The big deal for Rescue Rooter Cleveland turned out good. They tried to charge me more because they didn't understand how the big deal worked but we could do without. I think the big deal was 99 dollars for 200 dollars worth of services. They tried to add 99 dollars into the price and I was like no. That doesn't make any sense why would we pay 99 dollars for 200 worth of services. They should've taken 200 dollars off the bill. It took a while to figure it out but definitely did it. It was 1000 dollar repair. It was probably a little more expensive than other companies but at that point I had already bought the deal so I didn't want it to go waste. I would probably use this provider in the future. The price was pretty expensive.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it worked out fine. Nothing either stood out or did not stand out; it was a pretty basic call. They did everything up to expectations, showed up on time and honored the call. As it turns out the drain needs to be replaced because it has collapsed underground. My interaction with the provider was real good. They were nice people to work with. They honored their price, were on time and did as much as they could.

The man who came to my house was very professional and punctual.

It was seamless and easy. The plumber was in and out and did a great job.

There were some scheduling issues due to the weather. We had a burst pipe in our garage the day before he was scheduled which he fixed and he also replaced the wax ring on the toilet. He didn’t do the work included in the deal since we had other immediate needs. We were happy with the job he did but we didn’t get the toilets tuned or an inspection. The technician was very pleasant and knowledgable.

It went fine, I wanted the rings changed in 3 toilets but he only had one replacement ring in his truck. The deal also called for a whole house inspection but he didn't have time for that and said he'd come back. I just don't have time for another visit wish I could have gotten it all done at once.

Not well. Things are not holding repairs. One toilet is already having trouble flushing (this was fixed). And I had to have water pressure refixed, by them.

Once he found out I had bought the deal for $200 of service for $99, the price went up from $170 to $270! (That's with me providing all the parts). He worked for 45 minutes, skipped the trash can and dumped the broken pipes into a mixing bowl and split. I definitely felt taken advantage of. They were also flaky in setting up the appointment. It took many calls and emails. ... and they were 2 hours late. ... and they will call you every 2 weeks for the rest of your life to ask you sign up for some additional service.

Steve came on time and of course , the drip stopped just as he rand the doorbell. A couple of weeks later the drip returned, and so did Steve. He replaced a cartridge in a spigot and was on his way. I have purchased another Angie's List deal with ARS.

The service was great. The experience was perfectly positive, he went above and beyond. I paid an additional amount.

History - ARS replaced my sanitary sewer line from my clean-out tee to the street in 2010 due to a belly in the line at a cost of $6,000. I continue to have back-up problems. ARS claims there is a belly in the city's section of my sanitary sewer after using a camera to look for the belly. I called the city and they used a camera also, but they claim the belly is in the same section that ARS replaced. I will be using a third party to confirm who is right. I would not recommend ARS Rescue Rooter. I no longer trust this company.

I took the afternoon off from work to be available at my father's. I called Kelly's number from ARS (800-735-7200) at 1:30 to confirm the service. Kelly was not working, but Erika advised that the technician was running late but would be out to do the service. At 4 pm I called back. Erika did not remember that we had just spoken 2-1/2 hours earlier. She stated that the repair person had been to the house, called, and had no response. I asked if she used the information I had confirmed at 1:30 and also left with Kelly for this order. She thought she had. I asked that Kelly call me on Monday. When I got home to my residence, there was a call on my home phone from the technician stating he had been at my residence to do the service but no one was home. I did not receive the promised call on Monday, February 17th. I called ARS on Tuesday, February 18th and was told that Kelly was not in but would return my call on Wed February 19th. No call was received. I did receive a "robo call" from ARS asking about my experience. The recording indicated I would be hearing from an ARS manager. No call to day (3/1/2014). I have since contacted another plumber that has completed the tune up of my dad's toilet. I am out $49 and am very disappointed in this company; especially their administrative support and follow up.

Easy to work with and very professional company from start to finish.

The company was very prompt in terms of scheduling an appointment. I purchased the coupon, but when the bid was calculated the cost was just too high for me to afford. The plumber who came out to our house was thorough, and complete. He seemed knowledgable. We just could not afford the company's pricing for the work.

Excellent Steve was very professional and did a detailed home inspection. I was very happy with his time and professional attitude.

Very disappointed. I asked him if he could put one in for the $200 and he said no you would have to pay.

The technician was punctual and friendly. He worked for nearly 4 hours to take care of the initial problem (clogged sink). I was disappointed that the leaky faucet in our bathroom was not fixed (only adjusted) and much to my dismay kept leaking after the technician left. I didn't discover that until the technician was gone. I am sure that he would have worked more on the sink had it been called to his attention. The snaking of the kitchen sink was not covered by the Big Deal, which I didn't know when I purchased the deal. That was pointed out in the fine print, so that is my fault. I ended up being able to use the deal because of the reworking of the plumbing in the basement. The job ended up being much more expensive and time consuming than I had assumed. I thought the hourly rate of $150 was a little steep. I was not informed of that ahead of time, nor was I given an estimate before the work occurred. But since they were there, and the sink was clogged, I just went ahead. But, Ouch! The bill hurt. Because of the hourly charge, I will probably look for another plumber when the occasion arises.

