They were available right away. They were punctual, polite, and friendly. They knew immediately what needed to be done. He brought in the heavy, long snake - by himself- and cleaned out the pipe. He informed me of what he was doing and why. He then called the company "camera man", who scoped out the pipe FREE. There may be some follow- up work, but my immediate problem was successfully and promptly fixed.

I needed a new hot water tank. I purchased a service from Sal's Heating & Cooling Inc on Angieslist.com. Two workers came. They are very nice and very efficient to finish the job.

I am very pleased. They were polite and respectful. They cleaned up after themselves and removed all debris.

ARS came in a very time manner, and had it fixed in no time. John even had time to fix my neighbor's yard as well. John was very professional, and was on time to the appointment. He cleaned up his mess, I could not even tell he had been to my home. I would recommended ARS to anyone needing sewer/plumbing work!

All staff of ARS explained and showed me everything they did, step-by-step. They patiently answered all my many questions and gave me lots of helpful advice and tips. I trust them immensely. They were pleasant and good company as well, even though they worked long hot days. They also charged only 50% of what a previous contractor charged, did more work in one fifth of the time and did more extensive analysis, improvements and feedback.

Rescue Rooter was called out by home warranty company to investigate water heater. The call was made Tuesday evening, I called Rescue Rooter Wednesday to confirm that they had received the dispatch because I had not heard anything. They confirmed the dispatch and informed me that someone would call me Thursday morning to confirm a time. They were prompt on Thursday morning and informed me that a plumber is on his way. When the plumber showed up, I showed him the water heater and he immediately informed me that yes, the water heater needed replaced. I asked him how much would it cost to replace the old ball valve cold water supply to the water heater and he informed me that several things needed updated and he would have to contact the warranty company before he could give me prices. He proceeds to write down several components that apparently needed updated and then goes to his truck for 15 minutes. He exits the truck and informs me that the water heater is covered by the warranty, but the adjustments that need to be made to my plumbing are not and he cannot replace the water heater without these adjustments. He then hands me an estimate for $835 for these modifications. These estimates include $145 for a 3/4" Ball Valve, $145 for a gas valve, $135 for a permit, when I found out that it is only $35 for our permit. The list continued on like this, so I called my warranty company and they informed me that they would pay up to $400 for the water heater, parts, and installation. I paid Rescue Rooter my $60 co-pay and then I called a licensed plumber friend of mine and we got the entire job completed for $418.

I had used them before. They did a good job.

They said it did not have a leak. They said they did not want to do the work. The leak did stop. The water heater did need to be replaced but I think they just went around it. I brought someone else over that said they it needed to be replaced. The water heater has not leaked so they fixed it. In the beginning the experience went fine until I realized they were sending someone out that was not knowledgeable on the equipment we had. The third time they sent someone that knew how to deal with this type of water heater. They did so after I complained. The home insurance deals with them.

The appointment was scheduled to occur between 4 and 8pm. I got a call at 4:15 letting me know the plumber was running late, which was more than I expected. He arrived at 8:10pm. Larry was very professional, listened to the problems, and fixed everything within an hour. The kitchen sink needed to be snaked. I commented on the awful odor, which I had smelled before in the house (I just bought it a month ago) but assumed was related to toilets, not the kitchen sink. He cleared the clog, let the water run for a long time to make sure it was clear, and even poured a bottle of DrainRight down the drain to help remove odors and prevent further clogging. He helped me understand the cause of the odors, and recommended a company (State Chemical) that might have products to use to remove odors from all of the plumbing in the house. He was able to stop the leaking pipe in the basement with a wrench, but went back to his truck to get a new washer and installed that, which was more than he had to do. I have American Home Shield insurance, so the service call cost $60 because these items were covered by my policy. I don't know what it would have cost if I didn't have that insurance, but I was very pleased with the plumber, and with the office calling to update me on the status of the appointment- including a call letting me know when the plumber was on his way and where he was coming from.

We have used them for more than 20 years, and have never had a problem. They have always been very courteous. This time, they arrived late. They had a heavy machine that they bounced down my stairs, cracking and gouging 7 steps. When the manager came out later to look at the damage, he offered to take $50 off my bill, which isn't nearly enough to cover the damage. I told him I would call him when I got an estimate on the cost to repair. They left a sprayed mess that we had to clean up. After canceling 3 previous appointments they finally came out to take pictures of the steps with a disposable camera. He kept saying there was nothing wrong with the steps, that it wasn't their fault, and that there was no way his company was going to pay the $300 to fix them. He ended up yelling at me, and blaming me. I have left several messages for the general manager, of which have yet to be returned.

They got somebody out quickly. The kid was really nice. They didn't charge me outrageous fees.

Arrived same day as called. Completed work properly. Stayed on job until done. Even looked at some other potential problems in home. Was nice and kind. Especially happy because several plumbing services would not do it.

