly frazzled -- the spot-on invoice did not surprise me at all. These guys go way above and beyond the call. They know how to handle people's belongings and how to handle frazzled people too.

We were very happy with the service that Berman Moving provided for us. Two guys showed up with a truck within the half hour window that they had told me they would arrive. The guys were very professional and took great care to move our furniture and belongings without damaging anything (including the house). They knew exactly how to move things and in what order to get the job done quickly (much quicker than I expected). They also took the time to make sure that they had gotten everything and that I hadn't forgotten any items. All of the items were strapped into the truck with plenty of padding before the next items were loaded. Unloading the items at the destination was also a positive experience. They took the time to make sure that all of the furniture was leveled properly and in the exact location I was looking for. They also took care to make sure that nothing was damaged in the process. I was extremely happy with the service, and was only charged for the time that the job took (which ended up being less than the quote I was originally given). We will have to move again next year, and I will definitely use them for the next move.

Hands down, the best experience I've had dealing with a service company. From Randy, who came out and gave the original quote, and was kind enough and gave a second quote when my plans got changed around, to our movers, Tony, Mike, and Henry. Very kind, very professional. They took extra good care of my items, and my house. Were very careful moving large items, were very friendly, and made sure to put items where I could easily find them. I would hire Berman's again without hesitation. :-)

Professional. Polite. Courteous. And good. Berman sent out four guys who did a tremendous job with a LOT of stuff to be moved. They didn't complain or grumble....just got it done. And, to boot, they made sure my pregnant wife (who is inclined to jump in and lift things in spite of being pregnant) did not lift a finger. I'd hire these guys again and again.

Two very experienced movers arrived 45 minutes early with a medium sized truck. Early was not a problem --- I was ready. We did a walk through and I explained the job. The company had a 4 hour minimum and used up a little over 3 hours, including travel. The minimum was the only reason I gave them a and quot;band quot; on price. All went very well. We had a treadmill at the storage facility that our original movers could not fit down the stairs into the basement. They looked at it and said and quot;no problem!and quot; loaded it into the truck, returned to the house and took it apart. Once downstairs they reassembled it and tested it. I was very pleased. The guys knew they were ahead of schedule and kept asking if there was anything else they could do for us. They helped me rearrange some furniture and helped me reassemble some items that I hadn't had a chance to complete. One more thing. When the lead mover presented the bill it showed the Angie's list discount. I had already forgotten about that!

They were excellent to work with! It was a long process, but it went smoothly and they handled everything. I was pregnant, so anything I couldn't pack, they took care of. It was a great experience overall. I'd use them again!

My initial request for info from Berman had no follow-through. My follow-up call received many apologies that some way I had not been serviced. Quickly the onsite estimate was arranged. The estimate was fair compared to other quotes. The explanations of service and clear written materials, as well as Nate's confidence convinced me to use this company. It was a good decision. Everything happened as I had hoped. I had prompt answers to questions, prompt arrival of moving trucks, efficient management of all the goods. I heartily recommend this company.

I use them on a regular basis. They are very professional. The guys worked. They didn't take any time off. They did what they were supposed to do. They got in and got out. They got the work done in seven hours even though they had estimated it as taking eight.

I am investigating Bob's referrals. He gave me pointers on what to ask and how to assess them.

They arrived a little late. Said they would be there at 8:30 to 9:00 and arrived at 9:15. They were supposed to have four men and two trucks. They showed up with only three men and one truck. Moved relatively slow loading the truck. Seemed to take a couple of long brakes. Informed me that the second truck was on its way. Took most of the day to load the truck (until about 3pm). Had the truck fully loaded and still had stuff to load. They left for the new house and the second truck (with two men) finally showed up and loaded the rest quickly. Because they only had three men loading, they used five men to unload. The unloading went quickly, but it had to considering how long the loading took. They finally go done after 6pm. With the payment process, they did not leave until 7pm. They prorated the bill based on the men and trucks given, but still ended up going over the estimate because it took so long. Because they only had one truck initially, they had to pack it tight which took a long time.

They were very accomodating with my two part move. All the guys that came out were very professional and friendly. There was only one incident in which the first crew was hesitant to even try to move my entertainment center at the end of the day. I called and spoke to the manager, who then turned around and sent a second crew who was able to get the entertainment center moved to where I wanted it.

We haven't moved yet. It was a free estimate and it went very well. They came and did the inventory. It was very professional. They were very efficient and responsive to our questions. They said they would give an estimate within 24 hours and they did. It was a very pleasant experience. I haven't really used them for the move. The quote process was fine. I would consider using them in the future.

They did a great job - we had a lot of stuff, and they quickly and neatly transported it back to their storage in Cleveland. They also delivered about 20 boxes to our home, per our request. At first, they were slow to respond to confirm the job, but once the move date was set, they were prompt and did whatever it took to get my daughter moved out and back to Cleveland.

They were fine. The estimate was what they said and they were very gentle with our stuff. We thought that they did a fine job. We spent about $1500 on that service.

Berman's staff members are very professional. There was no surprises in the entire process. We were told how long it would take to pack, how it would take to load and unload the truck. The time and material estimates were right on target. The staff arrived on time. Nothing was lost or broken. The staff was very considerate about covering floors in new home as not to scratch wood floors or track in mud! It was pouring rain during most of the unloading! If you are moving, make your first call to Berman's. You might not need to make a second call for another estimate.

It all went very well, and they accommodated us quickly which was appreciated.

It was very good and quick. We didn't have a whole lot to move, but they were very efficient. We were very pleased.