The overall experience was positive with scheduling, customer service and the technician was professional. It only needed the chain adjusted and need to hold lever a few seconds longer as it is a "power flush toilet."

I purchased a plumbing deal from ARS/Rescue Rooter Cleveland. We made an appoint and they day of they called and left a message saying someone was in the area who could do the work. As far I'm concerned, an appointment means someone shows up at that scheduled time and does the work. By the time I realized they had left the message, we were well into our appointment time. I called, they said someone was still in the area so we said fine send them over. 45 minutes later, no one was there and we needed to leave. We cancelled the "appointment" and are working on a refund.

As part of our purchase agreement for our new home we had requested a new disposal installed. We checked that it was installed and worked but failed to notice that it leaked when water passed through. This meant we couldn't use our kitchen sink AND dishwasher because the line connected through that part of the disposal. I couldn't tell where the leak was coming from so bought an Angie's List deal for plumbing service. I called ARS at 8:10 AM and they had a tech out by 11 AM that day (this was not an emergency call and they happened to have a tech available). Our tech arrived in the early part of our 2-hour window and was very professional. We had some other minor leaks in other rooms but he let us know it was the faucets themselves that were leaking. We are replacing them soon anyway so we had him skip those repairs. However, he found the leak in the disposal (it was an improperly installed O-ring where the PVC connects to the disposal) and repaired it quickly.

I purchased the BIG DEAL for $200 plumbing for $99 so I only paid the $111 balance!! I contacted them by e-mail before I made the purchase. Their response answered all my questions so I purchased the DEAL. Within minutes we had the appointment set up and they came today. John was wonderful. He was prompt, professional, and did an A+ job removing our old toilet and installing a new one.

I am not real pleased with the service and I think it was because of the gentleman that came out. I felt that he overcharged me. I was not real pleased with him but he was very nice when he came here. I am a widow and generally, it is hard for me to call somebody to do all this stuff because my husband always did this. The plumber said he would have to rebuild the hole inside the toilet, I said I know exactly what parts and he charged like a $191. What I really needed him was to check the leak under the sink, I knew exactly what it was and he tightened a pipe, but he should have replaced that pipe with a longer one because he was saying how short it was. All he did was tightened it and not replace it and when I complained about that, he took $45 off. He charged me $181 plus the $99 for the deal. The people I dealt with when I called for an appointment were very nice. My water in the refrigerator stopped working after he left and they didn’t call me back for about five hours and I was supposed to do something that afternoon; it was just an awful day. He called and said he didn’t touch anything to my refrigerator but he had to turn the water off for the main source here. So I wasn’t pleased with him but I was pleased with the people. They did call the other night when I wasn’t home and left a message and they wanted to know how their service was but I did not call them back. I felt that I got taken.

HARD TO PUT A VALUE ON THIS. HE CAME, I HAD SAID I DID NOT HAVE HOT WATER IN THE MAIN BATHROOM SHOWER. I TOLD THEM THIS BEFORE THEY CAME OUT. WHEN HE CAME, HE WAS VERY NICE, BUT SAID HE HAD NO IDEA HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM. HE TOLD ME THERE WOULD BE NO CHARGE, AND WOULD HAVE A DIFFERENT PERSON COME OUT WHO COULD HELP WITH THIS PROBLEM. I WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE CHUCK WHO HAD MORE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS TYPE OF PROBLEM. HOWEVER, IT HAS BEEN TWO WEEKS AND THERE HAS BEEN NO CALL FROM THEM TO SET UP A TIME FOR CHUCK TO COME OUT. I DID NOT WANT TO CALL IN ANOTHER COMPANY AS I WAS REALLY THINKING THEY WERE GOING TO COME BACK AS I WAS TOLD. SO, I REALLY WISH THEY HAD JUST SAID THEY COULD NOT HELP ME AND TO SEEK A DIFFERENT COMPANY TO COME OUT. I COULD HAVE MAYBE HAD A HOT SHOWER THESE LAST TWO WEEKS I WAITED FOR THEM.

We are new to this home and we needed someone to inspect the plumbing. They did an excellent job and were very nice. Joe was the one to come out, who is normally the warehouse, but they were pulling all of the resources from their business to make sure that someone made it to the appointment on time after the terrible ice storm we got here. I want to stress that they were truthful, they did not pressure us into buying more than want we needed to, they gave us alternative routes to take with any upcoming issues and also gave us a time frame of what to expect with the plumbing in the future (i.e. within the next 2-5 years this can happen with this type of system) and approximately how much it will cost. This is very helpful to us because of course the past owners won't let you know of all of these things.

It turned out just fine. They ended up fixing the issue and replacing the parts. They really did a very nice job and went above and beyond. We really appreciated it. They really went out of their way to make sure that we were satisfied. They went above and beyond and took extra trips to the part store just to make sure we have what we needed. They took a lot of time explaining things. They were really just a joy to be with.