Seemed like a lot of money for 2 hrs of pressure jetting the drains and downspouts. Supposedly they cleared out the drains a lot. I think I should have paid for 1 hr only.

I called and cancelled the work. Still hasn't showed up today. The people in the office were helpful. My experience with George was less than thrilling.

The technician arrived 30 minutes into the scheduled 2-hour window and had the job completed in an hour. He was very courteous and professional and cleaned up everything after the messy job was done. I will have them come back each year just to prevent last year's disaster.

ARS came out the same day and were on time. We are new homeowners and it wasn't until after we paid $815 dollars that we found out from others that sewage coming up the basement drain means the city's line's are blocked. We called our city service department, and they said they would have come out and used high pressure water to clean the line, free of charge. They will be repairing the shift in the sewer line this week. We feel that ARS took advantage of our lack of plumbing experience, and should have informed us that the sewage backup was due to problems with the city's pipes, not ours.

Courteous. Prompt. Did a fair job of clean up after repair. They did recommend other services that were expensive, and I declined them at this time. I'm not sure that the work is necessary, but it may be. The work that was done was done well, and I believe the price was competitive.

Jim was very nice and conscientious. I called around 4:30pm on Saturday, and Jim arrived about 90 minutes later.

Both times the plumber was here, he was within, if not before, the estimated time I was given. Both the plumber and the camera operator were very courteous, and I feel that the price was very reasonable, considering the time, effort and equipment that was required. I would definitely use ARS again.

The man showed up on time, he explained the process before doing the work, and he was very courteous. He provided an estimate before the work was actually done.

THEY TOOK MY SERVICE CALL, WERE COURTEOUS ON THE PHONE, CALLED ME BACK WITHIN A FEW MINUTES AND HAD A TECHNICIAN OUT TO MY HOUSE IN LESS THAN AN HOUR. (ON A SATURDAY) HE WAS ON TIME, COURTEOUS, KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING, GAVE ME A FIXED PRICE ESTIMATE BEFORE STARTING, AND WORKED ON IT FOR ABOUT AN HOUR. DID A VERY GOOD JOB. I DON'T KNOW HOW THE PRICE STACKS UP TO OTHERS, BUT I FEEL IT IS PROBABLY COMPETITIVE. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM. ONE NOTE, IN STRONGSVILLE, THE RESCUE ROOTER CONTRACT SEEMS TO BE SERVICED BY A COMPANY CALLED ARS. THAT IS WHO ANSWERS THEIR PHONE AND THAT IS THE NAME ON THEIR TRUCK. SO, MY COMMENTS I GUESS APPLY TO ARS SPECIFICALLY.

PAUL WAS GREAT. HE EXPLAINED EVERYTHING TO ME, INCLUDING WHAT I WOULD NEED TO KNOW IN DEALING WITH AHS. I WOULD HIRE THEM AGAIN.

A "TOTAL REBUILD" WAS REQUIRED ON OUR TOILET AND WE AGREED TO THIS SINCE ANOTHER PLUMBER HAD TOLD US THE SAME THING. AFTER A FEW HOURS OF WORK ON A FRIDAY AFTERNOON, THE GUY STARTED TO LEAVE. I CHECKED THE TOILET QUICKLY AND IT STILL WASN'T FLUSHING PROPERLY. I GOT HIM OUT OF HIS VAN AND HE SAID HE HADN'T "HOOKED SOMETHING UP". HE WENT IN THE BATHROOM AND THEN PROCEEDED TO LEAVE. I WENT BACK IN THE BATHROOM AND THE FLOOR WAS WET, I DISCOVERED THE TANK WAS DRIPPING, A NEW PROBLEM! I IMMEDIATELY CALLED THE COMPANY AND WAS TOLD THE GUY HAD TURNED HIS PHONE OFF AND "YOU'LL JUST HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL MORNING". (A SATURDAY MORNING WHEN WE HAD PLANS, BY THE WAY.) I WAS FURIOUS! THE NEXT DAY THE GUY CAME (AT THE WRONG TIME) AND SAID NOW WE'D HAVE TO REPLACE THE TOILET SINCE HE HAD CRACKED THE TANK. SO WE HAD TO PAY FOR A NEW TOILET, BECAUSE HE BROKE THE OLD ONE. THE WORK WAS SLOW, THE GUY WAS SWEARING DURING THE WORK, AND NEEDLESS TO SAY, AN UNSATISFACTORY RESULT.

OVERALL A GOOD EXPERIENCE. THEY OFFERED THE BETTER PRICE BETWEEN TWO OTHER COMPANIES, ALTHOUGH I THINK THE INDUSTRY AS A WHOLE OVERCHARGES FOR THIS TYPE OF WORK.
